Welcome back! This is chapter 2. I couldn't get WIFI yesterday so I couldn't post but here it is! I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 2

Caitlin awoke first, the sun rays shielding her view. She rolled sideways when she realized how hot it really was. She coughed sitting up slowly. When her view adjusted to the light, all she saw was sand stretched out into the distance.

She glanced around to find Barry laying in the sand face-up. She crawled over quickly and shook him. "Are you alright Barry?" she asked.

He shut his eyes from the light and sat up. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Where are we?"

"I don't know," she answered. "Do you see Cisco?"

A groan was heard from behind the two. "I'm right here," a voice said tiredly. They turned to face Cisco, who lazily slumped on the ground covering his eyes with his hands. "Where are we?"

Barry and Caitlin both shrugged. "It looks like a desert," Barry said. "Look around, do you see anything?" Cisco squinted to the left when he heard thumping noises.

"Did you hear that?" he asked jumping up.

"What?" Caitlin questioned.

"That thumping sound!" That's when everyone heard it, they were like the clamping of hooves. In the distance came horses and men on top galloping their way through the desert. "What the-"

"Where did horses come from?" Caitlin asked.

"We need to hide!" Barry declared holding his two friends. "Let's go!" He started to run, but at a very slow pace. "What the... my powers aren't looking! The charge is broken!" he tapped the cracked machine attached to his shirt then tested the ear piece. "HR? Can you hear me? HR!" He groaned. "Nothing's working!"

"I have to say, without your powers I bet a turtle could run faster than you!" Cisco chuckled. Barry looked amused and offended.

"Look, the rock over there, we'll hide behind it before they trample us!" Caitlin said guiding them. In a matter of seconds, the men in horses started shouting, laughing and guns came firing off as they passed.

Cisco stared in awe. "Where the hell are we?"

"Should we follow them? We need to get out of here!" Caitlin said scratching her forehead.

"Do we have another choice?" Barry shrugged glancing down at his feet. I really was going to be a long day.

HR peered at the screen to have a message of signal lost. "No! No, no, no!" He threw his drumsticks onto the ground.

Face it, that was totally a Harry move...

He pressed the ear piece. "Barry? Barry?! Hello?!" Suddenly, there were footsteps coming from the hall. He shut the computers off and bent down to grab his drumsticks. Iris stepped in quickly.

"I need to speak with Barry! Where's Barry?" she asked facing HR.

"Um, well, no!" she looked startled.

"Why? Is he fighting some meta human now?"

HR nodded quickly. "Yeah. Yeah, yeah, of course!" There was an awkward pause.

"Okay, just let him know I wanted to talk about a blog I saw online." She then noticed a few more absences. "Where's Cisco and Caitlin? Out as Killer Frost and Vibe helping out?"

HR nodded once more, amazed of how easily it has been. That was pure luck!

"Okay, maybe I could stay and help-"

"No!" he covered his own mouth. "I don't know where they are!" he blurted out. Iris looked confused. HR smiled innocently. So much for a secret!

This wasn't my favorite chapter, but I wanted to get posting. It was short, but I will make them longer! I'll update this one when I have the chance! Anyway, make sure to stick around for more! Thank you!
