Silver and Gold
Episode 2
The Forbidden Love.
The Dragon's sing of one creature that rules above the rest, a Dragon so beautiful and terrifying that even the Dragon of Ra is at its command. They call it the Rainbow Star Dragon. She waits in her divine home for a child strong enough to embody her. One who is Pure of heart, and has the noblest of intentions.
In the Garden, the two children played around for a bit. Silver seemed more interested in drawing things in the sand. "Why do you draw?" Silver was silent. "Silver?" No response. "...Silver? Come on. I just was curious." Still no answer. "Are you unable to speak?" No reply. "...Silver?" "I draw because I don't have basket weaving materials here." It wasn't a complete lie. "Oh." He watched her. She was so cute. "Silver." he whispered. He liked the way it sounded. "Hmm?" She looked at him. "What?" "You said my name." "I was talking to myself." "Oh, I must've misheard you then." She continued to draw. He watched her intetnly. Even though he was a child, he knew he was in love. She scribbled in the sand. It was cool for summer. A gentle breeze blew, ruffling their hair anime style. He watched her as she drew intricate designs in the sand. "Wow." It was a dragon. Silver added details as well. It was a very pretty drawing, despite the fact it lacked color. Silver then turned and smiled at something behind her. "Look Rainbow. It's you." Atem turned to see a large ethereal dragon with multi-clolored scales, silver eyes, and a white septagram in the center of its forehead. His eyes widened. That was one powerful ka. Not even the Winged Dragon Of Ra could hold its own against it.
This dragon was massive, and yet it was elegant and very swift. "Is that...?" "The Rainbow Star Dragon. My ka." Silver said. "Wow." "I know. I never would've thought I was worthy of her." The young girl said proudly. "I would believe so." Atem said. "Really?" "Yeah. The Dragon could not have chosen a better vessle." Silver smiled cutely. "It's nice of you to say so." Silver said. She drew in the sand until her mother called. "I have to leave. Bye." She raced off, heading home with her mother. "Goodbye Silver." Atem whispered as she headed home. He hoped that she would visit again. "You enjoyed the visit?" Atem nodded, watching her leave. "Don't worry, you'll see her again soon." Atem was sient, as it hurt to watch her go. It felt lke she would never return. "Father...I think I'm in love with her." The man sighed. "You cannot have her son, she is a commoner." Atem nodded. "Yes father." He said sadly. But, as the years passed, the two grew closer together. He would even sneak out just to see her. He'd always managed to get home before he was cuaght. It was amazing how long he'd managed to get away with this. It felt good to see her.
But, the night came when he got caught. He was thenm forbidden to leave the palace for a long time. He sat in his room, curled up in a corner. Finally, he was allowed to go out, as long as he stayed away from Silver. He wouldn't. He raced to her house and gently tapped on the window. Silver opened it. "Atem? Do you have any idea how late it is? And I thought your father banned you from seeing me." "I couldn't stay away Silver. I had to see you again." Silver sighed. "Meet me in the feild tommorrow." He nodded and headed hme, not gettng caught. Then next morning, he met her. "Atem... I need to tell you something..." "Can't we just spend these precious few moments together?" "That's just it... I'm leaving, and I won't be returning." Silver said. "What do you mean leaving?" "Mother died, and I can't weave baskets. Without those Baskets, I'm broke. I'm so sorry." She turned to leave but he grabbed her arm. "Silver wait. Please. I love you." She shook her head. "It's forbidden." He pulled her close. "No. I can't lose you." "I'm sorry, there's nothing else I can do." He kissed her deeply, not wanting to let her go.
