Author's Note:

I want to thank everyone that followed my story! It means alot to me because this is my first story.

I also want to add a BIG FAT DISCLAIMER! I do not own any of Noragami, or any of the main characters of the anime.

The setting of the story is from the anime, and is based off of, Noragami.

The only characters that are mine are Sera, and and other people she runs into along the way.

Sorry this chapter is a little short. The first few chapters are mainly introductions. They will get get longer as I get into the body of the story.

I'm sorry that the update took so long! I can't promise frequent updates because of school, but I'll try my hardest! I forgot to add an author's note to the first chapter, so the disclaimer applies there too!

Chapter 2:

It feels as if I've been walking for ages, but it's only been 20 minutes. Am I really that out of shape? Well, homelessness and starvation aren't the best conditions to maintain a healthy body in, so I shrug it off and continue walking in the pouring rain, despite the nagging fatigue looming on me. My destination ,a.k.a the random corner store, is coming into view. I speed up my pace as I clutch the glowing light blue flyer tightly in my hands.

This is it, I'm finally going to get a mission! It's been so long since I've had one. I hope I don't screw it up. I know I shouldn't be so excited for such desecrating work. But hey, a job is a job and I will get paid. That's all that matters.

I reach the store. It's a small establishment. The gray paint on the outside of the store is peeling off, and in big black letter on a sign right above the door, it says: Commonwealth Convenience Store. I walk in slowly. The warm store is a nice change from the pouring rain I've been traveling in. I saunter up and down the aisles. What's the point in rushing, I'll just warm up little before I get down business.

After about half and hour of just walking around and warming up, I finally go to the counter. The girl at the counter gives me a dirty look. How can she have something against me already? Am I really that easy to dislike? Well, whether she likes me or not, I need to know how to get to the chapel, so I put on my fakest smile and beam,"Hello" ma'am, could you please give me directions to the nearest chapel?"

She sneers at me, then doubles in laughter - if you can even call it that. It sounded more like a hyena cackling. From what I can tell, she's a slim girl with a nice figure. She has wavy blonde hair with pink highlights, and a face full of makeup. She smirks at me and says,"Maybe the location of the nearest asylum would be much more useful to you!." Did she really just say that? I don't even know her and she's already insulting me. I grit my teeth and try to bear with it, because I really need the directions to the chapel.

"Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll pass." I say through clenched teeth. I take a deep breath, I need to calm down. I can't lose my head over some snobby girl I don't even know. So I try again and plead,"I really need directions to the nearest chapel, so please help me out." She sighs and reluctantly points towards the entrance saying, "Go down the road you took here, make a left at the Ho Wah Chinese Restaurant, and keep going straight. That will take you to the Tokyo city chapel."

I thank her and take my leave. As I walk outside, I notice that the rain has stopped. That's a good sign. I start off in the direction I came in. Her directions were so straight forward, and they destination seemed pretty close as well. So why have I still not spotted the Ho wah restaurant? I keep walking straight with no end in sight. As I'm walking, my glowing light blue flyer slips out of my hand. I immediately start to look for it. As I grovel on my hands and knees looking for my flyer, I hear footsteps approach me. Maybe that cashier realized that the directions she gave me were wrong, and has come to correct them.

When I look up, I see a boy standing in front of me. He has wavy blonde hair, white skin, and dark orange eyes. He looks 14 or 15 years old. He's wearing a long black jacket that has a fur hood, with a white t-shirt and some jeans underneath his jacket. But this boy particularly had one off-setting feature. He had red writing on the left crook of his neck that said: Yukine. I'd know that writing anywhere because that exact same writing covers up 80% of my body! There is only one being in the world that could place that specific type of writing on someone's body like that: a God.
