Good no Chris for the moment. Anyways readers not much to say at the moment. Just that this chapter and maybe the next will be little snippets that take place between the last chapter and when they get summoned to Halkeginia. Because honestly there really isn't much going on through the years but some highlights. The snippets here will be in chronological order. Enough yammering on with the story.

Ch 2
"One thing I'm glad about is the lack of that implant thing that all of the characters in the game are given. I think that would be, I don't know, because I was summoned into another dimension that the experiment that became the game was based on?" Chris mumbled to himself one day during the interim before Louise showed up. "Sure this makes it so that game menu's are inaccessible but who cares. I for one don't feel like being completely limited by system limitations since I'm physically here. The inventory would be nice at times though." Chris stated as he looked towards the audience. "But some of the game mechanics still seem to hold true to the original."

Louise awoke from another restless night about a month after she had arrived. She blearily walked around the room that had been designated hers putting on her clothes to begin the day. Partway through she realized that her shirt was starting to feel a little tight around the chest. Somewhat more awake now she looked down and gasped.
Chris was in the kitchen humming to himself while he was cooking breakfast having awoken earlier to feed the dinos and other animals he had tamed. "Good Morning Louise." He said with his back to her as he heard her door open. He was caught by surprise when he felt her hug him from behind. "Well what brought this on?" He asked turning around when she released him noticing her state of dress. "You know Louise you're aren't ready for the day if your wandering around in a shirt and your undies."
Louise looked up at him with a smile on her face and her eyes wet with unshed tears. "I've started growing again I'll no longer look like a boy.
"Well yeah, Your magic is locked away at the moment so the void isn't restricting your growth." Chris answered as a statement of fact before Louise jumped at him in happiness laying a kiss on the lips as she wrapped her arms behind his neck for support. She didn't notice because her eyes were closed Chris being wide eyed in surprise saw a flash of light at the point of contact between them followed by the feeling of something appearing on his right hand. Bringing it up he observed that it was a gold band on his ring finger. When Louise broke the kiss Chris gave her a cheeky grin before stating. "And with that our contract is sealed Mrs. Robertson." Earning a confused look from Louise till she noticed a simple gold band with a flawless 5 carat ruby set in it on her right ring finger. While Louise was puzzling this out Chris felt a burning pain on a certain appendage prompting his grin to become almost feral.

"Chris how could you leave me to tame this beast by myself?!" Louise called in consternation when her husband just up and left her to face the T-Rex by herself. It had been almost a year since she had appeared in this world that her husband called a game.
"This is supposed to be Your dinosaur, I can't help you at all!" Chris shouted back. "Besides, you're the greatest void mage since Brimr, taming a dino should be child's play!"
"Chris I'm going to kill you when I get ahold of you!" Louise called as she dodged the attacking dino.
"Don't worry, George will be sure to stop him if it looks like Rexy might accidentally eat you!" Chris shouted reassuringly as he patted the ma-deuce mounted on George's armor.
"That doesn't mean you can't give me some advice!" Louise called as she knocked out the T-Rex.
"Good going! Just make sure he doesn't eat you when he wakes up!" Chris shouted sarcastically.
"Oh sure, great advice." Louise mumbled as she rummaged through the pack she had with her pulling out cuts of raw meat. She had gotten taller over her 11 months in this world reaching a respectable 5' 6" and filling out. Making it easier for her to do stuff that required physical effort.
"Just FYI, you're definitely looking tastier than that steak!" Chris shouted over.
"Keep saying stuff like that and I may have to jump you!" Louise called with a smile as the T-Rex started to stir.
"We'll have to put that on hold! Rexy's starting to wake up!" Chris shouted.
"I see that you moron!" Louise called sarcastically as she fed the groggy T-Rex.
"Just makin' sure, I'd hate to have to suffer in this game all by myself!" Chris shouted.
"Oh who's a good boy?" Louise asked the T-Rex like she was talking to an excitable dog some time later as it pushed it's head into her for more attention. "Yes you are a good boy. Yes you are." Louise said as the T-Rex started wagging its tail.
