Side story 2 Lighten up with a smile shy Lillie!

Lillie is a very, very shy girl in contrast to the cheerful,cheeky but kind Reia Ketchum and this story shows how the two unlikely pair of girls became close friends to each other.

*This story happens after I obtain my first Kanto gym badge*

"I still can't believe I got my first ever BADGE! I DID IT BY MYSELF ON FIRST TRY, HAHA!", James Buchanan the 12 year old said holding his Boulder Badge up in the air excitedly.

"Sigh... when are you gonna calm it James? I don't know where you get that energy from...", Eddie Oak his travelling companion said exhaustedly...

Ever since their group's first ever gym battle victory against Brock, James had been gloating non-stop about his badge, but then again who could really blame him? After all he was still a young trainer who didn't have much experience.

However unlike the lively James who overcame his shyness there was one who had still to overcome it and that was his adopted 11 year old Sister Lillie, who had a blonde ponytail, White jumper,skirt and shoes but with some Light blue patterns in some bits.

Lillie had been adopted by James' father Alvin Buchanan after her mother Lumisine and Father had been killed by Ghetsis and her Brother was listed as missing...

But since Lumisine informed James' Dad due to them together travelling once, that if anything happened to her she would entrust her children to him, and so Alvin Buchanan took Lillie under his and James' wing and overtime Lillie managed to bond with her new family.

Unfortunately the shyness still hadn't faded around other people so Lillie found it difficult to travel by herself without hiding behind James even if it was his friends Reia Ketchum and Eddie Oak.

"Anyway we've got to find supplies for traveling to cerulean city James, otherwise if we don't you'll run hungry before you even have the energy to boast about your badge!", Eddie said knowingly.

"Oh you're overreacting Eddie! I'll be fine!", James boasted.

*James' Stomach growls*

"Oh...Ehehe...", James giggled, blushing bashfully.

Reia giggled a little at how quickly James' words bite him back, but also out of love.

But then James had a thought, "Who'll look after Lillie while we're out of the Pokémon centre Eddie?"

"I will.", Reia said volunteering,

James was at first, a bit hesitant about Reia looking after Lillie as Lillie was still uncomfortable around Reia, but seeing this as a opportunity for Lillie to bond with someone other than himself or his Dad, James accepted her kind offer and he and Eddie left to get the supplies.

Reia then escorted Lillie to their room for the night and attempted to strike up a conversation,

"So what's it like living with James, Lillie?", She asked gently, trying not to scare her.

Lillie shyly said quietly and softly, "Um...it's great and he's really supportive of me...umm..."

"Um...could you speak a bit louder Lillie? Sorry I couldn't hear you.", Reia asked carefully, not wanting to upset her.

Lillie sensing Reia's concern spoke a bit louder, "It's great and he's really supportive of me."

"I-I see...", Reia said a bit shyly too as she had a major crush on James.

Lillie then said nervously, "U-Um...do you...l-like him Reia?"

"HUH!? Oh...um...yes...I do...", Reia said taken a little off-guard blushing.

Lillie then panicked saying, "O-oh...Reia...s-sorry...I-I didn't mean..."

Reia then puts a hand on her shoulder with a reassuring smile and said, "It's okay Lillie I don't mind you asking, I've had this crush on him after he saved me from a group of Arbok despite how dangerous it was,getting that scar on his right cheek, and it sort of,well...grew from there."

Lillie smiles a bit at that story, "I'm sure James will understand how you feel one day Reia."

Reia then smiles back at her, "Thank you, I'm sure you'll grow out of your shyness one day too."

As she said this Reia "accidentally" runs a finger on Lillie's stomach and she got an unexpected giggle from her.

"Lillie? Are you...ticklish?", Reia said not quite believing what she heard.

"Um...yes.", Lillie admitted but she for some reason seemed to be okay with it.

Reia then has a slight mischievous smile on her face understanding Lillie's reaction, "Okay then, Cutie-pie!, you've asked for it! Coochie Coochie Coo!"

Reia began gently tickling Lillie's tummy causing her to let out soft adorable giggles.

