The Proverb of Fools
The book of Proverbs says,
Do not walk with fools,
Keep your paths from them,
For they are bent towards destruction.
But...
What if...
What if I am the fool?
Bent towards the destruction
Of mine own life?
Who would walk with me?
Not the wise,
Whose council I desperately need.
I am a fool who hates fools,
And honors the wise;
I am a fool myself...
So I hate myself.
When will I stop falling,
And no longer be a fool?
When will I stop doing that which I hate?
Sooner?
Later?
...never...?
I am a fool,
Bent towards the destruction,
Of mine own life.
