I bet none o you were expecting this to return or me. Sorry about that. I've been supper busy with High school since I was graduating. But now I'm a graduate, waiting to go to Delta and I'm on summer vacation. Hopefully I won't get writers block. Also, if you're weirded out by the change in the summery, I'm sorry, but I just couldn't think of ways for Ash to be in the other world with this set up, plus the nightmares were artificial and couldn't really touch Ash's subconscious. But don't worry, this story will be fallowed up and really get to explore Ash's mind. I've decided to make this a more influential piece, which means the rating is going to be lowered. While some things are creepy, I don't feel like it warrants the M rating.
ch. 2
A large siren was heard across the land. After a few seconds, it stopped. Although, you could a large machine cranking in the background along with spinning fan blades. A large creature was on the ground, bereaving heavily. The area was grey with rust and blood everywhere. The walls had tubes imbedded in them and some of the panels were holes. The creature stirred and a soft war drum began to play. The creature got up and looked around. This place was familiar, but it was sure it hadn't seen this place before. It looked at itself. It was a large animal with a long snout, large green eyes, large bat wings on it's back, a long reptilian tail, large frontal teeth, large reptilian arms, large hide wolf legs, and a large, hairy, slim body. The creature looked around some more. Suddenly it saw a Polywag a few feet in front of it. "Poly?" It said in confusion. It looked curious. The bat like creature soon began to walk towards it on it's arms and legs. The Polywag soon ran towards a long corridor to the left of the current hallway. The bat monster runs after it. After some time, the creature couldn't find the water Pokémon. Suddenly it heard crying. The monster turned to the noise, which was behind a door. Then he walked towards it. The creature opens the door and sees a forest. The creature blinks at it. It wasn't expecting that. The forest was so different from the city like landscape that it surprised him. However, his shock was subversive since he could still hear the crying. The creature ran after it. After sometime, he goes pass a bush and sees Polywag running into the thing's arms. The bat creature soon holds the water Pokémon. It soon sees a small little girl with light-brown hair, blue eyes which were full of tears, a yellow dress, a yellow sunhat, and pink shoes. Her right knee was hurt. The creature tilted its head. The girl looks up and sees the creature. Oddly she was confused. "Wh-who are you?" She asked, she sounded very similar to Dawn/Serena. It puts the Pokémon down and pulls out a handkerchief. It walks over to the girl and ties the item over her knee. It soon whispers odd noises. "Huh?" She said. The creature gives her its hand. She hesitated but gives it to it. The creature pulls her up and hugs her. It soon let's go of her and goofily smiles. She smiles back, and the two soon walk into a white exit.
...
Ash woke up. But what he saw wasn't the real world. Instead of him looking at the under of the double back bed he and Brock were sharing, he saw the ceiling and a ceiling fan. He got up. He noticed he was wearing the white t-shirt, black pants and shoes, and white gloves with black lightning marks from his dream. He decided to check the design of the hat. It was like his other hat, red with a black stripe and a haft Pokeball in it. What was weird was the ball was green. He never had a piece of his regular clothing to be green. He put the hat back on and looked around. The room was the same design he saw when he entered the apartment from his dream from earlier. He gets off the bed and stretched. He soon yawned and covered his mouth with his hand. He looked around. Why was he here? What was going on? Why was he dreaming again? Didn't he just finish a dream? He sighed. Maybe Luc would soon appear and reveal something to explain this. He gets out of the room and looked around the apartment. A T.V was near to the wall he was near, the bathroom was to the left (from his point now), and the tables and stuff were in the same position. Ash was confused. Was he continuing the same dream from earlier? Why haven't he woken up already? He was so confused. What did all of the stuff from earlier even mean anyways? Why was he so afraid of night falling? He was in town, so he should be safe from night Pokémon. He soon heard his stomach rumbling. 'Great, now I'm hungry.' He thought as he began to walk to the fridge to see if there was food inside. Suddenly, he got a knock on the door. He goes to the door and opens it to see the Dawn look alike, Serena, again. She blushed when he opened the door, but smiled anyways. "Oh. Hey Ash, I came back to make small talk and to introduce you to the town." Serena said. Ash titled his head. "How did you know my name? I didn't give it to you," Ash asked. She smiled. "I learned it from Sam and he heard it from you." Serena said. Ash nodded. That sounded plausible. But then again, this was a dream, so anything could happen. Then his stomach growled loader. "Why don't we go to my favorite restaurant? We'll start the tour after that." Serena said. Ash nodded.
