File 2: Interrogation

Piltover Police Department - Holding Cells - 8:45 AM

Abraham was holding his head as he came through, his back and neck popping after sleeping on what essentially was a metal plate. He looked around his cell, a stone cold concrete box, standard 6x8 feet, faded paint, sink and toilet in the corner, a single reinforced cell door and a single book on the bed, the bible. He walked up to the door and looked through the bars, seeing the guards going through their rounds, but obviously avoiding the cell in front of Abraham's, and the reason made itself clear.

Jinx was wailing her death threats until she looked across the hall, her eyes meeting his for a moment until she started yelling "Wait until i get my hands on you copper! I'll kill you! Do you hear me Kill y-" Abraham wasn't even listening to her at this point, instead he was making his way back to the bed and taking a seat, his mind going back to the crime. He was thinking on the kidnapped champions, then the failed kidnap attempt from last night. Then he thought out loud "I need more pieces..."

Piltover Police Department - Interrogation Room No.3 - 8:50 AM

Caitlyn entered the interrogation room, her body running on as much coffee as she could get into her system. Seated on the opposite side of the room was Kai'sa, chained to her chair and the floor like some animal. Caitlyn simply walked up to her and said in a mildly frustrated and dry tone "Alright let's skip the formalities, we know each other and have worked together so let's cut the crap. Why did you run away from the League after they declared a full background check and for everyone to stay? And don't test my patience Kai'sa... I'm not in the mood."

Kai'sa looked at Caitlyn, examined her briefly before answering "I had to go make sure of somethings before being kept under watch for the next few days..." Caitlyn was tapping her foot impatiently, asking in a cruel and cold tone "Then why did we find you, Jinx and that man at the industrial part of town, along with Urgot half dead inside. If you ask me or any jury in court they will say you were doing vigilante work, and that would also connect you to Jinx, assisting a criminal in the process."

Kai'sa sighed, then replied in a bored tone "What i did is my business "Officer", i went to get help, and ended up helping out in saving a Champion from being kidnapped, said champion being Jinx." Caitlyn watched as Kai'sa closed her eyes and sit back, remaining silent for the rest of the Interrogation. Caitlyn knew she wasn't gonna get anywhere and left Kai'sa, heading to the observation room where Vi was waiting. Caitlyn picked up her cup of coffee and chugged it down in one go, afterwards asking "What do you think?"

Vi watched in worry as her closest friend finished her 14th cup of coffee, then answered "I don't think Kai'sa is lying, if anything i think we should look into this investigation she did. She found both Jinx and Urgot... And we know both of them don't work together..." Caitlyn sighed and simply said "I was afraid you would say that... Bring the old man in... And get me his-" She stopped when she noticed Vi drifting to sleep, and instead yelled at one of the regular officers "Johnson, get me the file on Abraham Colt."

Vi watched as the officer left then tried to convince Caitlyn with "Cupcake, i can still work, just-" Caitlyn wasn't buying it, instead she replied with "Vi take the rest of the day off, as a favor.. Vi." Vi didn't reply until Caitlyn put her hand on Vi's shoulder. Vi simply responded with "Fine.. But you rest after the interrogations, ok cupcake?" It didn't take much to convince Caitlyn to agree, she simply nodded and watched as Vi left the room and headed to the locker rooms. Caitlyn was interrupted by the officer she sent out telling her "The detective is i the interrogation room next door boss."

Caitlyn nodded and walked over to the room next door, then looked through the one way mirror. Abraham was seated patiently in the empty room, looking around and waiting, one hand rubbing his face while the other tapped on his chair's armrest. Before going in she looked at the desk in the observation room, finding the file she asked for. She picked it up and looked through the file, going over the first few pages with some surprise in her expression as she kept reading. When she had enough information to get a small start did she finally enter the interrogation room itself.

She entered and watched as the detective looked at her, tiered expression meeting a bored one. Caitlyn pulled up a chair and took a seat in front of the detective, asking in her usual stern tone "Abraham Colt, Age 40, graduated from Piltover University at 23 then joined the Piltover Police Department... Joined the League's armed forces at 28... Decorated with the medal of honor and bravery... Fought the Initial Void War... Retired three years ago... Yet here you are..." Abraham didn't even get remotely fazed, he simply cleared his throat and replied "Yeah, that's me... And you are Officer Caitlyn, Piltover's finest... But right now you look like absolute shit."

Caitlyn was obviously offended, but was way too tiered to even acknowledge it. Instead she went straight to business "Last night our League guards found you and Kai'sa at The Dazed Hunter bar. What the league and i would like to know is what did you two talk about?" Abraham chuckled, replying with a smug tone "That's confidential, private matters only she could answer." Caitlyn smiled, stood up and walked around Abraham, watching his reaction as she spoke "Detective, we are on the same side here, Kai'sa isn't in trouble, but in order to confirm that i need information."

Abraham looked at Caitlyn over his shoulder, her tiered smile still lingering on her face. Abraham sighed then spoke in a low tone "Little girl... You are tying to use every trick in the book that i made..." He stood up then looked at her eye to eye, or as close as his height allowed. She was staring up at him as he continued "I won't question your authority, so I'll answer you. Kai'sa and i go way back, we decided to talk for awhile, even if it was brief. Your guards arrived and she didn't want to leave, so i helped her give them the slip."

Caitlyn took her seat then asked "So why was she with you at the old Hextech industrial facility? And how did you find jinx?" Abraham took his seat, loosened his tie then continued "After a while i received a call from one of the locals from 53rd street as the supposed "Jinx Rampage" started, may they rest in peace. She tagged along as i went to search the crime scene, and i do have a solid conclusion." Caitlyn furrowed her brows and asked "You were at 53rd street... And you did your own investigation?"

