Leto ll Atreides had his doubts about the destiny of the Empire and of all humanity in the Galaxy. Which, he always thought several times about his next act, as now proclaimed Emperor of the Galactic Empire Padishah, had a huge duty that fell on his hands, a test of responsibility as the greatest leader of all mankind in space.
It had happened at intervals of seconds in the past.
What had happened, happened several years ago. When the current Emperor Padishah, Paul Atreides, had assumed command of the Empire after completing the Battle of Arrakeen and defeating the Harkonnen and Shaddam IV in the palace, a plot was started to dethrone Paul from the Golden Lion Throne and thus recover the Empire to its former glory. Which they were successful, but they were caught and executed. As for Paul, blinded by the assassination attempt, but using his mind's ability to feel the objects around him, he decided to embrace the tradition of the Fremen when a blind and dying man is determined to end his life, they choose to walk by the desert and congregate Shai-Hulud, which, Paul did.
After Paul's disappearance in the desert of Arrakis, the government of the Empire passed to the regency of his sister, Alia, being she as the supreme sovereign, while the twins Leto and Ghanima, who had both been born prematurely after his mother, Chani, died in childbirth. They just had to wait for the twins to come of age and become the successors to the Throne of the Padishah Empire. Not realizing that Alia was falling into the alter ego on the side of her other blood, the Harkonnen.
While the years of the regency of Alia lasted in the palace, the planet Arrakis underwent an ecological change, making desert deserts disappear and preventing the sand worms from disappearing little by little, thus destroying the spice.
At that moment, an unknown figure wrapped in rags known to the Fremen people as the Preacher criticized the political and religious forms that the current government ruled over Dune. Those appearances on the enigmatic figure provoked some discussions between the Fremen, arriving to suppose that the identity of the Preacher was the own Muad'Dib that had returned of the desert to teach them the changes that were happening in Arrakis. Having the city guard mobilize the troops to find him.
With the recognition of Alia being possessed by her alter ego, and that the twins are not manifesting that possession, Paul's mother, Jessica, agrees to a plan to escape the palace and protect the twins. Before leaving, Leto agrees to a plan with the Fremen leader, Stilgar, to take care of his sister in case of an attempt on his life.
After an assassination attempt by the possessed Alia that had little success. Jessica escapes to the desert with the help of ghola Duncan Idaho, where they are grouped with a group of fremen rebels to carry out the rebellion. Leto says goodbye to his twin sister and runs into the desert in search of the Preacher to get some answer on how to avoid the fall of the Empire. While they were in Salusa Secundus, the former center of Corrino's government, Duncan and Jessica tried to reach an agreement with Shaddam IV's granddaughter, Wensicia, to help them in their cause. Wensicia reached an agreement with both of them: that Jessica would educate her son, Farad'n, to be an excellent leader, and that she too, marry Leto's sister, causing both rival Houses to leave their differences and prosper. in harmony. Which was agreed and the pact was sealed.
As for Leto, he was taken by surprise by outlaws in the desert and taken to a cavern. In that room, Gurney Halleck, one of Paul's former teachers and member of the rebels, had Leto submit to the trance of spices so he could see what Paul was trying to find. Being induced, Leto could see a lot of futures where humanity fell into decay, but saw a single one where humanity remained standing, for which Paul decided to abandon it.
With that revelation seen, Leto decided to take over the unfinished work of his father to do it himself.
The first thing he did to make possible the unfinished dream of his father. Leto underwent a genetic change through the sand trout, obtaining a superhuman strength, an improvement of the mind and an incredible speed, which used to move through the desert.
During his career, he finally managed to meet the Preacher, only to remain puzzled, revealing that the enigmatic figure was Paul Atreides himself. After a long conversation about how he survived and what happened several years ago in the royal palace, and how Paul decided to leave the Golden Path because of the risk that this alternative had.
Leto understood how he felt that his father felt pressured by having a great weight that meant a great responsibility to save all the humans that made up the Empire in the Galaxy. It was risky, but it was the only option to make it possible.
With father and son reecontrados during the years in which they had never been seen, they decided that it was time to face the threat immediately. Now it was all or nothing.
With the arrival of both to the capital, the confrontation began, which destroyed the total control of the Empire and of all humanity in the Galaxy.
The battle for the power of Arrakis was over. Paul had died, revealing the identity in front of his sister and the others. Alia, freed from the possession of her alter ego Harkonnen and thanks to the mental abilities improved by her nephew, decided to commit suicide. His mother tried to make him reconsider and live to correct his mistake, but Alia ignored him and committed suicide.
With the death of his aunt and his father. Leto declares himself Emperor of Dune, assuming full control of the Empire and all the worlds in the Galaxy, also having the armies of House Corrino.
To make a difference, Leto decided to marry his sister to maintain a blood bond for the following generations, having Farad'n as Ghanima's concubine, so that both rival families could live in prosperity.
Now Leto had serious doubts about the new order that had been established during the last years of his coronation. He was afraid that, sooner or later, his father's lost dream would fall apart. He knew perfectly well that he was only halfway through the Golden Path to guarantee autonomy for all humanity. You only needed to go a little further to get on the step. There must be something to take the next step.
Think about it several times. Leto decided on Kwisatz Haderach's abilities to access the astral plane and search for the answer, accessing the Golden Path.
The first thing he felt when he separated from his physical body was like swimming in such a wide sea of natural waters that enveloped his body, but instead of water, there was a large space of shines with dark blue tones. As he moved forward, he could feel a kind of overwhelming force catching him and not letting go. Leto decided to use his great strength to get out, but the pressure of the unknown energy was higher.
The mere sensation of being wrapped in an unknown mass, made him feel weak, and at the same time, frightening.
With a strong push, the unknown force took Leto deeper, leaving him in an unknown area. Leto tried to use his senses to find a way out, but he did not succeed. The area where it was was completely dark with purple glitters. A great essence of evil and hatred spread throughout the space where he was. A sense of fear brushed his entire body. I was going to die.
A great mowing light illuminated the darkness, making Paul's son close his eyes to avoid being blind.
When he opened them, he was sitting in a comfortable chair. He saw around him, instead of the dark area where the dark masses were, he was in what looked like a representation of space, with shining stars and nebulae of different colors. But most shocking, were the huge, gigantic gold doors in front of him, something he had never seen before.
The strangest thing about the huge golden doors was the statue of a young man with long hair that covered the left side of his face. Its position was similar to being in the form of a cross, as if it were protecting something that should not be released, which perceived a great amount of powerful energy behind the enormous doors and structure of the young man.
As if the weird did not end. A light sprang from the young man's statue. The stone surfaces were replaced by a strange dress that consisted of black pants and shirts, with a white shirt inside the shirt and jet-colored tie. Around the neck were silver headphones and a red tag with a word described as 'S.E.E.S' on the right arm. Another thing that caught Leto's attention was his rebellious blue hair and gray eyes, who looked directly at him with a stoically calm expression.
"So you must be the son of Paul Atreides, Leto ll Atreides." The blue-haired young man said in a monotone voice.
Leto did not know what to say. Everything was strange to him. Including that the young man knows his name if the situation becomes even stranger.
"How do you know my name?". Leto replied, keeping calm in front of the blue haired boy.
"I can feel your father's essence about you, which, you inherited the powers of the Kwistaz Haderach, just as he did"
Leto blinked.
"Do you know him?" He said confused.
"He was here when he separated his mind from his physical body, he was dragged by his power into this realm where you are, he was looking for a solution to avoid the collapse of human society in the Galaxy, he told me when we were talking"