(Scene change.)
They had just arrived outside a restaurant when they continued talking about things. "This will surly make you feel better." She said. Then they went inside. After ordering their meals and retreading them, Ash and Serena sat down at a booth. Ash had a lot of food like usual while the Dawn look alike had a small meal. Thankfully, he and Serena split the bill. She soon asked, "How come you eat a lot?" Ash began to think once she asked that but came up with nothing. "I don't know why? I just do. When I see food I just more, I think it's like greed. I think it's genetic or something." Ash said. "Is your mom like this?" Serena asked. He shocked his head. "No. My mom is normal." Ash said. "What about your dad?" Serena asked. Ash began to think. After a long time he finally said. "I don't know. Mom always said that my father was a great man and that he went off to become a Pokémon master. But I have never met him. Mom said he left I was very young.," Ash said. "What about your childhood? How was that?" Serena asked. Ash stopped for a moment, suddenly his fork and spoon dropped to the plate. "I don't remember," Ash said. "How come?" Serena asked. "Before I began my journey, I was attacked by some monsters called Heartless. I was hurt very badly and was at first sent to Professor Oak's house then a Hospital in Vermillion City." Ash said. Serena gasped at this. "When I woke up, I could hardly remember anything except the events that led up to me being in the hospital, some séances of me going to a theater, and the fact that my mom always worried about me. I was able to recover some of my past memories before my Pokémon journey began, but I was kind of busy learning important things like how to behave around people that I didn't have enough time to remember more. After a few months, I got my first Pokémon, which was a Pikachu, and I've been on an adventure even since, so I haven't had a lot of time to really think about my past." Ash said. "Thankfully, over the years, I remember small things like how I got my rival, how my mom got our house, and other things. I've been always happy about that and never really questioned my past again. But that all changed when I did something I shouldn't have done. I began to have nightmares which revealed to me that I'm kind of unstable and I feel like I'm fighting against monster. And now... I feel like I hardly know myself anymore. I...I sometimes wonder what happened, why I'm suddenly feeling like this, and why I'm fighting this monster to begin with. I...I just don't know what to do." He soon held his head in his hands. She touches his shoulder. He looks at her. "Don't worry, that was the past. You're probably a whole new person and you'll overcome this monster," Serena said. Ash smiled. "Thanks." He said. She smiled. "No problem." She said. Ash sighed and began eating.
"So when did you get your Pikachu, was it during your 16th birthday or did you waited til you were older?" Serena asked. Ash was confused and chocked a bit. He wasn't really getting what she was saying. He swallows his food and took a sip of his drink. "What are you talking about? I got him when I was ten." Ash replied once his mouth wasn't full. Serena was shocked by this. "Really!? Wow. You must be pretty old if you were one of the people to have a Pokémon when they were 10 year olds, that stopped was about 25 years ago." Serena said. Ash was shocked. No mortified. "WHAT!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! DAWN AND MAY BOTH GOT THEIR LICANCE AT THE AGE OF TEN AFTER I GOT MINE. SO WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!" Ash yelled in rage. Serena was spooked by this. Meanwhile, the people nearby looked at them with confusion. "Calm down. You're making a scene." Serena said. Ash soon calmed down. "Sorry, it's just, I know I'm still around 14 or something. I shouldn't be in the 40's-ish for a long time." Ash said. "Yeah, you do look around the same age as me." Serena said. Ash looked at her. "How old are you?" Ash asked. "15." Serena said. Then an idea hit her. "Hey why don't you see if you have an id. That might clear up some things." She said. Ash nodded. He got out his wallet and saw 300 Ps, a small knife, and a driver's license. Ash was confused by one of the items. 'What's a knife doing in there? Maybe Pallet town had gotten dangerous since I last left... Nah... That doesn't make since mom would have told me if something like that would had happen. Now come to think of it. Pallet town was always a small town. How'd it get so big? There's nothing really important other than Professor Oak. So what the fuck?' Ash thought. The boy looked at his driver's license. "Ash Ketchum. Age; 18. Born; May 18, 1942." It said. Ash looked at the expiration date. "Hey Serena what day is today?" Ash asked. "June 2, 1966." She replied. Ash began to think. Then it came to him. "Wait... I'm 24!?" Ash screamed in shock. After a long, mostly disturbing to Ash, silence, Serena spoke up. "Well you do look young." She said. Ash put his head down in shame. "Aw man... I thought I would at least grow when I'm around this age. But I'm still short. I just hope I don't look ten." Ash said in defeat. "Wait you didn't know that? Have you even looked in a mirror?" Serena said. Ash looked up. "That's right. There might be hope for me." Ash said. After they finished their breakfast, they walked over to the lake. Ash smiled as the girl sat down on a bench and he walked to the edge of the small lake. He was hoping he looked very handsome and mature. However, when he reached the lake and looked into, what he saw didn't please him. In fact it angered him. He still looked ten-ish, although his hair was a lot longer and puffier than he expected. 'Damn it!' Ash thought. He closed his eyes and hits the ground.
