Three days later…..
"Bye Dad!" Kaien yelled, his black hair sticking out as usual. He had a baby-blue t-shirt with a yellow collar and blue shorts.
"Yeah, see ya'" Ichigo replied as his son closed the door and ran off into the direction of school, only to meet up with his best friends and neighbors.
~~At school~~
"Psst, Kai, can I go to your house today? Suiho's going to a friend's house and Dad and Mom are going to Tatsuki-oba-chan's place and won't be back 'till midnight." Souken asked, Kaien nodding.
"Sure! I'll call Dad and ask if you can after school!" Kaien replied as Souken thanked him and turned back to the front of the class.
"Mr. Kurosaki? Mr. Ishida? Would you two go to the office and get the festival fliers for me?" The teacher asked as the two boys nodded and jumped out of their seats, opening the door loudly.
"'Scuse me! DO you have more festival fliers?" Kaien shouted as the lady handed a pile of pink papers to the boy.
"C'mon Kai!" Souken yelled as he ran through the halls. As they got to class, they saw a short, white-haired boy walk through the hall. He wore a black t-shirt and blue jeans. "You lost?" Kaien asked, as the boy nodded hurriedly.
"I'm Hitsugaya Kazuki, can I find class 3 here?" The boy asked.
"Sure. Just follow us. We're in the same class anyway." Souken explained as the boy nodded his thanks.
"Kaien-kun, Souken-kun, thank you. This boy is a new student." The teacher pleasently said as Kaien nodded.
"Oh, forgot to introduce myself! I'm Kurosaki Kaien, nice to meet you! This is Ishida Souken." Kaien said cheerfully.
"Hai..." Kazuki said, as the boys grinned.
"You wanna come over today? Souken and I are going to play kickball with our friends." Kaien asked as Kazuki nodded thankfully.
"Yes please. I would love to come." He said softly as Kaien grinned.
"Yes! You're going to be on my team! Hope you have a good kick!" He said, as Souken nodded.
Soon, the three boys had become good friends. After school, the boys went to Kaien's house where…
"Dad! I'm home!" Kaien shouted, rapping on the door three times.
"Yeah?" The door opened to reveal Ichigo, with a black t-shirt and blue jeans on.
"Dad! This is Kazuki!" Kaien said, as Ichigo widened his eyes.
"Kaien, can I talk to your friend or a second? It'll only take a minute." Ichigo asked, as Kaien nodded.
"Okay, I'll be in the yard!" He walked out of the room, as Ichigo frowned.
"You're from the Soul Society, right? What do they want with Kaien?" He asked, as Kazuki frowned.
"I'm not sure Mr. Kurosaki. You do know Hitsugaya Toshiro, right? He's my brother. He sent me to find you and bring you back to the Soul Society." Kazuki replied.
"Well, you can stop that. I'm not going back there, and neither is my son." Ichigo said, as Kazuki smiled.
"Kaien seems very adventurous, wouldn't you agree? I wonder what you would do it his friend led him to a mystical place?" Kazuki smiled, as Ichigo growled.
"You wouldn't…" He said, as Kazuki frowned.
"I won't. Some others might, but I wouldn't. You allow your child to befriend a hybrid between a Quincy and a human, but you don't allow your child to befriend Shinigami?" He asked, as Ichigo growled.
"That's different." He said, as Kazuki smiled.
"Well, goodbye. I've come, breaking the rules of the Soul Society while I'm at it. I might as well help train your son to protect himself against hollows. Haven't you noticed that his spiritual pressure has slowly begun to increase?" Kazuki asked, before stepping out into the yard, where Kaien and Souken was.
"Come to think of it, Kaien's spiritual pressure has been going up slightly. I wonder why?" Ichigo pondered, before shrugging.
"Oh well."
