Few weeks after their first meeting, Kevin and Alice had become close friends; Alice discovered that Kevin had a sweet tooth so every day they met and played, sometimes at Alice's place or sometimes at Kevin's place, she gave him lollipops.

There was one time Kevin invited Sharon and Reim to play with them. Sharon treated Alice as if a little sister, even though Alice complained about that. Reim told Alice that whenever he was with Kevin, the latter was always talking about how cute she looks when she's angry (receiving a smack in the head from Kevin).

It was autumn, and many people were excited. The little ones were young teenagers, Kevin was 17, Alice was 13, Sharon was 15 and Reim was 16. As time flows, humans also flow… A year ago, Alice was loudly crying on 2 graves. The names: Lacie and Levy Baskerville…

When Alice turned 12, she overheard her mother and her father talking about Blood Seals, and about Contractors turning humans into Chains. And a few days later, her parents told her to always live strong and always to trust her friends, and to never forget that her parents love her. In the other day, when she woke up, they weren't there anymore. And during the night, she receives a letter saying that her parents were dead and the letter had the graveyard's coordinates. The police never managed to find out how they died and who sent her the letter.

She cried a lot, her friends where there for her and she did her best to move on with her life.

She was a youngling now, her hair reached her ankles yet she was still naïve and innocent as always. Also, she created a giant obsession about meat.

But she isn't the only that changed, even if you can't believe it, Reim and Sharon were dating. And that once little Reim, became a master with pistols and revolvers.

Sharon became the heir to the title of 'Duchess Rainsworth' and had her Ceremony of Age. However, due to her young age and the many responsibilities that she would have, her grandmother was still on the top. Sadly, her mother passed away was well, due to an illness.

And Kevin… he became a skilled swordsman, and his hair was longer. He became more silent as well; but Reim told Alice something about being an emo.

Alice was with Kevin on the park, sitting nearby the swings, she was smiling but Kevin noticed that something was wrong.

"That day's coming, uh…" Sighed Alice, she seemed weird to Kevin, despite the smile. "Now I remember, tomorrow is the day to take flowers!"

Fully, 'taking flowers' meant 'leaving flowers on Lacie and Levy's grave'; "Wow, now I feel stupid! How didn't I remember that today is the day when Alice's parents died?! Not only I feel stupid, but also like a bad friend…"

"Kevin…" Alice called him with a low tone, "Huh?" Whenever Alice spoke in a low tone, it only meant one thing: "Can you go with me, to place flowers at my parents' grave?" she was really sad, and whenever she was like that, he felt worst for not being able to help her.

"Yeah, sure…" He noticed that Alice frowned even more. Alice wasn't the type that got depressed. She was very loud spoken and active, 'Alice' and 'sadness' simply weren't made for each other.

He pulled her into a hug, much to her surprise "What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you?" Unable of restraining herself, Alice buried her face on his chest, while Kevin softly patted her head. "Don't worry; we're here for you, so move on, okay?" He received a nod from the little sobbing girl.
