2. Immobilized by Fire

(Run! Run! Run!)

He wills her to run, but she stands there, immobolized as she watches the scene unfold. He wants to scream, to yell, but she will not hear. She was too far, too far away – and even if she heard, she wouldn't listen. She never listened.

And he stands there, immobolized too, as he watches her go up in flames. He watches the fire caress her body, kissing her with only pain.

And then he is on fire, too. But there is no pain – no misery. He only cares about her right now – about the girl on fire.
