"What's wrong with her?" He barges into the room and he doesn't care that's it's a little rude or disrespectful and he doesn't care about the surprised look and the shocked look across their faces because maybe this is unusual behavior for him, but the only thing he cares about is her.

They've been hiding away a lot, Logan and the Professor, and maybe they thought people wouldn't notice but he has, and he knows that they whisper and keep secrets from the rest of the school, and he knows they know about her because everyone does.

"Nothing," the Professor says.

"Well..." Logan says. "Something."

"Can you fix it?" He asks because that's the question that really matters.

"Her mind is catching up to itself," the Professor says like that's supposed to make sense to anyone, and Logan nods. "And she's remembering."

And something in that tone, in the careful deliverance of those words, in the troubled glance between his mentors, makes him almost afraid to ask, "Remembering what?"