'Why can't things go my way in these damn dreams!? Why do I still look like a kid!?' Ash growled in frustration. He looks at the Dawn look-a-like and sighed. 'No. I shouldn't be angry. I have a friend here, and I don't want to scare her away.' He thought. He soon sighed and got up. He walks over to Serena. "Sorry, Serena. But I still look like a kid." Ash sadly said. Serena frowned. "Really? I can't tell. You look like an adult to me. But...if you say so." She said. Ash sighed in annoyance. Things just weren't going his way. Suddenly he remember the old man who looked like Brock. He was very curious about the man and why he said the town was 'cursed'. From what he saw, the town was just a perfectly fine place with no monsters. In fact, there weren't any kind of monsters, even Pokémon. This really didn't sit well with the boy. He looked at her. "Hey Serena, I met a guy named Mr. Stev when I first came here. He talked about how this town was evil and that I should leave, but from what I've seen, everything is fine. Do you know what that was about?" Ash asked. She held her chin. "Well I read from an old comic that the town was possessed or something. Thankfully the comic I read from was completely garbage and had nothing to do with the town, so I ignored what it said. It was called Silent Hill Dying Inside," The Dawn look alike said. Ash chuckles. "I remember hearing about it from my friend Gary Oak. He said the comic was crap and that it's one of the worst comics he's ever read," Ash said. The Dawn look alike was shocked. "Wait Gary Oak? THE GARY OAK!?" Serena said. Ash was back off at this. "Yeah... what's the big deal?" Ash asked. She smiled. "He's the most famous Pokémon professor's ever. He's what turned small Pallet town into the metropolis it is. Sometimes I wish I could have seen the town when it was still small," Serena said with excitement. 'So that's why the town is so big.' Ash thought. Although he did note in his head that she was acting very similar to how Dawn reacted to hearing that he knew who Professor Oak was. "How old is Gary?" Ash quickly asked, although he was holding his arms. 'Something about this place just sets me off.' "Well he's 42. Thankfully technology has advanced a bit and now he can still look like he's in his 30's." Serena said. 'So I'm in a like futuristic world.' Ash thought. "It's a shame that a mass murder by the name of Dark has been on a killing spree there. Otherwise I would visit. But for now I still live in Silent Hill." Serena said. Ash suddenly felt something tugging at his heart. He closed his eyes to try and ignore it, but the pain became worse. He soon saw the wanted poster of himself. "You know, even though I wish I was in Pallet town, I've got to say that sometimes this place can be so beautiful. It feels almost unreal during those moments. However, I want to go to Pallet to try and shack that feeling off." Serena said. Suddenly Ash couldn't take it anymore.
