Disclaimer; Avatar the last Air bender? nope we don't own it. Naruto? nope we don't have that either. TT-TT What have we accomplished then?
Water, Earth, Fire, Air. Long ago the four nation lived together in harmony. But that all changed when the fire nation attacked. It was believed that the avatar, master of all four elements, was the only one who can end the fighting. But when the world needed him most, he vanished without a trace. For over eighty years the fire nation raged war on the world, until he came. The one man that single handedly took the blunt of the fire nation army, storm the capital city, and took the fire lord and his family down; all on his own. That man then took the fire nation's power and broke it. But the fire nation was not erased from history as the man had a goal. He wished to unite the world together not as four separate nations but as one people…one world…one empire.
With the war over and change started to happen with the Uzu Empire changing the world. People believe that they are making the world better but there are being fooled. The empire is only taking over the world like the fire nation was doing but behind a mask of kindness. My family has been fighting to break the empire so the world can be save and the balance restored. But the only one that can do that…is the avatar.
Avatar; The Last Air bender
The Uzu Empire
~Book One: Water~
Katara smiled as everyone stared at Aang. Hakoda glanced at Aang before returning it to Katara. Sokka gapped at Aang, "Wait! You're the avatar!"
Aang nodded though he did not look proud of that fact, "I am, though I never wanted to be."
Katara raised a brow at this answer but she put it to the back of her mind for now, "Now that we got that out of the way. I have been looking for you."
Aang stood ready; he saw how this teen, a beautiful teen mind you, was attacking several of the men and Sokka before he arrived, "Well I would have like to meet you but I don't approve of you attacking this village."
Katara frowned slightly, "I did not come here with the intention of attacking anyone. I will admit I let my temper get the better of me with some of the dumb boy's comments. But to be fair they were sexist one so it can be understandable. However," she had her hands raised showing no motion of attacking. "I am attacking now? The men behind me are merely the guards and crew of the ship I came on. I came to the south looking for you avatar. The Emperor wishes an audience with you."
Aang raised a brow, "Why does he want to see me? And how did you even know I was here anyways?"
"The Emperor wishes to see the one that is to help bring balance to the world. He simply wishes speak with you. As for how we knew where to find you." Katara laughed slightly, "Emperor Naruto had many different and aweing abilities. One of which is that of a sage you can say. He can sense the life force of the world and he can focus enough on people and location with high amount of life and energy. He found a high amount down south, but hidden so I was given the task of finding you. As the best healing second only to Empress Sakura I was needed in case you were injured."
Sokka however open his mouth again and scoffed, "A healer? Right. Why don't you go back onto your ship and heal all your men after we send them back limping onto your ship."
Katara's hands lowered slightly and her eye twitched and Aang felt nervous for some reason, "You really have not learn your lesson yet have you?"
"Wait!" Aang cried out, "There's no need to fight."
Katara took a deep breath and tried to relax, "You're right. Just come with us and we will set sail for the Empire."
Aang frown slightly glancing back at the village, "If I leave with you, will to spear the village?"
Katara shrugged, "I had no intention of harming them anyways. If they don't try and attack us while we are leaving then they will most likely never see us again."
Aang, sat down and placed his staff as he looked at the beautiful girl.
"Alright, I'll come with you." He said as he made a motion of surrender, and Katara walked towards him.
"You're not a prisoner, but a guest. It's great that you decided to come with us. Now we can return to the capital." Katara said happily as she escorted Aang on the ship with the guards making sure there was no trouble as Sokka just watched, before making a comment.
"You don't have to go with them if you don't want to, we'll fight!"
"No Sokka. It's okay, and maybe this emperor guy just needs to be talked to." Aang said as he turned around for a moment to speak, but after that disappeared on the ship.
(Scene Break)
Aang was staring at Katara still thinking, that even though she was attacking in a sadistic way, she was still the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and one of the guards noticed this.
"I wouldn't go barking up that ally in the romance department if I were you. Lady Katara is one of the emperor's royal consorts." He said confusing the kid.
"Consort?" He asked innocently enough, and the man just shook his head a bit before answering back.
"Concubine, lover, harem girl, take your pick. The point is that the Emperor has a harem of beautiful women, and she's part of it. Of course I don't blame the women for liking the Emperor in that way, since he's such a great guy." Aang looked a little said that Katara was taken, and to some guy that Sokka said was as bad as the Fire Lord.
Katara turned to them, having not heard a single word then said "I don't know how long you were in that iceberg but I think we should check you out just in case."
"Check me out?" Aang asked not understanding.
