The sun had fully risen over Swan Lake. Our heroes were sitting on some stone steps.

'So let me get this straight...' Puffin was saying. 'Every night when the moonlight leaves the lake you...' he stretched out his neck as an example.

Odette and Pearl had been explaining the whole story.

'Right' said Odette. 'The following night, if I want to turn back into a human, I have to be on the lake'

'And if there is no moon, Odette has to stay a swan for the night, am I right?' Pearl asked.

'You are are indeed' Odette smiled.

'Hmph!' scoffed Jean-Bob. 'All she needs is a little moonlight. Me? I have to be smooched'

Pearl rolled her eyes in his direction. 'Jean-Bob. This isn't about you'

'Hey! I am aware of 'zat!' Jean-Bob spat.

Pearl just sighed.

'No fear!' said Puffin. 'You fly to your prince, we bring him back to the lake, the moon comes up, you change into a princess and...happily ever after!'

'How can I find him?' asked Odette.

'You don't know where he is?!'

'I don't even know where I am'

'Neither do I' Pearl chimed in. 'I only found her because I heard her singing'

'I'll bet he knows where Derek is' said Speed, pointing in the direction of Rothbart's castle.

'Ooh 'zat's a great idea!' said Jean-Bob. 'Just say "Monsieur Rothbart, I'd like to leave now, do you have a map or something?'

Pearl gasped. 'That's it!' And she turned to Puffin.

'A map!' they both said at the same time. Jean-Bob clapped his hands over his mouth, realising what he had done.

'Let's do it!' Odette cheered. And in no time Puffin, Pearl and Odette took off into the air to the castle, looking through the windows. As they did, they broke into song.

ODETTE: We're off on a mission! PEARL: We're tough in good condition!

PUFFIN: We short! ODETTE AND PEARL: But standing tall!

ALL: No Fear!

ODETTE: There's danger around us! JEAN-BOB: They'd hurt us if they found us!

SPEED: Our backs are to the wall!

ALL: No Fear!

ODETTE AND PEARL: 'Cause we have all the courage we desire!

PUFFIN: Take it from the frequent flyers!

PEARL: Try your luck! ODETTE: Our plan will fly!

ALL: No Fear!

Finally Odette signaled Puffin and Pearl to head back to Speed and Jean-Bob.

'It's hanging on a wall. In the upper chamber!' she explained when they returned.

'Odette will keep a lookout while we get the map' Puffin the other three.

'We?' said Jean-Bob.

'You're not helping us?!' Pearl asked in disgust.

'Oui!'

The female puffin was about to say something else, but...

JEAN-BOB: This plan if applied'll be simply suicidal! You'll be a sitting duck!

ODETTE, PEARL, SPEED AND PUFFIN: No Fear!

JEAN-BOB: Suppose that I do this, who knows if we'll live through this! How 'bout a kiss for luck?

ODETTE: No!

SPEED, PUFFIN AND PEARL: Fear!

PEARL: Our team is shy one green web-footed volunteer!

JEAN-BOB No way Jose! No chance!

SPEED: No choice!

ODETTE, PEARL AND PUFFIN: No fear!

So Pearl and Puffin grabbed the little frog and dragged him all the way up to the castle door.

Odette flew around to keep an eye on things, while the group went inside.

'Alright guys.' Pearl whispered as they went inside. 'Quick!'

'Easy for you to say' Speed groaned. Things got worse for him as the door closed on his shell, preventing him from moving at all.

Puffin, Pearl and Jean-Bob raced back to help him.

Jean-Bob was annoyed. 'Whenever I need to do something quick, I always bring a turtle!'

They managed to free him and they made their way up to the upper chamber. Halfway there, Speed lifted one of his feet. 'I think I pulled a muscle'

'I'm gonna die!' Jean-Bob shouted. I knew it! I'm on a dangerous mission with a lame turtle! You're gonna get us all killed!'

Suddenly Jean-Bob accidently punched something metal. It was a suit of armor and Jean-Bob punch was enough to make it fall and cause a lot of noise.