"Try throwing a bone! I want to see what happens!" He shouted.
"Hey Rexy you want this?" Louise asked as she waved the bone Chris had put in her pack earlier the T-Rex followed it with his head as Louise threw it as hard as she could.
"Well, I guess that proves it. Rexy's are just giant puppies." Chris observed. "Though why is Josephine never that playful?" George groaned as he shifted his body. "Oh yeah buddy that must be it." Chris answered somberly.
OOooOO
"Chris as soon as I can move again I'm going to kill you!" Louise called out as another contraction hit causing her to scream in pain.
"Come on push Louise just a little more. I can see the head. And I'll have you know, you were begging for more when we made these two. Besides you wanted children these are the consequences." The somewhat frazzled Chris said as he kept an eye on their newborn son while delivering the twin that would be his first daughter.
OOooOO
"Geez, I told you Louise that you needed to be careful especially when I'm out collecting supplies."
"Yeah? Well that Raptor needed to be tamed." Louise said laughing nervously before wincing as Chris wrapped bandages around her head.
"It could have been worse. Fortunately your worst injury was losing your left eye."
"My right eye was the dominant one anyways." Louise answered shrugging.
"That may be, but now you won't have any depth perception." Chris stated sighing. "What am I going to do with you?"
"Yell at me, apologize, followed by a round of, as you call it, the horizontal tango." Louise answered with a cheeky grin as Chris put the finishing touches on his bandaging job.
"Yeah well two of those are out of the way and I'll add I told you so." Chris added playfully glad that Louise was mostly ok.
OOooOO
"So now we'll be teaching you how to shoot." Chris said pulling out a rifle one day.
"But I thought I knew how to shoot?" Louise asked curiously after she had been deemed healed enough to resume activities outside of the compound. Her pension for never giving up even when everyone else was against you shining through, that and she had somebody who was as the saying goes 'in her corner'.
"Yeah, well now that you've lost your left eye, you're pretty useless at judging distance." Chris said bluntly. "That and sniping requires a slightly different skill set than semi-autos or pistols."
"Hmph." Louise began pouting. "You just don't want me to be close to the action."
"Drat, she found me out." Chris said snapping his fingers. "But it's more fun to eliminate your opponent long before they even realize you're there."
"Yeah, yeah." Louise said still pouting as she crossed her arms under her breasts. "You've said it before. You like your friends and enemies to never want to anger you because they'll never see you coming."
"The most dangerous enemy is the one you never see coming." Chris said sagely correcting her.
"You're aren't helping." Louise said glaring at him. "Besides I'm good enough with a pistol and carbine."
"Guess we'll have to test that right?" Chris said challengingly.
Louise whipped out the 1911 that she had on her hip at all times and emptied the clip into the targets they had set up at the other end of the courtyard.
"You already know the distance here, that's hardly a challenge." Chris said before cringing, "Uugh, though I'd hate to be that guy." He commented observing the one she'd hit in the crotch.
"Oops, you might be right." Louise said laughing embarrassed. "I wasn't aiming there."
"Of course you didn't, and that's why you need to practice." Chris said enthusiastically before emptying his six-gun into the targets, leaving no mark on the targets. "Huh." He said cocking an eyebrow looking at his pistol. "Looks like I need practice as well."
Louise gave him a puzzled look before walking up to the targets and examined them. "Liar you intentionally stacked your shots."
"Did I? I'm shocked you'd think so." Chris said in mock surprise.
"Now I know you're pulling my leg." Louise said pouting. "That and you favor a rifle."
"Just because I don't have a use for a pistol doesn't mean I don't know how to use one." Chris said matter-of-factly.
"Rub it in why don'tcha." Louise said pouting again. "You've been using a firearm since you could hold one. I've only used one for less than three years."
"Soldiers only get training for a minimum of eight weeks before being thrown into combat. And they're expected to survive. You're actually at an advantage." Chris said contemplatively.
"How so?" Louise asked.
He looked at her brightly. "Because you have me of course!"
"You have got to be kidding me." Louise said sagging exaggeratively.
