Holy crap! It's been a long time since I was back on . I really heavily apologize to those who were awaiting to see more chapters of The Bake Off. Let's just say that a lot of stuff happened in the course of the year I was gone and stuff. Also my second year of college was pretty tough, seeing how I had to write so many papers. Never again! _

Yeah, a lot of stuff happened, both good and bad. A good thing was that I managed to go to Coachella this year with a bunch of friends. Bad thing was I got really depressed and lost a lot of motivation. It was hard getting back on track but I'm glad I can finally think clearly again!

So yeah, like I've promised, the delayed Chapter 2 of The Bake Off!

Chapter 2: Do You Really Have What it Takes to Cook?

Oh boy, Samus didn't realize what she has gotten herself into. The blonde was always known for never backing down a challenge, even if it means losing. Out of the other two female Smashers, she didn't have any clue how to bake or cook. The blonde needed to learn now and fast, especially before the big day. Heading into her room, she began to watching baking shows from Sumia in the Kitchen to even one from Chef Kawasaki. Taking notes, she really did try her best to focus, however, the bounty hunter happened to find it so boring.

As she tried her best to stay awake and focus, the hallway near her began to grow louder and louder. Wanting to check the commotion of what was going on, Samus opened the door and took a look at the scene.

Pit appeared to be flying around, running into walls and breaking things. The other Smash children ran after him.

"Piiiiit! Come back!" yelled Ness. He would be followed by Lucas, Popo and Nana. Eventually Toon Link was about to catch up until Samus stopped him.

"What the hell is going on?!" she asked, quite annoyed yet relieved that she was being distracted.

"Well, you see… Pit happened to drink coffee and it made him… buzzed, yes buzzed that's it!" he replied.

"I see…" Samus nodded slowly, not even sure to buy his story or not but let the kid go afterwards. She eventually moaned, seeing how the only way to practice was to use a cookbook.

Leaving her room, the blonde looked both ways as she slowly made her way towards the kitchen. It was quite embarrassing as she didn't want anyone else to know or to deal with the villains'' sexist comments. As she finally made her way into the kitchen, she quickly shut the door and sighed of relief. However, there was just no peace for Samus Aran.

"Hey Samus, what are you doing here?"

Turning to see who even asked, the bounty hunter noticed an indigo-haired mercenary helping himself to a sandwich.

"Oh hi Ike, what even brings you here?!"

"I was just getting a little sandwich. Gotta get some energy before I spar with Link, Marth and Roy for fun. You know, to see who's the best swordsman."

Narrowing her brows a bit, she nodded. "Yeeah, you go do that."

The mercenary made a face, knowing that she was just teasing him. They always have since the beginning of the first Brawl tournament session. Suddenly, Samus got an idea!

"Hey Ike?"

"Yeah?"

"This might sound embarrassing but... would you like to maybe test taste some things I might be…. Eugh, how do I say it, baking?" She cringed from that word. It hurt her to be embarrassed about something, but she knew she couldn't let Zelda win or even Peach have her ego strung high.

"Baking?" Ike looked a bit puzzled, but didn't laugh. "Waaait, don't tell me you're going to enter that baking contest that's coming up in a few days. That doesn't sound like you at all."

Sighing, she replied "I know, but I have to beat Peach and Zelda. I want to show them not only can I kick ass, but I can also bake as well!"

"Are you really sure you want to go through with this? I mean, can you even cook?"

Of course Ike didn't mean to offend her, but Samus didn't know whether to be angry or disappointed. Deciding it was better to shrug it off, she just sighed.

"No, I don't know how to cook or even bake, but how hard could it be right? I mean all the thing you do is follow some stupid book, am I right?" she said, chuckling slowly.

"I… guess." Ike replied, shrugging.

Realizing that Ike himself was a distraction, she told him that she would call him when she was finished with the product. Grabbing a cookbook, she began to browse through the pages, until she came across a simple recipe.

"Aha! This doesn't look so hard, I mean its chocolate chip cookies for crying out loud!"

Samus would begin to get out the ingredients and measure them. Little did she know that this process was a lot messier than it seemed. Oh how she hated the other two girls for making it look so easy! As the blonde proceeded to turn the kitchen into a mess, she managed to finish the dough. Placing what she assumed were dough balls in the oven, she would wait until they were done. After they finished, she took them out and waited them to cool down a bit before calling Ike.

The blue haired mercenary quickly came over as he heard his name. Looking at the cookie, it looked more like a burnt rock than anything else. In fact, it looked like if the baked good was crying for help as it suffered. Being a bit hesitant, the boy took a bit, just to quickly spit it out.

"AUGH! THIS IS REALLY AWFUL!"

He would quickly run to the sink to rinse his mouth with soap. "Even soap tastes better than those things that you call cookies! I mean, what did you even put in them?!"

Frowning, Samus would roll her eyes. "I did everything the damn recipe told me to do! Wait a minute…." Looking over, she realized her mistake. She accidentally put an overabundant of salt and baking soda into the mix and barely enough butter.

"Whoops… sorry about that."

It appeared she had a lot to learn. Looks like Peach and Zelda least have each other as competition. Knowing the other two, Samus needed to really shape up by the end of this week or else she'll be history.

That's the end of chapter 2. I swear I will try my best not to disappear and get this finished along with The Moon and the Stars. Seeing how I had a poll for another story idea, I'm deciding to hold back on that one.

For those wondering about the rewrite of The Rise and Fall, I've finally got an idea for it. In fact, I already have Chapter 1 planned out. I felt that awaiting new information for the new Smash Brothers game would have good so I can at least get them in to.

Anyways, two questions. Don't have to answer if you don't want to.

1. Have you ever met someone who couldn't cook/bake? Have they made you ever test-taste something like Samus did Ike? What was your experience if so.

2. Should the other Smash kids try coffee like Pit did?

Anyways, I'm out! I will try to manage my time better I promise!
