1. When shooting a classroom scene, if one laughs, the whole class laughs, and they have to redo the entire scene. The one with the most retakes is the 6th platoon joining Jenock scene.
Take 1
"Glad to have you." Haruki extended his hand to Muraku. "It's reassuring to know that a strong platoon is joining our side. Welcome." He smiled.
Mikhail and Vanessa blinked in surprise and were unsure of what to do but Muraku stepped forward, pulling off his glove and shook Haruki's hand. "Of course, we are happy to be here."
Haruki's smile faded slightly upon contact with Muraku's hand. There was something in Muraku's hand that was soft and squishy. When he let go, a toy frog flew out of Muraku's palms and landed on Haruki's head.
Haruki cried out in alarm and stumbled back. Instantaneously, Muraku burst into giggles with Vanessa, Mikhail and Kageto soon following his example. The giggling then expanded into laughter and soon enough, it spread over to the entire class, including Haruki. Even Mito-sensei was struggling to keep in character though there was no point in doing so.
"Cut! Muraku, what did we say about pranking the cast when filming!?"
Take 9
"Glad to have you..." Haruki trailed off when he heard someone giggle at the back, no doubt amused by his caution when shaking Muraku's hand after the prank. His lips wobbled but he quickly straightened it out. "It's reassuring…"
Oh no, there was another giggle that was slowly spreading to everyone in the class. He quickly finished the rest of his line before he could ruin it by giggling along with them. Unfortunately, Muraku was already giggling as well as he pulled off his gloves and shook Haruki's hand.
"Of course, we are happy…"
Of course, the scene was interrupted once again when Mikhail of all people started laughing. Haruki could not take it anymore. His free hand flew to his mouth to stifle his laughter.
"Cut!" The director called out tiredly, resigning to the fact that they may have to take this scene more times than what they usually need to.
Take 20
They were going to make it to the end of the scene without any interruptions this time. Haruki told himself determinately. After the prank on the first take, Muraku did not pull anything else which made Haruki less tense about the handshake part. Unfortunately, like every other class scene, someone will find something funny and will fail to hold their laughter until the end of the take which will trigger a figurative plague of the laughter quickly spreading to the other casts. It was a wonder the director hasn't blown up at them yet for so many retakes on every class scene.
"Action!"
"Glad to have your hand…" Haruki wanted to smack himself for messing up his lines. Muraku doubled over and clutched his stomach as his laughed
"Cut!"
Take 38
"Glad to have you." Haruki extended his hand to Muraku. "It's reassuring to know that a strong platoon is joining our side. Welcome." He smiled.
Mikhail and Vanessa blinked in surprise and were unsure of what to do but Muraku stepped forward, pulling off his glove and shook Haruki's hand. "Of course, we are happy to be here."
Per the script, Mia made a move to snort at Muraku's words but a glare from Arata stopped that.
"Cut!" The director quickly called before anyone can start laughing. "We are finally done with this scene!"
Everyone, from the crew to the casts, sighed in relief.
"38 has to be a record of the number of takes we had to do for a class scene." Arata rubbed his shoulders, commenting to Hikaru who nodded.
"I remember that our last longest take was 25 for the LBX distribution scene."
"Dang, how is it possible that we manage to mess up on every single class scene?" Arata scratched his head.
