Accio

"Fuck!" I swore under my breath as I tripped over my slippers and fell to the floor.

I hissed, the flaring pain in my toe overriding my instinct to be quiet.

Dean shifted in his bed, before rising and giving me an annoyed look. "Harry? What're you doing still up?"

The rest stayed asleep. Ron's snoring had not abated for a second.

He always was a heavy sleeper.

"Sorry." I apologized in quiet tones, thinking quickly. "I was going to the bathroom and tripped."

Dean nodded, rubbing at his forehead and sinking back into his bed as I got back up.

Short, and silent breaths.

I watched the boy relax back into his bed as the minutes slowly crawled by.

"Don't let them suspect." I thought to myself as I slowly donned my father's Invisibility Cloak and made my way out of Gryffindor Tower.

My steps were short, but purposeful.

Though I had silenced my feet with a wave of my trusty holly wand, I still tiptoed my way to where the Goblet of Fire was being kept.

The Goblet of Fire stood proudly, its blue flames shifting and swaying due to the displacement of the air it used as fuel.

I stared at it hungrily.

I still remembered Riddle's words to me at the end of my first year at this school. It really was all about power.

"And I flourish under the pressure and threat of death." I nodded to myself. It made perfect sense.

I reached for it, my hands stopping short at the invisible barrier.

I stared down at Dumbledore's Age Line.

Power was beyond reach; or, so I would have said, if I weren't stupid.

For all his greatness, Dumbledore truly was as much of a fool as Riddle was.

My wand sprung into my waiting hand, its warmth suffusing into me.

Comforting. Powerful.

"Accio." I incanted. The cup flew to my waiting hands.

These wizards never thought outside of the box.

Age Lines were meant to keep people from coming inside. They were never meant to stop something from coming out.

With some amusement, I placed a piece of parchment with my name on it in the flames. The Goblet accepted my name the exact same way it did with the others who had done the same.

Swish and flick. "Wingardium Leviosa."

I put the Goblet back on its pedestal, and went back to the dormitories.

Too easy.