Katara nodded, "I'll look to over and see if you are in perfect health." She smiled, "Don't worry, I'm one of the best healers in the Empire before the Empress."
Aang chuckled nervously. He didn't mind healers and doctors but only when he was not feeling good or if he was sick. Right now though… "You know I recall one of the guards saying he would give me a tour and it would be rude to hold him up." Aang turned and tried to walk at a semi fast pace away from them but a hand reached out and caught the back of his shirt holding him in place.
Aang turned to see Katara frowning annoyed at his trying to ditch her before she marched forward dragging the boy with her. "Relax nothing bad will happen."
"Can't we talk about this?" Aang asked trying to get away while in his semi panic it never accorded to him to us air bending.
"No," Katara stated as she dragged him to another room while the guard that talked to Aang gave him a look of pity. He recalled one crew member that didn't let Katara check him out even after healing his injury during a storm and wanted to make sure he was fine. She ended up dragging the man into the medical room with water bending and freezing him to the chair. He only hoped the kid would not have to do that far.
"You even think about running and I will hold you down with ice!"
'Though if the rumors are true the Empire is the same even with his wife checking him over' mused the guard before he left to relax as they set sail.
(Scene change)
Sokka looked out to sea with his spy scope as the ship got smaller and smaller. He could not believe Aang would be taken willingly even for their sake. And now the Avatar was being taken to the Empire Capital and to face the Emperor. Sokka knew Aang would have to face the man sooner or later but from what he seen the kid was not ready yet. 'Well I'm not going to let the empire get their hands on the world's best hope.'
Hakoda stood next to Sokka looking out. He was quite since the whole exchange though his reasoning was different. 'Katara…is that really my Katara?'
Sokka finally said, "This is not good. We cannot let get taken like this. If the Empire gets Aang to the Capital then the world will just surrender without a fight."
Hakoda looked at his son, "I agree that we need to help Aang but what can we do? Our ships will never catch up to theirs and even then we would be spotted beforehand."
Sokka growled and kicked some snow, "We need a way to get over there fast. We need a way too…"
Hakoda noticed his son stopped and turned to see what he was looking at. There stood the bison Aang had his him, Appa. Sokka looked at his dad, "Aang said this thing can fly right?"
Hakoda nodded, "Yes and Air benders have been known to fly them years ago. It might be our only chance."
That was when they started to try and fly the bison. Sokka was then trying to think of how to get the bison flying he started to say different things.
"What was it that kid said? Up-up, hip-hip, soar?" Sokka started as Hakoda at least had better memory of what the kid was talking about.
"I believe it was Yip-yip." That was when Appa let out a loud groan before he slammed his tail down and took to the skies and soared. It was in that moment that many of the water tribe southerners stared at amazement at the fact that the bison really was flying. None of them had ever seen a sky bison before, even if they are preserved by the Uzu Empire, so they heard.
"I can't believe this we're actually flying!" Sokka said before Hakoda managed to get Appa to land a bit so that some extra warriors to help in their raid of the Uzu Ship to rescue the Avatar.
"Once more, Yip-yip!" Hakoda said, and he took the reins and began to fly Appa towards the ship.
(Scene Break)
"It was just a checkup, you big baby." Katara said as Aang was essentially tied to the chair with ice before Katara released him after the checkup. She used mostly water bending, but also something strange that seemed to give her greater insight to his body, and she constantly made notes on a scroll after checking everything out, even his breathing, "But despite the problems everything seems to be okay. No illnesses that would require treatment, no frostbite, no disabilities that could require rehabilitation. Overall you're as healthy as an ostrich-horse." Katara said double checking the notes on her current patient, Aang.
"O-o-okay," said Aang starting to get cold from the ice holding him down, "can I get out now?"
Katara rolled her eyes but melted the ice and freed Aang. "I swear you are acting just like Lord Naruto."
The air bender got up before his stomach growled loudly and blushed. Katara laughed and turned to him, "hungry huh? C'mon we can get some food in the galley."
Katara lead the way with Aang following her before he mention "ummm, I don't eat meat."
Katara laughed, "You're lucky right now. The chef made my favorite, stewed sea prudes."
Katara didn't see the look on Aang's face at the thought of such a meal. But he mange to keep following Katara to the galley. Aang glanced around seeing several men and women sitting at tables and eating. Katara got two bows for them, hers slightly larger than his own, and lead him to one of the tables. Aang recognize the guard that talked to Aang before Katara dragged him to be examined. "Well looks who survived. This is the avatar guys, afraid of nothing but getting a checkup."
Aang chuckled nervously as he sat down. The guard waved his hand, "Relax kid I'm just messing with yea."