"Serena. There's something I have to tell you. I just can't go without telling someone. But please, promise me to not tell another soul. I...I don't know what will happen if people find out." Ash said. Serena leans to him. "Okay. What is it?" She said. He looked down. "Serena, this may sound weird. But...you see, I'm the killer. I don't know why I did the things I did, but I do remember running away from the cops and seeing posters of myself as a wanted criminal. Those men were after me for what I had done. But...But I don't remember doing that to people. I'm not a killer and I didn't know what was going on. So I came to this place to hide and maybe find out what's going on. And after all of that, I met you. Please, if you know what's going on, please tell me." Ash confessed. Serena soon began laughing. This spooked Ash. "Man Ash, you are such a story teller. You as the murderer? Come on! I have seen the posters and they don't look anything like you. That was the mass murder Dark who was on the posters, not you. You're just a good boy. I bet you weren't really looking at them." Serena said. "But what about the police!? I heard them call out MY name. Why were they after me then?" Ash retorted. She smiled. "You must had done something to provoked them. I don't know, maybe Dark framed you for one of his murders." She said. Ash nodded. 'That does sound plausible. But is Serena right? Did I just misread them? Where the police really after me for a mistake?' He asked himself. But he didn't feel that was right. 'No. That's not right. If that's the case, then why were the police after me? What am I supposed to do? And where did I learn the word hell?' Ash thought. He soon shocked his head. He needed something to clear his head. Then an idea came to him. He smiled at Serena. "Hey, why don't we do that tour you promised me, now? You never got around to doing it." Ash said. Serena got up with shock. "I almost forgot. Thanks for reminding me." She said. Ash smiled. Suddenly his head began burning up like a thousand suns. He was visualizing a girl with short blue hair with matching eyes; she was wearing some weird clothes and boots. Oddly enough when the pain and vision subsided, Ash was now looking at Serena. "Is something wrong?" She asked. "Oh... nothing. Just a minor headache." Ash lied. Serena smiled. Ash smiled back, but still felt unsure about everything. But what was up with that vision? What was with that dream with that monster? Ash soon shocked it off; he had no need to be thinking about that. Ash looked at Serena. Ash smiled at this. "Okay. Let's go." Ash said. Serena jumped at this. They soon left.
They soon walked around the streets as Serena talked about the local people and how cheery they all were. She also talked about how the town was split between the house side of town and the business side of town. They soon walked up to a hospital and Ash stopped. "Is something the matter?" Serena asked. Ash closed his eyes and sees a woman and a man running from him. Ash was confused about this and the fact that he seemed to be wielding a large and kind of heavy spear. They were running in a hallway that was twisting and turning at every angle. Suddenly the man entered an elevator. He tried to stop it from closing for the woman but she could only get her arm through. Ash soon stabbed the woman in the chest and pulls her away from the elevator. Soon he heard the man scream in agony. "ASH! ASH!" A voice yelled. Ash snaps out of it and looks at Serena. "Ash, what was that all about? Why we're looking at the hospital?" Serena asked. Ash looked down. "I...I don't know. Something about it is familiar, but I've never been to this town before. Hell, I've never heard of this town before. So why is it familiar?" Ash asked, confused. She looked at him with concern. "It must have reminded you of that hospital you were in." She explained. He looked at her. "You sure?" He asked. She nodded. He sighed and then smiled. "Y-yeah, that must be it." He said. She smiled. However, he still felt uneasy about the place. Not to mention, he was confused by the vision that went along with it. Why did he do that to the woman? Why was he hunting them? He sighed. They soon began moving again. They cross the bridge and walked over to the more house populated area, which was where they came from. Serena talked more about how the place worked and about the schools. However, Ash wasn't too interested in that and kind of droned her out. The only thing he made note of was the port side of town which was only sensible through the swearers or a street they had passed. They soon stopped in front of an apartment building that was near the park. "Is something the matter?" Serena asked since Ash was the one to cause them to stop. "Y-yeah. I feel the same familiarity as with the hospital. But I've never lived in a hotel before." He said, very confused. "Maybe you actually visited the town before. You do have a bit of amnesia." Serena said. He sighed. "Maybe you're right. This whole place is familiar." He said. She smiled. He looked at the park. "You know, we kind of passed a place called the Silent hill historical society. How come you didn't talk about that?" He asked. She looked down. "Well, because I don't normally go there. I don't like the history of the town and am kind of scared of learning of what happened." She said. This confused Ash. "Why?" He asked. "Because back when the town was smaller, it was full of crazy cult people who believed in some kind of 'other god'. They did horrendous things in the name of their god, and it freaks me out. Besides, it not important. All of the cult people are gone now, and all that's remaining are the paintings and books they made." She said. Ash smiled. Yet, he knew there was something more to Silent hill, but his new friend wasn't gonna give any answers for those questions. Ash decided that they would stop by Mr. Stev.
