Their claws raked deep, bloody trenches in his forearms. They cawed and snapped and tried to gouge out his eyes, tearing off beakfuls of skin and muscle. His avian lover cried out in fear as blood dripped onto the hay. He sobbed and begged for his brethren to stop, but they were relentless. Though it felt like hours that the poor Hylian was being shredded by the flock of chickens, it was only a few minutes before he stopped fighting and lay still. His attackers dispersed, leaving Link with exposed bone and covered in blood.