"He's shorter than I expected," one female guard said, "Younger too."
Aang pouts as the others laughed, "Hey I'm twelve what do you expect?"
"An old man?" one guy suggest with a laugh.
Seeing Aang pout the first guard laughed, "Relax kid he's just teasing. If it makes you feel better he tried to run when Katara wanted to give him a checkup. I think he had it worst then you."
The others laughed except for the one guard, "Shut up."
The first guard said, "Anyways, I'm Maki, the girl's is Chu Mai, and runner boy is Wu Long.
"Screw you Maki" Wu Long deadpan.
"I'm Aang," he greeted before addressing Wu Long. "Well Katara did tell me that someone named Naruto acted the same way."
Wu Long raised a brow and smiled feeling better. Chu Mai shook her head, "Hard to believe the Emperor acting like you big baby."
"What's he like?" Aang asked.
"I meet him a once times before we set off from the capital," Maki said, "Whatever you expect and throw it out the window. He is nothing like you would believe. Powerful no doubt but he is something else."
"Well what do you expect from the man what stopped the Great War?" Chu Mai asked "This is the man that stormed the old Fire Nation Capital from the sea and took down the Fire Lord and his family."
"My father use to be one of the guard in charge of protecting the area Lord Naruto charged. Said he didn't last a second when he reached the man but he saw enough to scare him. Took all kinds of attacks and either blocked or avoided them like some sort of super human. Dad always swore he was a spirit given human form or the son of a spirit."
"Now you guys are being dramatic," Katara finally butted in. "believe it or not Lord Naruto is just as human as we are. Powerful yes but human none the less." She took a bite of her sea prudes and added, "And Lord Naruto didn't take on the whole Capital by himself as much as people believe that; it was a team of seven."
"Yeah because a team of seven super humans is better than just one," Chu Mai stated sarcastically. She then got a sly grin on her face, "So care to tell a girl how good he is in the royal sac?"
Aang blushed as did Katara although for different reasons. Maki spat out his food while Wu Long choked, "Chu Mai we're eating here, we don't want to hear that."
Chu Mai waved him off with her attention all on Katara, "At least tell us how big he is."
"That's something we guys don't want to hear Chu Mai, so please let's just drop it." Wu Long said, but that only made Katara get a mischievous grin on her face.
"Well, Lord Naruto is certainly big enough to be the son of a spirit dragon down there, and he always makes sure that his women are very satisfied to the point that we think we're in the spirit world entirely." Aang just blushed and felt nervous about the sexual innuendo and could hardly even keep his stewed sea prunes down, at least he felt he couldn't keep them down.
"Great, Lady Katara certainly knows how to make men feel inadequate in the equipment. We're just lucky that Lord Naruto has exclusive tastes and never forces anyone into his harem." Maki said as he tried to eat and Katara then decided to add.
"Of course, the Empress is just as skilled in pleasuring a woman as well as a man. Of course with so many lovers of her husband, Lady Sakura has learned the intimate pleasures of pleasing a man and a woman."
"Y-you don't say." Chu Mai blushed at that and there were certainly a few nosebleeds and even more furious red faced Aang at the embarrassment.
'Stay away worldly desires and impure thoughts.' Aang thought and meditated as the meal went on. That was when the ship suddenly lurched.
"What just happened?" Asked Wu Long as he prepared to fight back.
"We might be attacked, everyone to arms! Ensure that the Avatar and Lady Katara are well protected!" Maki said and Katara just threw him a look.
"I can fight as well."
"I know that, but Lord Naruto would be furious if harm were to befall the Avatar or you. And I also don't want to worry about you losing yourself. So please, stay near the Avatar." Maki said as he gathered the rest of the troops to see the commotion as the boat lurched to a side again.
Katara had a scowl on her face before she forced herself to take a seat. Aang looked at her before he glanced to where all the men and women ran off to.
(Scene change)
The rocking of the ship came from Appa. Upon Sokka's command the bison speed to the ship before he lands on the deck with a hard sudden thump. The ship rocked from the force as the men on the deck were too startled by the bison's appearance that the water tribe men were able to get the first attack on. The first men were either knocked out or thrown into the ocean. Sokka threw his boomerang and knocked the helmet off of one guard on the upper levels before he caught the weapon again. Hakoda then ordered, "More will be coming up top as we speak. Sokka, you and Bato will stay her and hold our ground. Try and give me time. I'm going after Aang and Katara."
"The kid I understand but why that crazy woman!" Sokka cried as he blocked a sword strike from one guard before he gave his opponent a head butt and knocked him away.
