So my one-shot has become a two-shot. There may be more to come still.
I think I'd like to try my hand at an EC fic sometime in the future.

They keep to themselves mostly, from the way they carry themselves you can tell they don't live in the same world we do, but there's something about the smaller of the two that attracts people.
He's loud, brash, honest to the point of abuse – he'll tell you what he thinks and isn't afraid of repercussions, he is also the Beautiful Tokito, and people really like him despite lacking social grace.
Kubota is the reason people usually keep away. He's tall, quiet, and has this strong presence of not being afraid to hurt you if you get in the way. This is all just on first glances. When people do decide to invade their world they find Kubota is pleasant, diplomatic, and is as smooth at bending the truth as he is at cheating you out of your money while gambling.
Together they're a force to be reckoned with.
While Tokito is the more abrasive of the two he never has a hard time finding friends wherever he goes, this worries the possessive streak in Kubota; He's killed to keep Tokito with him, and he would do it again, and more to keep on keeping him.
Kubota knows he doesn't own Tokito any more than he owns the sky, and as much as he needs Tokito he's certain that the boy will leave him one day, and he isn't quite sure if he could handle that. So he spoils Tokito, gives him his indulgences, and loves every moment of joy that shows on his face when he feels he has won, but Kubota will tell you that it's really himself that is the winner at getting to witness the myriad of emotion and life that is Tokito's existence.
Because if Tokito exists, then so must he.
