"Greetings Mr Wright," said the figure after Phoenix woke up.
"Who are you?" he managed to say, still feeling a bit groggy after him fainting.
"Oh did I not introduce myself?" the figure seemed a bit startled by the fact. Maybe he is used to being recognised "My name is Thanatos, although you mortals prefer to call me Death. You're probably wondering why I called you out here, surprisingly enough it wasn't to kill you. You see when I lead people off into the afterlife, I get to know them and there are two things I like: leading souls who know there time was up and giving inhumane people what they deserve."Maya managed to pipe up,
"So what did you want us for, then?"
"Good question," he replied "I would like your help, upholders of justice." Phoenix noticed a tone of appreciation in his voice at the end, enough to know he meant what he said. "I would like to join forces, to rid the world of the mad killers it has at large. I believe there is a man who favours red that is your friend and also a green-coated detective, I have already talked to them and they eventually agreed." Great thought Phoenix I have Edgeworth and Gumshoe to help me with this guy as well.
"We'll help" said Phoenix and Maya simultaneously, stifling a laugh.
"Very well," boomed Death "I shall contact you when your job takes hold; try not to get any giant cases until then."
Back at Phoenix's office, the pair was preparing to get back to sleep, when the phone rang. It was Edgeworth. Phoenix picked up the phone to answer.
"Edgeworth, hello."
"Wright, I see you have met the impromptu new member of our team."
"Yes, I guess I have."