"I'll explain later!" Hakoda cried before he ran toward the door. Appa helped out by slamming his tail and cause a burst of air bending to knock several guards right into the side of the ship and causing it to rock again. Hakoda pressed himself against the wall right next to the door as he heard footsteps. He waited out of sight as more troops poured out onto the battle. When the last man went, he waited before headed down below.
"This is going to be a pain," Maki stated as he sent a small series of fire balls at the warriors though they were able to dodge or shield themselves. "Where did they all come from?"
"My guess is the 1800 pounds of fluff known as an air bison." Chu Mai deadpan as she drew two large knives from her belt. She spun to avoid a spear stab and used water bending to knock the man away before she used her knives to block a sword.
"At least we have something to do now," Wu Long said as he started his fight with another spearmen and kept the other at bay, "After we got the Avatar I was worried the rest of the trip would be boring."
"Oh shut up Wu," his friends said before they went back into the battle.
(Scene change)
"I can't believe they are doing this," Katara muttered as she crossed her arms and actually pouts angrily.
"Who are you talking about?" Aang could not help but ask.
"My men," she answered, "part of me actually expected the south fighters to come attack us as I suspected they were part of the rebels. No I did not expect my own men to actually make me hide away like a fragile doll."
"They're just worried about you," Aang said trying to calm her down.
"I can take care of myself!" Katara cried, "I've been trained by some of the best fighters in not only water bending by other forms of fighting. I've been able to spar with the emperor and the empress with help from my friends. Sure they had to hold back but that means I can hold my own."
"Katara!" the voice surprised them and they turned to see Hakoda running into the gallery.
Katara however gained her smirk seeing him, "Well thanks for coming. Now I have something to take my anger out on."
Hakoda however raised his hands showing he was unarmed, "Please I only came to talk."
Katara scoffed, "And yet you and your men are attacking my ship. Give me a reason why I should let you talk?"
Hakoda however stayed steady "Because I wish to know where you came from? You said you have not been in the south for a long time. You look like a member of my tribe so tell me please…what happen to make you leave?"
Katara scowled darkly, "I did not leave willingly; I was taken. While I love my life as it is now I never expected to leave my home. I lived in the south water tribe as a little girl before we were attacked from a raid by the Blood Flames."
"Blood Flames?" Aang echoed for the first time. He did not say anything before as he felt the two needed to talk.
"When Lord Naruto ended the Great War and created the empire not everyone in the fire nation agreed with it. They were old war mongers and power hungry fools wishing to keep the war going even when there was peace. A group of the old Fire Nation army defected and formed a group known as the Blood Flame. Old war minsters rule most of it though the main army is run by a fool of a man calling himself the great General Zhou. A man filled with blinded anger and an ego bigger than the late fire prince Ozai. They killed my mother right before my eyes and took me away because I was a water bender."
Hakoda had his eyes wide while Katara lowered her head as tears started to fall, "I was held prisoner on their ship as they headed to one of their bases. However," she lifted her head and glared at Hakoda, "Lord Naruto came with his team and destroyed the ship. They found me and learning what happen they took me home. They helped me, they loved me and gave me my life back. I do not remember anyone from my family besides my mother but Naruto, Sakura and the others are my family."
Hakoda and Aang didn't really know what to say, and Katara was still angry. She never liked reliving the past, because it brought painful memories of her mother's death and her capture. The things the soldiers of the Blood Flame could have done to her when she was older, or even when she was the age she was captured if they were sick in the mind enough.
"I...I don't know what to say other then I'm sorry." Hakoda said as Katara just looked at him a bit. She then readied the attack and struck.
(Scene Break)
"Come on, we can beat these guys! They have girls fighting with them, how tough can they be?" Sokka said as he continued the fight up top, and any of the women that had heard him were quite displeased. There weren't that many women noted, but the ones that were, decided to take their frustrations out on the guy. Before anyone could do anything else, Hakoda was sent flying to the surface, courtesy of Katara and her water bending.
"And here's the other reason we didn't want her to fight." Said one of the guys as Katara was ready to pretty much take the entire group out.
Katara glared at the troops around her before one made the first move. He stabbed his spear at her but she made a simple blade of water and cut the spearhead off before she blasted him back. And moved her hands in a pattern and water gathered from the air around her before they froze into ice shards. The men before were stunned at her making water appear in thin air before Katara sent the shards at them. Some of the men cried out as they were stabbed in several places, mostly the arms and legs while several were able to bring shields up in time to block the ice. Sokka growled at Katara as she was spinning around the attacks his men tried to hit her with and at the same time knock them away with water. When her back was to him Sokka charged with his club up and ready to knock her across the back of the head. Katara however ducked under the swing and kicked up, bring some water with her as she caught Sokka across the face.
