A/N: Sorry this one is short, I was stuck on what to do for this next chapter and was quite depressed. So I do apologize. But please enjoy!

CH 2 - Now What?

Mei then came into the room to see what was going on. She yelped when she saw the four girls. "Girls? In Oniichan's room…?" She thought out loud to herself. She then looked down to the ground her older brother. She ran over and tried to tap his face.

He sat straight up, bumping heads with Mei. She screamed, "Ow!" while he just winced and rubbed his forehead. "Mei? I told you to stay in the room." He sighed, standing up then picking her up, kissing the spot where she was rubbing her head, making her feel better.

He set her back down and looked at the four girls. "I still can't help but wonder how in the world you're real…" He muttered.

"What do you mean by 'real'?" Natsuki asked.

"Well… You're characters from a video game, in my universe. You're not real people… But here you are…" He muttered.

"Maybe it was magic?" Yuri suggested.

"Who knows… Well, personally I'm too tired to really worried about this, so I'll set you guys up some yoga mats in the guest room and you can sleep there." Kosuke told the girls.

The four looked at him oddly. "Yoga mats?! What about beds?"

"This is a tiny apartment… We really don't have beds anywhere except the 3 main bedrooms: the master bedroom, and me and Mei's room." Kosuke explained. "I'm really sorry, I am. But it's late and I need to get Mei back to bed because she has school in the morning, and so do I."

"Alright. Thank you for accepting us into your home, Senpai." Yuri said, then bowed in respect. The other girls followed suit.

"Oh, u-uh," He tried to hide his blushing, "Please, call me Kosuke."

"Koko, I'm tired…" Mei yawned, rubbing her eyes and looking up at him.

Natsuki fought the urge to laugh at the nickname. Monika simply stood there, watching as Kosuke picked up his little sister and took her to bed, letting the girls know he'd be back in a second. She didn't have her hacking abilities in this world. She wasn't going to be able to drive the other girls to madness, eventually dying. But she wasn't sure she wanted to do that in this world. She now had the freedom to do whatever… She was away from her situation at home, which was a plus. But what was she going to do in this world…?

Kosuke came back, sighing. "You guys can sit in the living room while I set up the mats. I'll see if I can find some mattress pads or the futon but for now just wait in the living room, please." He told the girls, then went off to set up the guest room for the four girls.

Sayori was her fingers over her body. "Is this really happening…?" She thought out loud.

"Yes. It is." Yuri confirmed. She took out her knife but it disappeared, turning into computer static. She frowned. "That was odd."

Sayori took out the noose, but the same thing happened to her noose that happened to Yuri's knife. Natsuki took out some manga but it disappeared.

"It appears items that don't actually exist in the world disappear," Yuri said. "Odd."

Monika took out her pen but it didn't disappear. The girls all stared at her. "Your pen must exist in this world," Yuri observed.

"No fair! Why can she have her pen and I can't have manga!" Natsuki pouted, crossing her arms in anger. "Stupid."

"Maybe her pen is magical?" Sayori suggested.

"Let's not worry about it right now," Monika suggested, putting away the pen. "Let's just get some sleep, I guess. We can figure out all of this in the morning." She finished.

Kosuke then came back in the room. "I apologize, I was only able to find 1 futon and 3 mattress pads. You girls are welcome to use the restroom across the hall, my room is just next door to the guest room. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

"Do you have any manga?" Natsuki asked.

Sayori hit Natsuki's shoulder. "Natsuki! That's rude!"

"I do, actually," Kosuke said. He went into the closet in his game room and picked out some manga he thought that Natsuki would enjoy, then handed them to her. "Here's a few, but there's plenty more where that came from. You're welcome to just come and take them, as long as you put them back."

Natsuki's eyes lit up. "Th-thank you." She said.

Thunder rumbled and Kosuke lead the girls to the guest room. Yuri ended up taking the futon since she had vivid nightmares and kicks people in her sleep. After Kosuke left the room, and the other girls were asleep, Monika took out her pen and looked at it. A present from someone very special to her. She sighed. What did this all mean? Why was this happening and how did it happen? Thousands upon thousands of questions were swimming in her head.

Yuri then turned to Monika. It appeared she was just as awake as Monika. "Hey Mon… How are we supposed to get back home?" She asked.

"I'm not too sure… But for now, let's not worry about it. Okay?" Monika smiled. "Let's just get some sleep."

Yuri turned back away and then closed her eyes, falling asleep. Monika set her pen beside her and closed her eyes, forcing herself to sleep, thinking about what this means for her and the others.
