Seeing Everything
Ch.2
Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia.
As Prussia stared at the cat that used to be a nation he could feel his mind going into overdrive. Somehow he had turned England into a cat, and he didn't know what to do to turn him back.
"Hey, you know how to turn yourself back to normal right?" Prussia asked the cat.
England just yawned and continued to look at Prussia with a bored expression.
"You do not even really understand anything that I am saying do you?" Prussia asked.
England just titled his head to the side and let out a loud meow.
'Great, he even has a mind of a cat.' Prussia thought.
Prussia walked over to the broken wand that was lying on the floor and looked at it. The star that had been on the staff had shattered into such tiny pieces that it was hard to imagine that it was once in the shape of a star. The staff itself was snapped clean in half, but at least it was in a better condition than the shatter star. England just walked over to the broken staff and started to paw at it. The staff rolled away and England's eyes lit up as he batted at the stick.
"Oh no, that is not a toy!" Prussia yelled out as he picked England up.
The cat struggled in Prussia's grasp obviously displeased at the fact that its fun had been cut short.
"Come on let's get out of here." Prussia said.
He left the room and closed the door behind him as he carried the cat to his room. He needed to gather up the pieces of the broken wand and get the book, but he couldn't do that with England treating the wand like it was his own personal cat toy. Prussia opened the door to his room and walked in before he quickly closed the door behind him. Gilbird chirped happily at Prussia's presence, but the little bird fell silent when it saw the cat.
"Hey Gilbird I accidentally turned England into a cat." Prussia said as he placed the cat down on his bed.
Prussia tried to ignore the fact that he sounded utterly insane by saying he turned a nation into a cat. Gilbird walked across the bed and over to England. England just reached out and poked the bird with his paw, and much to Prussia's relief he kept his claws sheathed. Every time England poked the bird Gilbert would let out a little chirp. England seemed completely absorbed in this task, and Gilbert didn't seem to mind. Prussia was just glad that England wasn't trying to hurt the bird.
"Right, I'm going back to the basement I'll be right back. If England tries to attacks just fly away." Prussia said.
Gilbird ignored his owner and continued focus it's attention on the orange and white cat. Prussia sighed as he left the room and started to make his way toward the kitchen. Hopefully with any luck England had some plastic bags that he could keep the broken wand in. As Prussia searched around the kitchen for a bag or something that he could store the shattered wand in he noticed what looked like big black lumps of charcoal sitting on a baking sheet. It took him a couple of seconds to realize that the charcoal was really crumpets.
For a few seconds Prussia thought it might be a good thing that England was a cat since that meant that he didn't have to eat England's deadly food, but he quickly shook the thought from his head and pulled a zip lock bag out from a cabinet. He made his way into the basement and once he was there he picked up all of the broken parts of the wand and placed them into the bag. Once all of the parts where in the bag he zipped it closed and grabbed the book. He made his way back to his bedroom and when he opened the door he was surprised to see England lying on his side with Gilbird snuggled up against him. When England saw Prussia he meowed and got up before he quickly scrambled over to Prussia. Once he was at England he started to purr and rub up against Prussia's legs.
"You're pretty affectionate aren't you?" Prussia said.
He leaned down and scratched England behind the ear for a few seconds before he stood up straight and walked over to his nightstand. He placed the book and the bag down on the nightstand before he sighed.
"What the heck am I supposed to do now?" Prussia muttered.
He could feel England pawing at his leg and he looked down to see the cat batting at a piece of string that was hanging off of his pants. Prussia just ripped the string off of his pants and held it above the cat's head. The cat happily batted at the string and Prussia moved it about just to keep the cat amused. While it was cute to see the little cat play it didn't help him relax any. Prussia had absolutely no idea on how to turn England back to normal. He didn't know a thing about magic, and half of the spells in the book where absolute gibberish that he didn't understand. England was the only one who really understood magic, but the guy had the mind of a cat now so he wasn't any help.
What other nations could use magic? Prussia racked his brain, but he couldn't think of one off the top of his head. When it came to the magic like this no one really believed in it. The closest the other nations could get to performing magic was by doing card tricks. Prussia kept thinking about the nations, until it finally hit him. He knew two nations who might be able to help him out.
"Romania and Norway are always talking about magic and stuff when they talk to England so maybe they can turn England back to normal." Prussia said to himself.
England used this brief moment of distraction to yank the string out of Prussia's hand, but once he had the string it stopped moving and England immediately lost interest in it. Prussia just grinned as he picked the Scottish fold up and looked into his big green eyes.
"England, I think the awesome me just figure out how I can turn you back to normal." England just started at him and meowed in confusion.
Prussia just ignored this and continued to smile. Tomorrow Prussia would talk with Romania and Norway and with any luck they would be able to turn England back into his normal grumpy self…..