Aang came up in time to see Sokka get knocked back by Katara. He gasped seeing Sokka sat up and was bleeding slightly from a cut going above his eye and right next to it. The blood was starting to blind Sokka but he could still see from that eye. He looked at Katara as the girl turned to the down boy and started to stalk towards him. This was not the stunning girl he saw before, this was an angry sadistic girl ready to finish her pray. Two met tried to stop her by charging from behind but Katara simply sent two ice shards to their legs, causing them to collapse to the deck. Sokka glared as best he could at Katara but Hakoda got between the unknown siblings. "Katara please stop this."
Katara growled with her fist clenched, "You come here and attacked us and now that we are fighting back you expect us to stop? You think you can order us around when it convenience you? You don't tell me what to do!"
"You cannot keep going like this," Hakoda tried to say, "Please, you would be making a mistake you will regret."
"And how's that?" Katara asked her stance not changing.
"Because…" Hakoda started, "he's your brother. You're my little girl that was taken from me the same day we lost your mother. Please Katara, we don't have to fight anymore."
Sokka and Katara stared at him stunned. Tears form in Katara's eyes before she closed them and pushed them back. When she opens them he saw they were angry, "how dare you!"
She sent two streams of water and knocked both Sokka and Hakoda back. "You dare try and us that against me! I reveal my past for you and now you try and us that to control me! You think I will just forget my life I have now to just come back to you just because of what you or he says!" as she rants she sent more and more water at them and started to push them back. "I will never turn my back on Lord Naruto and all they done for me! You think this changes anything? You're dead wrong!"
Katara wrapped her father's arm in water and held him up in the air. She glared at him while also pushing Sokka down with water as well. She held her open hand to Hakoda before she started closing it as if grabbing something. Hakoda grits his teeth and holds his expose arm from outside the water as if in pain. "I learned this from trying to copy Master Gaara's technique with water instead of sand. I hope it teaches you a lesson."
She closes her hand more as Hakoda cries out in pain and they could barely make the sound of bones breaking in the air. Before Katara could finish this a blade of air shot right by her and hit the water holding Hakoda, causing the water and the man to drop to the deck. Katara blinked stunned by this before she found Aang moved so he was between her and Hakoda.
"Move Aang!" She demanded, having learned his name for the sake of making a complete medical record. She was teary, and enraged, anyone that knew that this was not a good combination for any warrior, especially one that had a fairly strong sadistic streak.
"No, this is wrong and you know it! I don't know what to think, but if you're going to act like this..." The young Avatar said, as he kept his ground.
Katara wasn't going to listen, and maybe Aang knew that subconsciously. Necessary self-defense was what the monks had taught him, and this went way beyond necessary self-defense. Katara was still in control enough to already plan things out: move Aang aside, and injure the one who sought to control her using any sense of familial connection, if there was one. For all she knew this man was lying about his connection to her, and that felt like a foolish mistake. Aang decided to at least move offensively somewhat and used his Air bending skills to knock all of the Uzu soldiers off their feet and on the deck of the ship, this included Katara.
After all the soldiers were knocked down Aang ran to Hakoda, who was getting help to his feet by his son. "Are you alright?" the monk asked as he winced seeing the arm. It was bleeding slightly and clearly broken but overall in one piece.
Hakoda grunts as he places his good arm over Sokka's shoulder, "My arm is broken but I'll live."
Katara was getting back to her feet and saw the water tribesmen were regrouping near Appa. She was knocked back down by an air bending push from Appa's tail. Aang looked at all the men, "We have to go now," the monk said.
"He's right," Hakoda said before anyone else could object, "We're all injured and need to retreat."
Aang started to hope those that needed it onto Appa before he took the reins. He gave Katara one last look before he cried, "Appa, yip-yip!"
The sky bison groaned before he took to the skies. The soldiers watched as they flew away before Maki turned to Katara "Should we go after them Lady Katara?"
Katara followed them with her eyes before she said, "No, it's clear the avatar will not be willing to talk to Lord Naruto. Let's go home. Send a message ahead so the emperor knows what's going on."
Katara headed below deck as the rest gathered their troops, either injured or in the water. Katara however headed for her quarters and laid down on the bed. Her emotions were riding high still as she cried wanting to forget the awful memories that were brought up and how they were almost used against her. She wanted nothing more than to be in Naruto's and the other's arms. Not just for the love making she also wanted but to simply know she belongs.