Abraham sighed, then continued "If you bring my things you will find evidence and photos on the crime scenes. With those i am capable of telling you that... And i can't believe I'm gonna say this, Jinx is innocent of This crime." Caitlyn's smile faded as quickly as the words reached her ears, unable to believe that someone said that about Jinx of all people. Caitlyn however had afew aces up her sleeve, and asked "Okay, so tell me, how did you come to the conclusion that it was Urgot?" However she noticed him smirk then sit up straight, ready to answer her.

"Well i got just two pieces of evidence... The crime scene on 53rd street and the fact that he was found in the industrial facility. Let's start from the beginning, 53rd street, when we arrived at the crime scene i followed all standard procedures, documenting anything of significance, photographing it, and taking samples. Sadly that last one was out of the question due to the rain, but there was still enough to work with." Caitlyn could tell he wasn't bluffing, his words were solid and incorruptible, and his eyes didn't linger on any one fact but instead were focused on the big picture.

However Caitlyn had to ask, and did ask in a cautious tone "Alright, i can see how you came to a conclusion, you have made it clear that you are a capable man. But why would he want to kidnap Jinx? There is no motive" Abraham didn't falter, he replied "Maybe because he got ordered to kidnap her like many of the other missing Champions, wouldn't you agree?" Caitlyn went wide eyed, then asked "How do you know that? No one knows about-" she stopped and it finally clicked, Kai'sa told him.

Caitlyn didn't even bother, she just stood up and spoke in a ice cold tone "You are free to go detective, your car is upfront and your things will be at the front desk, thank you for your cooperation." Abraham watched her, unsure of what she was doing, but obeyed. He got up and walked to the door, before stopping and asking "Can i watch Jinx's interrogation?" Caitlyn simply raised a brow and replied "Interrogation? She's being sent straight to Puboe maximum security prison." Abraham didn't ask a single question, instead he left, no words, no sound except his foot steps.

As he walked down the bustling halls, thinking to himself "I need to talk with Jinx before she is sent away... Caitlyn isn't in the right state of mind, she hasn't rested in over a day, maybe two... And i really need to get something to eat.." As he was thinking a door slammed into his face, making him groan in pain. Vi stood on the other side of the door, cringing as she heard him groan. Vi peeked and saw the detective holding his nose, obviously having broken it. She walked up to him, smiled awkwardly while holding out a tissue and added "heheh sorry about that, didn't know you were there."

Abraham wiped the blood off and gave a small chuckle, saying in a slightly amused tone "Don't worry, happened all the time when i was in the force, no need to apologize for it Vi." Both walked towards the lobby, with Vi leaving the moment she was within proximity to the front door, while Abraham picked his stuff up and waited for a moment. He looked at the front desk, looking at the robot in the generic blue uniform.

He looked at his car outside, then at the robot, then sighed, telling himself "God damn it... I know this is wrong..." then walked to the robot. The robot watched then asked in a prerecorded and static voice "Hello sir, how may i help you?" Thankfully this robot was exactly what Abraham guessed, a simple automated machine, it didn't think. So using this he talked smoothly "I came to pick up a prisoner, Jinx if I'm correct." The detective listened as various whirls and beeps sounded in the head of the Automaton, until it replied "We do have Champion Jinx in our custody, do you have your clearance code?"

Abraham looked around, then answered in a low tone "Of course, just let me get it.." reaching into his coat pocket and showed the Automaton a small bar with a bar code. The robot scanned it then stopped, all sound in it stopping, making Abraham smile then ask "I believe everything is in order?" The automaton replied with "Of course sir, the prisoner will be out back, please bring your vehicle for the pick up. And here..." The robot brought Jinx's guns and continued ".. Are her personal belongings."

Abraham smiled, took the police bag then walked out casually to his car, an orange 1970's Dodge Charger with a blue "01" on the sides. He put the bag in the trunk, along side his other guns then slammed it shut. He got into the driver's seat, inserted the key, turned it then listened as the motor roared to life, making him smile more then drive around the corner then into the alley in the back, leading to a backdoor, where he waited. After roughly ten minutes Jinx was kicked out into the alley and landed in a puddle of dirty rain water, making her swear at the door "Come out here you bucket of bolts! I'll take you apart and-"

She stopped when she heard a car horn then turned, seeing the orange car with the detective sitting in the driver's seat. She looked around then thought "Is he waiting for something..?" He sighed, motioning her to come, making Jinx point at herself, then making Abraham nod. She walked slowly to the car, keeping her eyes on the driver as she reached the front then asked "What do you want? Didn't get enough with throwing me in the slammer?"

Abraham rolled his eyes then asked "Who do you think got you out of the slammer? Now get in, we got afew minutes before Caitlyn finds out you are gone.." Jinx smiled and got in quickly, then praised "Never knew there were crooked cops in this town, now let's go! We gotta-" Abraham cut in and explained "I need information, that's it. If there is any crime you want to commit, then it will be after you speak, understood?" Jinx groaned like some angsty teen and replied "Yesss dad. Now let's go! Mama is starving!"

Abraham removed the handbrake then replied "... I can agree with that last statement." Then drove away towards the slums, leaving the police department without a single clue as to what he did. Jinx was giddy, a record on breaking out of prison, and this time she didn't even do anything. She couldn't help it, she lowered the window, stuck herself out then let out a loud victory cry, before it turned into a maniacal crackle of a laugh. Abraham grabbed her by the back of her shorts and pulled her back in, thinking to himself "What have i done?"
