"Oh, come on, Rae!"
Raven peered up from today's read to glare up at the green changeling calling for her, exasperated.
Beast Boy grinned widely back, holding a gaming controller high in one hand, Mega Monkeys paused on the TV.
Raven looked back down. "No."
"Oh, come on, Rae!" Beast Boy tried again. "Are you really going to sit there and drink... cha... cha-ma... cha-ma-meel-"
"Ka-mah-meel."
"Right... That... And read that boring book until everyone comes back?!"
"Yes."
Beast Boy whined. "Please..."
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Rae..."
"No."
"RAE RAE RAE RAE RAE RAE..."
Raven huffed loudly. "Fine. One game."
Beast Boy grinned proudly as the dark sorceress glided towards him to sit beside him on the couch. Raven picked up the controller, and resumed the game.
Beast Boy kept his eyes on her however, the pride vanished and replaced with care.
"Hey, Rae,"
Raven kept her sight on the television screen as she moved her virtual character.
"We do have the house to ourselves..."
Raven smiled.
