Kiba, Hinata, Shikamaru, Naruto, and Sakura were on their way to the Hokage's office. Hinata was clinging to Kiba's jacket while Kiba had an arm around her shoulders in comfort. It was really hard for her to hear that her little sister had been kidnapped.

"The nerve of Sasuke, honestly." Naruto growled out.

"That doesn't help us now," Shikamaru said while they were approaching the front doors of her office, "we just have to tell the Hokage what happened and hope she doesn't break everything; including us. Man, what a drag."

"He still didn't need to do that." Sakura muttered as Shikamaru knocked respectfully on the door.

"Enter." Shikamaru opened the door and entered the office, followed quickly by everyone else.

"Sorry it took so long." Kiba said with an edge to his voice. He was still pissed.

"Where's Sasuke?" She asked when she saw the absence of the raven haired ninja.

"That's why we're late." Kiba growled out. He still had his arms around Hinata, and when he felt her start to shake, he calmed down immediately and looked down at her.

"Sasuke didn't give a damn about what the mission was for. When Hinata lost it and charged at him, he grabbed her and held her to the ground with a kunai to her neck and wouldn't let her go unless one of us came and got her." Shikamaru spat out like it was poison on his tongue. He never really minded Sasuke, but now he just flat out hated him. The lazy ninja always had a soft spot for Hinata, as if she were his little sister or something.

"I'll talk to him later. For now, Sakura, Na-"

"What's the mission, grama!" Naruto shouted at her.

"IF YOU WOULD SHUT UP A MINUTE, I'LL TELL YOU!" Naruto shrank back, as did the others in the room. Kiba's arm tightened around Hinata when he felt her shaking more.

"Lady Hokage, sorry, but you're scaring Hinata." Kiba said with a firm, yet cautious voice. Tsunade looked at Hinata and saw her cowering in Kiba's jacket.

"Sorry Hinata." She sat in her chair. "Anyways, Kiba, Hinata, Naruto, Shikamaru, Sakura, your mission is to go and rescue Hanabi Hyuga."

"Wait, why is Hinata coming then? Wouldn't she be a person of interest to the people that kidnapped her sister?" Sakura asked.

"Normally I wouldn't agree to having Hinata go along, but she said she would follow the team that went, and Kiba doesn't want to leave her alone, but I need him and Akamaru for this mission. So the only way I can get Kiba and Akamaru is to let Hinata go with. He wouldn't trust anyone I offered to have look after her. Not even his own parents." She sent a curious look towards Kiba, only to realize he was only focused on soothing Hinata, who still had her head buried in his jacket.

"That makes sense, I guess." Naruto said thoughtfully.

"But why us for this mission, Lady Tsunade?" Sakura asked politely.

"Honestly, you two were the only other ones available," Sakura sweatdropped, "Shino is on another mission or his bugs definitely would have been useful, Ino's sick, or her mind switching technique would have come in handy-" Shikamaru interrupted before she could continue.

"When she used that last time, she almost got indirectly choked to death." He thought back to their last mission with Choji. The men they were after were apart of a suicide-assassination group. They didn't care if they had to sacrifice their own men for the sake of success, so when they realized that her mind-body transfer jutsu had one little flaw, they used it against her.

When the person she switched with was hurt, the same damage would go to Ino's body as well. So they started choking the body that she was switching with, which caused Ino's body to stop breathing as well. She had nearly died, and if it hadn't been for Choji coming in at the last minute, she would have.

"Right. Well, either way." She cleared her throat before continuing. "Also, Sakura, Naruto, you two can be quite the team when you put your minds to it."

"So do we know who took her?" Sakura asked.

"Sound ninja." Hinata spoke for the first time since getting there. Everyone turned to her and saw that she was still clinging to Kiba, but she was looking at them. Kiba kept his arm around her, he was as close to letting go as Hinata was.

"According to Hinata's father, they headed southwest after escaping the complex. That's where you all will go. Kiba, I need Akamaru to smell something of Hanabi's."

"No problem." Tsunade took out a piece of clothing that had been ripped when she had been taken and set it down in front of Akamaru for him to smell.

"You all will be leaving for this mission as soon as you all pack. I suggest in the next half hour. Time is of the essence." The hokage told them. Shikamaru, Sakura, and surprisingly Naruto bowed respectfully, while Kiba was still occupied with comforting Hinata.

"Akamaru, come on." Kiba said after he got done sniffing the clothing. The small dog barked and trotted back to Kiba.

"Dismissed."