Prussia woke up the next morning only to be slightly disappointed to see that England was still a cat. However, he just shook the disappointment off and smiled when he thought of the fact that Norway and Romania would probably be able to get him back to normal. He left the cat at England's home, but he brought the book and the broken wand with him to the meeting with him. He even made it to the meeting early. When he got to the conference room Romania and Norway where already there and they were talking to each other.
"Hey Romania and Norway!" Prussia called out as he walked toward them.
They both looked at and Romania just smiled at him and said "Hello Prussia, is there something that you need?"
"Yeah, I need to talk to you two once the meeting is over." Prussia said.
"What do you need to talk about, and why can't you talk about it now?" Norway asked.
"It's sort of complicated, and it's something that the other nations don't need to hear about." Prussia said quietly enough so that only Romania and Norway can hear him. "However, I will say that it involves England and magic."
The two nations' eyes glanced at each other before they looked back at Prussia.
"Alright, we'll listen to what you have to say." Norway said.
Prussia started to grin a little when he heard that. They would listen to him now all he had to do was hope that they believed his story.
"Alright then, I'll talk to you after the meeting." Prussia said before he walked away.
He walked over to Germany and smiled a little when he saw that Italy was happily clinging onto German nations' arm.
"Hey West, England's not coming in toady." Prussia said.
The German man just stared at his brother before he asked "Why is he not coming in?"
"He was feeling under the weather so he couldn't make it." Prussia said.
A complete and total lie, but it's not like Prussia could tell him the truth. His brother would never believe Prussia if he told him that he turned the English nation into a cat.
Germany sighed a little before he said "Alright, thank you for telling me this."
Prussia just nodded his head before he walked away and over to Spain and France. His two friends happily greeted him and Prussia smiled at them, but in the back of his mind he couldn't help but hope that this meeting would end quickly…..
The meeting went on as usual even without England's presence there. Everyone still fought, chattered, and annoyed the heck out of each other just like every other meeting. At the start of the meeting Germany had informed everyone that England was sick so he wouldn't be coming in today. That more or less settled everyone's curiosity about why England was not there, and no one asked any more questions. Prussia spent his time talking to his two friends, but while he seemed to be paying attention to the conversations the truth was his mind was a mile away right now.
He was so busy thinking about the cat England that it was a miracle that he was even paying attention at all. When the meeting ended Spain and France invited him to come with them to a pub, but Prussia had to decline and promised them that he would go to the pub with them on Friday. His friends seemed a little concerned about the fact that their friend had declined the offer to get some beer, but after promising them that he was okay they finally left. Once everyone was gone Prussia walked over to Norway and Romania who were sitting at the table waiting for him.
Once he reached them Prussia sighed before he said "OK, so I happened to find England's basement full of magic junk and I started reading his magic book and fiddling with magic wand."
Prussia reached into his bag and pulled out the book and the bag with the broken staff. He placed both of the items down on the table and Norway just rose in eyebrow in confusion.
"I accidentally chuckled the wand at England when he came into the basement which caused the wand the break." Prussia explained.
He sighed a little before he said "I also accidentally turned England into a cat."
Prussia waited for the shouts of disbelief or anger to start up, but that didn't happen. The two nations just looked at him with calm expressions on their faces. They looked like Prussia had told them about the weather rather than about the fact that he turned their friend into a cat.
"So what kind of cat is he?" Romania asked.
"Wait, that's all you have to say? I figured you would either be angry or not believe me." Prussia said.
"These things happened sometimes." Romania said. "Once I accidentally turned Norway into a Daubenton's bat."
Norway just grimaced before he said "Please don't remind me about that."
Romania just smiled and said "Oh it wasn't that bad you were only stuck like that for a week."
Norway just shook his head and said "That is a week I would rather not remember."
Romania just chuckled before he looked back at Prussia. "Anyway, being turned into an animal isn't an uncommon thing so don't worry about it."
Prussia felt a little relived to hear that they at least had experience when dealing with things like this. However, Norway didn't look overly happy as he picked up the bag that held England's broken wand.
"This wand is quite badly broken and it might take a while to fix it." Norway said.
Romania's smile disappeared and he said "Yeah, I almost forgot about that."
"Are you going to need the wand?" Prussia asked.
"We might need it to break the spell. Honestly, we'll never know until he figure out what spell was used." Romania said.
"You'll be able to fix it right?" The Prussian asked.
"We should be able to. I think I know an elf who could help us out." Norway said.
Prussia knew he was talking about his mythical friends, but he decided to say nothing about it. He turned England into a cat so honestly anything was possible at this point in time.
"We would like to see England first." Romania said. "Seeing him and the effects of the curse could help us get a better idea of what we are dealing with."
