Shadekit's POV
Shadekit sat in the corner of the nursery, her icy blue gaze focused on a ball of moss. The dark gray she-kit unsheathed her claws and got into a hunting crouch. 'This mouse is mine!' She thought. Right before she leaped at it, a large tabby tom squeezed into the den. "Shadekit?" The tiny kitten squeaked in surprise and fell on her side. She got up and shook out her fur then gave herself a few embarrassed licks. Shadekit padded over to him, her tiny paw steps soundless on the stone floor of the nursery. "Tigerstone?" She set her icy gaze on her father and looked him over slowly. "Where's Blazekit?" Shadekit narrowed her eyes. "Don't tell me you favorite him too…" Her gaze turned into a full out coldblooded stare as he hesitated to answer. "Of course not!" Tigerstone paused a moment before continuing. "Shadowspirit doesn't like you? What is there not to love?" His paws shifted uncomfortably on the stone beneath him. "I don't know, why don't you ask her?" She snapped. 'No one understands, I just don't get it! He should've noticed that Shadowspirit never glances at me, let alone likes me!' She bared her teeth as her father walked away. 'Why does he even bother me if he doesn't say goodbye.' She growled to herself as she padded back to her corner and prepared to leap at the moss ball once more. She leaped at it and shredded it in her claws. She sat back and looked at the shredded moss proudly. Her ears pricked as she heard her denmates outside the den. 'Maybe Stormykit will play with me. He's the only kit that plays with me.' She trotted outside and saw him sitting by himself, as usual, watching his siblings and denmates play. "Hi!" The gray tomkit jumped at her voice behind him. "Jeez Shadekit! You nearly frightened me out of my fur!" She smirked. 'Good.'