"You know, I'm actually interested in this cult thing. Why don't we go over to Mr. Stev's house to see if he knows anything about it?" Ash said. Serena was shocked by this. "R-really? Wow, that's...bizarre. Most people never want to see him again after they first met him. I'm just glad Opal is keeping him in line." Serena said. Ash was surprised by this. "You know, Opal?" Ash asked. Serena nodded. "Yeah, she's my older sister. I also have a younger sister named Rose." Serena said. Ash was bewildered by this. "Wow, I didn't know that. But, enough talk, let's go." He said. She nodded. And they walk over to the large house on the end of Berlitz road. Nothing separated it from the other houses other than being bigger. This annoyed Ash for some reason. They stopped in front of Mr. Stev's house and Ash sighed. He was expecting something bigger and more elaborated that this. It just looked like a normal house. "Ya know, there's a rumor that if someone has done a very bad thing, this town will draw them here to exact some kind of purification spell. The town makes these fake people to make you get rid of your sins. If you keep to your sins, you die in this town, but if you let go and make peace, you will survive. There haven't many tourists because of this rumor. Most people take Mr. Stev's word and run away. I, however, didn't think it was real and so far nothing bad has happen to me because of it." Serena said. The young trainer looks at the girl. For a minute, he felt something inside him was wanting out. Something wanted to do something to her. Ash forces this strange something back inside him and looks back at the mansion. "So how do you know these rumors?" Ash asked. "I came to this house once to make sure the guy was as nutty as he sounded. And I was right. He kept talking about how the cult was still alive and that tried to bring their god into the world. And how they miserably brought down something called the 'Darkness.' I say it's a drug that people were on that caused the rumors. The plant or something must have been causing hallucinations. The only reason there were some signs of injures on people since they have been accidentally hurting themselves to convince themselves that what they saw was real. In fact, I heard that a flower from the lake have these properties." Serena analyzed.
Ash was pretty impressed on how she figured that out. Yet he knew she was wrong; however he didn't know why he knew it. Ash spoke up. "Well I should learn from the horse's mouth. I still have many questions about this cult." Ash said. Then he walked into the 'mansion'. After navigating through the halls, the young man reached a door. The boy knocked on the door, and a voice replied to let him in. Ash opened the door and walked in, finding the old man who looked like his friend Brock. The old millionaire had the same face, skin, voice, and eyes like the eldest of the boy's friends. The only difference was the elder had white hair, he wore a nice white suite and black shoes, and he looked a bit older with wrinkles. Around the guesser was voodoo like stuff. Ash soon sees a woman with voodoo stuff around her, and she was black. "Um... hello. I'm Ash. I met you earlier." Ash said. "Ah, you're that kid I met yesterday. How nice to see you again. Did you meet any monsters?" He asked. Ash sits down on a nearby chair, which was across from the old man, he was bit nervous. "Um... no. Actually I came here to learn about why you've talking about monsters. I also want to know who Dark is." Ash said. The old man nodded. He smiled and got up. He walked over to one of the bookshelves that were leaning against the wall. "The monsters. I don't know where they came from or what they are. But different people can see them differently. However there have been times when one's insanity gets mixed with another's." The old man that looked like Brock said. Somehow Ash understood. "Can you tell me everything you know about this cult? I heard it from my friend Serena." Ash said. Mr. Stev looks at Ash. "Ah yes, the cult. A strange bunch of people who founded the town after they took an Indian burial site. The cult believed in a different kind of god than Arceus. This god was said to be name Samael. Although they imagined the god as a girl and that name doesn't sound like it belongs to one. Oddly though, many branches were sprung off from the religion in this town. Some wanted to birth the god into the world, some wanted to live equality with the god and others, and some believed that the world should be purified before the god would come. There were even division s in the cult as to which angel was the closest to god and saw it as a 'mini-god'. However all they wanted was for god to help them, and with that love the devil took everything away. Dark came one day, saying he was a traveler from a far off land and saying he wanted to help the people. Many of the people fallowed him and began to conduct a ritual that would summon the god. However God did not hear that cry, and instead a horrible curse came from the Darkness. The traveler turned out to be a messenger of 'god', and that he was tricking them to see if they were worthy for god. Many of the people died except for the people who weren't at the ceremony. The 'angel' rewarded them by giving the town monsters to kill anyone who dares betray the lord. Some say it was a blessing. Others say that it was just another continuation of the curse Dark placed. And some believe that it's a punishment from their lord for trying to mess with things. Oddly, many saw him as an angel, but I believe he's the devil spewing lies so he could have a hell worthy for his twisted up mind. But of course, there was always one thing that made the people believe he was an angel. And that was because he was very close in personality to the red demon, Xuchilbara. He was one of the town's 'guardians', but unlike the others, he didn't care about 'The Order' and he hunted all those whose sins he felt were 'worthy'. I say that he's just another form of Dark." Steve said. After he was done, he sat back down again. Ash began to think. A lot of what the man said did sound familiar to the boy, however he couldn't trust him since the man was clearly out of his gourd and he felt that pieces of the story were false or missing.