"Alright, let's go then." Prussia said as he started to walk away. Romania picked the book up and Norway stashed the wand into his suit pocket before they both followed the white haired male out of the building…..
When the three men got to England's house Prussia quietly led them into the living room.
"England?" Prussia called out.
The cat didn't appear and Prussia just sighed as he called out "Here kitty, kitty, kitty!"
England quickly appeared at this and he let out a loud meow as he walked over to Prussia and rubbed up against his legs. The cat's purr was as loud as an engine on a motor boat and after rubbing up against Prussia he stood on his hind legs and grabbed his pants with his front claws. The Scottish fold meowed at Prussia as if to say "Come on pick me up."
Prussia picked the cat up, and once the cat was in his arms he bumped his head against Prussia's head.
"He has the mind of a cat." Prussia explained to the other two nations.
Romania just grinned as he watched the orange and white cat continue to purr away without a care in the world.
"He's really affectionate. I thought he would be really grumpy and wouldn't let anyone touch him." Romania said.
"Scottish Fold cats are supposed to be affectionate." Norway said.
"How do you even know that?" Romania asked.
Norway ignored the question and just held his arms out toward Prussia. Prussia carefully handed the cat over to Norway and while England was slightly confused by the fact that he was handed over to another person, but he didn't seem to mind. Norway just stared at the cat and the cat just stared back at him. After a few minutes had passed Norway handed the cat back over to Prussia.
"I don't sense anything really wrong with him, but the fact that he has the mind of a cat is concerning." Norway said.
"Yeah, it might take awhile for us to figure out how he ended up like this." Romania said.
"Just how long are we talking here?" Prussia asked.
"A couple of weeks." Norway answered.
"Give or take a day or two." Romania added. "You'll have to take care of him until we can turn him back to normal. Also, we need to exchange phone numbers so that you can contact us in case something happens."
"Why do I have to take care of him?" Prussia asked.
"You turned him into a cat so it's your responsibility." Norway answered.
Prussia sighed before he placed England down on the couch and pulled his phone out of his pocket. It was his fault as unawesome as it was to admit it so he did have to take responsibility for this. As he exchanged numbers with Romania and Norway he tried to stay positive about this.
'It's only for a little while, and besides how hard could it be to take care of England?' Prussia thought.
Although Prussia didn't know it at the time taking care of England was going to be harder then he thought, and he would soon regret ever thinking that the job would be simple or easy…..
Info Time!
Daubenton's bat: This bat is a medium sized to small sized bat that has fluffy fur is brownish-grey on the back and silvery-grey on the underside. They can be found in a number of places one of the places happens to be Norway.
England the affectionate cat: At first I was going make England a grumpy cat, but after doing some research about Scottish folds and after thinking about it for awhile I decided to make him pretty affectionate cat. I have two reasons for this.
1. Scottish fold cats are considered good "people" cats with a temperament that is generally sweet, bright and quiet with an easy-going nature. They are rather calm and perfectly fine with extend handling. While there are expectations to the rule, most of them are pretty friendly lap cats. Since England has the mind of a cat right now I figure he would have the typical Scottish fold behavior.
2. I based him off of my own cat. While my cat is not a Scottish fold she is very affectionate, and she loves to be held. She also loves to bump or rub her head against the head of anyone who is holding her. Also, it doesn't take much to get her to start purring. Some cats love attention, and my cat happens to be one of them.
Take these two things and add them together and you got England cat's personality. Also, as a fun fact when a cat rubs his face on you (or he head butts you), he is "marking" you as his property. If you want to imagine that England cat is pretty much telling the rest of the world that he owns Prussia go right ahead because that's essentially what he is doing.
England's transformations: I have had a few people ask what counts as transformations and what doesn't. So to help out I made a list of transformations that count. I may add more to the list, and if you can think of any transformations that you would like to see please say so in your review.
Here are the transformations that count:
Cat!England
Angel!England
2P!England
Sweet Devil!England
Fem!England
Snake!England
Mochi!England (I have no clue if I'll actually use this one, but I'll see if I can fit it in somehow.)
RabbitChild!England (Yes, the kid England with rabbit ears counts. I'm going to say he counts because he has the rabbit ears which means he's not just a younger version of England. So for everyone wondering if he would be here don't worry he will show up.)
Also, I would like to state yet again that I will not be doing any England's from different timelines. Just to give a few examples of what I mean here is a list of Englands that do not count.
Englands that do not count are:
Pirate!England
Punk!England
DarkMagician!England (It's interesting, but I think in the long run this is just normal England. England already does magic so I don't think this is much of a difference between regular England and this.)
Hetaoni!England (This is just regular England trapped in a really bad situation who may or may not be blind depending on what timeline you ripped him out of. Interesting idea, but no he does not count.)
Anyway, I'll try and get the next chapter out as soon as possible so please review and don't flame.