"Now don't be like that. You know you love me." He said cheerfully.
"Yes I do, you big oaf." Louise said walking up to her husband lightly slugging him in the shoulder.
"And I think I hear Natsu crying for Mama." Chris said cocking his head.
"Way to ruin the moment Natsu." Louise mumbled as she stalked to the living quarters.
"Guess I'll go adjust the target range then." Chris said to himself as he left the compound.

"After the team of hunters tracked the Wyvern to its nest they found it was already asleep, sharing a glance they stealthily set large barrel bombs. While the other three ran to safety Luna set down a small bomb, lit the fuse, and ran like the devil was on her heels. When the bombs went off with a giant explosion." Here Chris threw his arms out for emphasis. "The Wyvern gave a startled cry before it died."
"Dad how dat poshible?" Three year old Lucy asked as she and her twin sat listening with rapt attention.
"Well, what happened was the monster was almost dead when it ran away, so the explosion killed it, which is why we tell you to be careful around our bombs. Because your mother and I would be very sad if you accidentally died doing what you're not supposed to." Chris explained.
"We woan dad." Natsu with a solemn look on his face.
"Did you story happen?" Lucy after agreeing with her brother.
"Kinda. You see, it was a game me and my siblings played together." Chris said.
Louise was listening while taking care of the youngest twins Hermione, and Jean Claude. "You said something like that a year or two ago I don't quite remember how you put it."
"Yeah, it was a game called Monster Hunter. However now I'm living a Monster Hunter's dream. Not only do I kill monsters I also get to tame them." Chris said his eyes flashing with mirth.
"Yeah that was it." Louise said trading infants as Jean was done feeding while Hermione was fussing for attention.
"Well whatever works." Chris said watching the elder twins who were now fast asleep.
OOooOO
Louise was watching the light refract through the water as she swam through it looking for materials. Looking up she calmly noted the Megalodon swimming overhead. She signaled the person riding on it's back.
Chris signaled back.
Louise nodded as she turned to swim deeper when she heard a torrent of bubble behind her causing her head to snap back to Chris.
Chris was frantically waving, when he saw her looking he gestured up.
She looked up and her eyes widened as she frantically trying to get out of the way of the untamed megalodon because she didn't have anything to tame it with.
Chris directed his megalodon towards the wild creature. The wild megalodon, noticing the size difference, swam away.
Louise swam for a few minutes and entered the structure they had erected underwater for that purpose. She took a calming breath as she took her mask off.
"Why didn't you swim back?" Chris asked as he took his mask.
"Sorry needed to get out of the water to calm down." Louise said as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"That wouldn't have happened if you didn't ignore my signal." Chris said reprimanding her as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Signal what signal?" She asked straightening giving Chris a quizzical look.
"You know, the hand signals that I'm pretty sure I had you going over before we went down." Chris said.
"I didn't see any hand signals just a nod." Louise added.
"Really? I thought the gestures were big enough. I guess Henrietta was in the way." Chris said.
"And I'm still mad at you for naming her that." Louise said glaring at him.
"Huh? I thought it fit." Chris said cocking an eyebrow. "After all she couldn't have survived among the sharks known as politicians without being a bigger one, and you don't get any bigger than a megalodon."
"I hate you right now." Louise mumbled as she buried her face in his shoulder.
"Of course, now I'm pretty sure Nessie is getting lonely out there without you. Plus we need to hurry up so we can relieve Freya of the kids." Chris said patting her head.
"You are seriously trying my patience here Chris." Louise said releasing him prepping to go back out. "How you got Nessie out of Annette I'll never know."
"To be fair, your T's do sound like S's at times, so I was confused over calling her Annesse. That and Nessie is a perfect nickname for her." Chris said.
Louise sent a glare at him before stepping into the water disappearing through the floor.
"Yep, she totally hates me now." Chris said looking at the audience before diving after her.
OOooOO
"Freya, get Otis." Chris told the Dire wolf.
"You seriously named an Ovis, Otis?" Louise deadpanned never really having anything to do with the Ovis Chris started in the last couple months.