'Do I think of Brock like this? A deranged man who has a basic understanding of what's going on, but still mad as a hatter? This man does resemble my friend quiet a lot. But I couldn't be THAT messed up. I shouldn't think of my friend like that. How many thunder shocks have I taken? Maybe that explains his weird behavior. Am I growing up or is there something wrong with me?' Ash thought. Suddenly the brock look alike snapped his fingers. Ash's eyes refocus and look at the man. "Are you okay kid?" He asked. Ash nodded. Then he got up and stretched. He then looked at the books. Most of them were messed up so he couldn't read them. And all the other books were numbers. 'Well there's a sign that defiantly proves I'm in a dream. Only dreams have this pattern.' Ash thought. "Well I'm going now." Ash said. Then he said goodbye to the man and left the mansion. Once outside, the boy noticed his friend waiting for him. She quickly notices him and waves to him. "So did you learn anything?" Serena asked. "No, he's just as mad as you say he was." Ash said. "Well we should be going." Then the two left and walked back to the hotel.
As they walked into the main lounge, Serena looks at Ash. "This was a great day. Thanks for being such a great guest." Serena said. Ash smiled. "We should do this again. Hey! Why don't we go to the pier tomorrow?" Ash said. She smiled. "Great idea, that way we can go to the amusement park. Once we're there, I can show you the really fun stuff." She said. Ash nodded. Soon the woman left. Ash sits down in a nearby chair and sighed in relief. Finally a dream where he's at least happy. "So kid." The James look alike said. Ash looks at him. "How was the date?" Ash was shocked. "D...d-date!?" Ash yelled while blushing. "Nononono. You've got it all wrong. We just looked around the town. That's all." "Then how come it looks like your blushing. Let me guess. This is your first crush." The manager said. Ash's blush grew redder. "No. We're just friends." Ash said. He soon remembered Misty. "Besides, there was another…." He soon sighed. He soon remembered the Misty look-a-like. He smiled. 'Maybe now I can be happy with her. She's finally in a place for me to have her…..but what about Dawn? ….I don't want to hurt her feelings.' Ash thought. He soon held himself. He felt so confused. He sighed. He looked at the clock. It was nearing noon. His stomach growled. He got up and walked to his room. At least now he could explore his room.
After he entered his room, he looked at the fridge and walked over to it. He opened it but found no food. He grumbles in annoyance. 'Maybe one of my other neighbors can spare a lunch.' He thought. He looked at his wallet, he didn't have that much money left. He exits his apartment and walks over to the room to his right. He knocks on the door. "Yes?" A male voice asked. "H-hi, I'm Ash Ketchum, you're new neighbor. We haven't met yet and I was wondering if you would spare some food." Ash said. Soon the door opened to reveal….Tracy? Ash was confused by this turn of events. "Tracy? What are you doing here?" Ash asked. The man titled his head. "Do I know you?" He asked. Ash was shocked by this. "Yeah! It's me, Ash Ketchum! And by the way you responded, then you're Tracy Sketch." Ash said. Tracy smiled. "Ash! Man it's been such a long time. Oak has been wondering of how you're journey been doing." Tracy said. Ash frowned. "I….I guess I'm okay…. But Tracy, what happened to Pallet Town, it's gotten so big and so dangerous since I was last home. There's even a murder under the name of Dark there." Ash said, very concerned. Tracy looked down. "Pallet's been like that for many years, Ash. Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten Emma?" Tracy said. This caused Ash to be even more confused. "What are you talking about, Tracy? Pallet was a small town. No more. But now it's a huge city." Ash said, getting frustrated. Tracy looks at Ash. "Maybe…..you've been too into you're research to really notice it." Tracy said. "Okay Tracy, you're clearly talking loony here. You know well enough that I'm not a scientist. I like science a lot and think it's cool, but I'm not smart enough to do research like Gary." Ash said, even more confused. Tracy sighed. "Henry, please stop down playing your own mind. Everyone knows how smart you are." Tracy said. Ash steps back. He felt himself get angry. "W-what did you call me?" Ash roared. Tracy steps back. "I see that you're on your off days. I'll be going now." Tracy said, then ran away from the boy. Ash growled in anger and frustration. Just what was going on? He soon sighed. He needed to calm down. Getting angry at Tracy wasn't going to solve this confusion. He looked at his hand then he touched his through. "Big Brother…..Luc…..why aren't you here? Why aren't you helping me?" Ash asked. However, no one replied. He sighed and walked over to Serena's door. He knocked. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Opal. Ash smiled. He felt his heart pumping hard. "Oh, you're that kid from yesterday. I heard from Serena that she took you on a tour of the town." Opal said. Ash nodded. "Yeah, and she showed me a lot of areas. But I don't mind if you showed me around the place as well. Besides, I'm kind of hungry." Ash said. Opal groaned. "Sorry, sir, but I don't want to. I'm not going to spend food for some guy I hardly know. I only defended you from Mr. Stev because I was tired of tourists runaway from our town. But I'm not going to let some guy be my boyfriend." She said. Ash wickedly smiled. "Oh come on, just imagine it. A wondrous night on the town. Just the two of us. Wouldn't it be wonderful?" Ash said, his words sounded oily. She looked away. "I don't even know you! Why should I trust you? Especially since it's nowhere close to it being night." She said, annoyed. "Oh come off it, Misty. Stop pretending. You know me. I'm your best friend. We've been through so much together." Ash said as he grabbed her. She began pushing him away. "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU CREEP!" She yelled. Ash growled.