Together Puffin and Pearl tried to push the armour back in its place. But their efforts weren't enough to stop all the noise.

'Come on guys!' Pearl puffed as soon as the armour was positioned again. 'Now we really need to be quick! Anyone could've heard this and we may end up in deep water!'

She shuddered, just saying that.

Then she and Puffin flew up to the room where Jean-Bob and Speed were waiting. Odette was right. A map of the land was pinned on the stone wall next to a window where Odette was waiting outside.

ODETTE, PEARL, PUFFIN & SPEED: We will take any dare
That the other side'll dare to dream up
We'll fight tough, we'll play fair
But we're sure to win because we'll team up

Puffin opened the window while Pearl took the map down from the wall. She was about to hand it to Odette when suddenly the window slammed shut.

Pearl and Puffin squawked at what had cause it.

It was Bridget, Rothbart's stooge.

'Yikes!' Speed backed away.

'Head for the door!' Puffin grabbed Pearl's wing and flew her towards the door, with the map in his beak.

Unfortunatly, Bridget was fast enough to block the entrance.

Pearl covered her head in her wings. 'What do we do?!' she moaned, frantically.

'Alright!' Puffin gathered everyone around. 'Jean-Bob goes deep, Speed gets the hand-off!'

'What?!' Pearl was confused.

Puffin turned to her. 'Just stick with me. You'll understand'

'Uh? Ok'

'Ready?'

'Ready!'

'Get set! Hut hut!'

Speed tossed the map under his shell towards Puffin. As they headed towards Bridget, Puffin tossed the map to Pearl.

She panicked! 'I don't kn-'

'I'm open! I'm open!' Jean-Bob called to her.

Pearl didn't know what else to do, so she shrugged and tossed the map towards him.

Bridget jumped to catch, but it flew into the hands of the the frog. Bridget grabbed him and hit him with the map.

But Puffin was there to hit Jean-Bob back. 'Catch that map!' he called.

Jean-Bob snatched the map as he flew past Bridget. And the chase was on.

The map went back and forth from person to person, until finally Speed retreated into his shell and the map was thrown into it. Puffin, Pearl and Jean-Bob hopped onto the shell and the chaos continued down a flight of stairs.

JEAN-BOB: I'm shaking! I'm leaking! SPEED: He's freaking frankly speaking!

JEAN-BOB: We're riding for a fall!

ALL: No Fear!

JEAN-BOB: She's gaining! She's faster! We're heading for disaster!

PUFFIN: Our hero, warts and all!

ALL: No Fear!

PEARL: I would be fine if one of us knew how to steer!

Speed's shell was flung out a window and they plummeted towards the water below, where the hungry alligators from the previous night were waiting.

Puffin managed to save Speed, but Pearl was left to find Jean-Bob who was too close to the alligators.

Pearl panicked again. What could she do? She was too afraid of being pulled underwater again.

But luckily Odette quickly swooped down and grabbed Jean-Bob before any harm could befall him and she along with Pearl flew back down to where Puffin and Speed awaited them.

Pearl could helped cowering as Jean-Bob shot at her 'How could you just stay 'zere and almost let me get chewed?!'

'Jean-Bob! Odette scolded. 'How many times do I have to tell you-'

'I know! I know!' Jean-Bob cut her off.

'What is this all about?' Puffin asked.

Pearl was embarrassed, but she couldn't keep a secret like this from a nice guy.

'I...' she stuttered. 'I'm afraid of the water'

Puffin was surprised. As he learned from childhood, all puffin birds had to learn to swim.

'Can you swim?' he asked.

'No I can't!' Pearl answered him, trying not show her shame.

'Listen, why don't we focus on our plan?' Odette cut in. 'We have the map! Now let's find Derek's kingdom'

'Alright, princess' Puffin agreed. Then he turned to Pearl and said in a kind tone. 'We'll talk about this later, ok?'

'Uh..sure' Pearl said, timidly.

As Odette and the other studied the map, Pearl began to feel uncomfortable. Surely Puffin wasn't going to try and get her back into the water.

'Then again' Pearl thought. 'Maybe he's just the right puffin to help'