"They're Ovis/Sheep. As such the ram will naturally be named Otis." Chris said matter-of-factly.
"You really need to be careful when you go off on your own." Louise said as she placed a hand on her swollen stomach.
"I am. Besides which I have Chomper." Chris said reassuringly.
"Your total lack of naming sense never ceases to amaze me." Louise sighed. "I still have no idea why you would call a Giga that."
"It's based off a dinosaur from an old movie series." Chris said sheepishly taking the Ovis from Freya.
"Don't know, don't care." Louise said shrugging. "Now to turn these fleeces into clothing."
"Yep." Chris said popping the p.
"I ought to beat you over the head for that." Louise growled out as slowly gathered the shorn fleeces.
"Yep." Chris repeated.
"Are you even listening to me?" Louise asked giving him a sidelong look.
"Yep." Chris repeated as he finished with the Ovis.
Sighing Louise walked over and smacked Chris upside the head.
"I'm sure I deserved that." Chris said.
"You didn't listen to anything I said did you?" Louise asked with her hooded eye.
"I did." Chris assured her.
"Ok what did I say?" Louise asked.
"That you really don't care about my past life, that you were going to take care of turning the fleece into clothes, and there might have been something about whacking me in there to." Chris said.
"Ok you were listening." Louise mumbled as walked into the textile room with her arms full.
"And that's called observing, fellas." Chris said to the audience as he went to put the ovis into their normal pen.
OOooOO
"So where are we going Chris that we need the Children with us?" Louise asked as she finished putting Rexy in his armor.
"There's a new region that I figured we could explore." Chris said as he outfitted George with his armor and an anti-material machine gun.
"And that is why we're outfitting our mounts with our most powerful weapons." Louise added.
"It's nice to see you're catching on." Chris said cheerfully.
"Are we bringing any other animals with us?" Louise asked looking towards the animal pens.
"Nah. It's better to have only as much as necessary, though I guess Freya ought to come." Chris said thoughtfully. "Heaven knows she'd get lonely without her pups."
"She only considers our children her pups because of you." Louise said sighing.
"Well, it certainly worked. At least we don't have to worry about anything happening to our children with her around. Though I don't think that was in the original game mechanics. Maybe it's your void magic at work, making some creatures more lifelike." Chris said thoughtfully. "All well, who cares." He added before getting Freya, who was sulking in her pen. Freya, seeing him open the door, whacked her tail once.
"Come on, Freya." Chris called. Freya shot up and bounded toward him. "All right, calm down. Let's go." Freya leapt out passed him, taking up her spot beside George.
"So Natsu being a pyromaniac makes you not want to be around him?" Louise asked the large wolf.
Freya gave her a look that said 'Are seriously asking me that?' like it was obvious.
"He obviously got that from you." Chris stated.
"Just because my spells always blew up doesn't mean anything." Louise said defensively.
"That's just cause you were trying to practice other spells instead of your explosion spell." Chris said cheerfully. "Maybe we ought to see if Natsu is a void mage as well."
"I can't use magic in this reality remember." Louise said with a growl.
"Eventually your family will find a spell to bring us back and then you can teach him." Chris said confidently.
Louise mounted Rexy shooting him a glare as she shouldered her rifle. As she settled into the saddle Chris followed suit. When they got ready to leave a green summoning circle opened up under the three animals. "Hey Chris I'll see you on the other side!" Louise yelled over as she realized what was happening.
"I'll be right behind you!" Chris yelled in reply with a grin as the green light enveloped them.
OOooOOooOO
All right, I finally get to revolutionize Halkeginia.
Chris you will not.
But that's what always happens. You can't say I can't revolutionize a little bit. At least introduce a civilian militia rather than that sorry excuse of cannon fodder they have now.
Well I guess you could.
Yes! And then while no one notices I'll subtly undermine the catholics.
Dang it. Give an inch and he'll take a mile.
Oh! I need to start writing my letter to Joseph! I hope he doesn't mind having some help!
Why oh why does he have to do that? 'Heavy sigh' Well I'm done please review on your way out I would love to know how you like it.
