Nitamo was slightly confused. Of all the clans in their village, he didn't remember ever hearing the name of Uchiha mentioned. Furthermore, Nitamo had never realized that he'd never actually heard the name of the Omoidekage, he was puzzled by this, and he wondered if anyone else in the village knew the Omoidekage's name. It may have been that everyone knew his name, and it had just never come up as a topic of discussion, or maybe nobody talked about it because they didn't know if being an Uchiha was a good thing or a bad thing.
Nitamo sat across the desk from the Omoidekage, he wasn't sure how he was supposed to take what Lord Uchiha had told him. "Am I supposed to recognize the name of Uchiha from somewhere?" He asked. "Because I am sorry to disappoint you, but I have no recollection of that name." Lord Uchiha waved a hand to dismiss the matter. "Not to worry boy, I didn't expect you to know the name of my clan. They are, after all, not from this land." "Now" Lord Uchiha said. "You have a reason for coming to see me, I assume." "That I do Lord Uchiha" Nitamo replied, clearing his voice before continuing, "I have had a recurring dream that has troubled me for the past while, and I was hoping you could, perhaps, lend your insight to help me figure out what I should learn from it." "Is that so?" The Omoidekage said before repositioning himself in his seat, and leaning on his desk. "And what exactly do you see in this dream?"
Nitamo hoped he wasn't blowing things out of proportion with this dream he had had. He told the Omoidekage about the boy with yellow hair smiling at him from the ship, sailing away from him. The Omoidekage just sat there, listening intently until Nitamo was finished telling his story. He then sighed, and told Nitamo, "I am able to see many things Nitamo. We are all born with the ability to see, using our eyes, but there are many other ways to see. Some are able to change their eyes to see things differently, while others have eyes that are not physical at all. The people with changing eyes are considered the most dangerous of clans. My clan happens to be one of those clans. I am able to change my eyes to control others, and that alone is a very formidable weapon. But there is more to the eye of the Uchiha than just controlling people, Uchiha who are in complete control of their eyes powers can also change fate, and control destiny. I am not familiar with all of the abilities of the Uchihas eye, otherwise known as the sharingan, however I must tell you that although it is a power not to be taken lightly, it is not the greatest of eye abilities. The inner eye I spoke about is, by far, more powerful than any sharingan. This inner eye allows one to see things that no ordinary shinobi could see, not even an Uchiha."
"I have seen many things in my life." He continued. "With the eyes I was born with I have seen myself grow to adulthood and beyond. With my sharingan I have seen battles won and battles lost. But my greatest accomplishment in life has been awakening my inner eye that can show me the events of the past, the present, and the future." "I see in your past a war-torn family, in your present, a successful life, and in your future, I see a land far from this one."
The Omoidekage walked to the door and opened it to usher Nitamo out while saying "Return here tomorrow and I shall point you in the right direction" "Right direction?" Nitamo questioned. "What do you mean by 'right direction'?" "That's exactly what you are coming here tomorrow for." The elderly man said matter-of-factly.