"Hehehe! That tickles!", Lillie giggled happily.

"That's the point silly~ Tickle! Tickle! Tickle!", Reia teased while tickling her sides.

Reia then looks at Lillie's feet and pulls off her shoes and socks with Lillie surprisingly not putting up a fight.

"Wow...your feet are so cute...do you always maintain them Lillie?", Reia said in amazement upon looking at them.

Lillie blushed at the compliment "Y-yeah...", Reia then began tickling them making Lillie laugh harder, apparently her feet were her most ticklish spot.

"Hahahahaha! Reia! Not there! Hahahaha!", Lillie said playfully acting like she was in danger.

Reia smiles continuing this for 5 minutes before stopping to let Lillie rest a bit as she didn't have stamina like Reia.

"*Panting*...Ah that was fun...", Lillie said exhaustedly.

"I guess you like being tickled then Lillie?", Reia asked.

"Yeah. My mother and I used to tickle each other all the time and it sort of became fun to me, so You reminded me of that Reia.", Lillie passionately said, fondly remembering.

"See? the shy tension in your voice is gone.", Reia said happily.

"Yeah...you're right...Thank you Reia...Um...can I ask you something?", Lillie said slightly blushing.

"Okay then go ahead and tickle me.", Reia said understanding what Lillie was going to ask.

"How did you-", Lillie began.

"It was obvious from what you said about you and your mother, plus it's only fair right?", Reia said taking off her shoes and socks.

"Okay then.", Lillie said having recovered she then proceeded to softly tickle Reia's sides first, though even the softest touch was making Reia laugh hard much to her surprise, as even James didn't manage that at the beginning when he often tickled her as a kid.

("Man! Her fingers' touch must be more sensitive than James'-EEK!"), Reia said in her head before being interrupted by Lillie tickling her tummy which was Reia's second worst tickle spot.

"HAHAHAHA! LILLIE! NOT THERE! HAHAHAHAHA!", Reia screamed as Lillie blew a raspberry on her tummy, though Reia was clearly enjoying this.

Lillie then got a mischievous look at Reia's feet.

("Uh Oh...!"), Reia said in her head, "Wait Lillie! My feet are much more ticklish than my tummy, please give me a minute to prepare! Reia said panicking.

Lillie then gives a thoughtful face, "Hmm...nope!", she said sticking her tongue out at Reia and tickling her feet with her fingers.

"EEP! HAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA! STAHAHAHAHAHAHP! LILLIE! IT TICKLES! HEHEHEEHHEHE!", Reia shrieked in laughter to Lillie's delight continuing for 4 minutes before stopping to let Reia catch her breath.

"Sorry for going overboard like that...", Lillie said worried she may have taken it too far.

"No it's fine Lillie.", Reia said, still giggling from all the tickles.

"I'd say though you're a pretty good tickler!", Reia complimented causing a blush from Lillie, "Th-thank you." Lillie said,shyly, "At least we have something in common, we're both really ticklish on our feet." The two girls laughed at that.

A few hours later James and Eddie arrived back with the food for traveling and both of them decided to check up on Reia and Lillie.

"We're back!", James said but stopped as he saw the most adorable sight he had ever seen in his entire life.

There on the bed...was Reia sleeping softly next to Lillie who was holding one arm over Reia hugging her and both were smiling at each other.

"James? What's going o-?", Eddie started, "Shh!", James hissed one finger over his mouth, "Look for yourself.", He whispered, chuckling.

Eddie peeked through the door and smiled at the sight too,

"Think we should leave the two for a while?", Eddie asked, chuckling too.

"Yeah.", James said closing the door quickly and quietly but unknown to him or Eddie, Reia and Lillie saw the two leave with an eye open and the two grinned at each other, falling asleep.

The next morning as the group headed toward Mt. Moon James noticed Lillie chatting more with Reia.

"Did something happen while we were gone you two?", James asked.

The two girls then winked at him with one finger over their mouths, "That's a secret between us girls~ !", they said with a giggle and a cheeky grin.

Lillie is still shy of others because She's that sort of girl but she's now much more comfortable around Reia ever since that day.