His hands became razor sharp. "No….NO! I won't let another dream have this end like this! I WILL HAVE YOU!" Ash roared. He puts his hand next to her neck. "BE MINE OR I'LL HURT YOU!" Ash yelled. She froze. Ash chuckles, however, she soon angrily looks at him. "NEVER." She whispered. Ash felt his heart smash into pieces. Ash growled. "Why!? Why must you always resist me?! Why can't you be mine!?" Ash yelled in frustration. He looked down. "Why must you always be slain by my hands when I'm in this hell?" He asked himself. She looked down. "Because I…I love Satoshi. Wh-why can't you see that? Even after all he did to me; he's still a better person than you. I'd still go after him despite his flaws, but…yours are too visible. Too aggressive. I…I could never love a man who kills and murders for fun." She said. He growled as he lets her go. "You're letting me go? Why?" She asked. Ash smiled. "Who said I was letting you go? I'm just getting ready for your punishment." Ash said. She froze. "You denied that we can't work, that I'm…too monstrous. You think that Satoshi is an angel and see me as a demon. Heheheheh. Oh, how I wish you knew how much you were wrong. Have you forgotten what I told you? He and I… we're one and the same, and yet our minds are different. It's strange I know, but I don't lie about this stuff." Ash said. She steps back in fear. "Now it's time to be punished again. Is that right, Maria?" Ash said as forms a spear from his hands. She turns around. "I'm sorry, but James can't help you. Hehehe. He never could." Ash said. He soon stabs her in the back. She screams in pain. Ash chuckles as she falls to the ground. Blood poured out of the wound. He kneeled to her as tears began to pour out. He held himself. 'Why? Why can't you be mine? Why must it end like this when I'm in this town?' Ash thought as he felt his heart break. He soon saw an image of a woman similar to Misty sitting in a bed. Ash could see the man he saw earlier sitting in a chair that was next to her. The woman looked very sickly looking. Ash was in the shadows. His work was done with the man, and he felt satisfied. However, he knew it wouldn't last and that he needed another to fill the void in his heart. Ash shocked the image away. He didn't want to be reminded of 'that time'. He sighed. He looked at the Misty look alike. "I'm sorry." Ash whispered. Suddenly, he sees the girl from his dream appear. "Opal?" She asked. Ash was confused. 'What the…..? Who's she?' Ash thought. Suddenly a fear overcame his curiosity 'Did….did she just heard all of that? What I said? NO! She…she didn't….she couldn't….if she did. I….I would been found out. I would go back to the cage. NO! I'M NOT GOING BACK THERE!' Ash yelled in his head as he got up. He picks up the weapon. The girl was terrified of the boy. Ash raised his spear. He couldn't let her live. She had to be eliminated. However, he felt a headache enter his mind. 'Augh! My head!' Ash held his head. Suddenly the area began to distort and blurry. 'No. She's the one I'm supposed to protect. The one I'm supposed to serve. She is the one!' Ash thought. He felt his heart burning inside and his body constrained by chains. 'But….why?' He asked himself. Ash closed his eyes and very thing became blackness. After a while, he felt his body twitching. Suddenly he heard a voice. "Ash…..ASH!" A girl yelled. Suddenly everything became white.
