new update.

The strange silhouette was once again observing her prisoner from behind the mirror. Several times had she considered revealing her identity too him, but it'd do no use. The experiments put too much stress on the human body and mind causing the experience and anything else to be pushed down into the unconscious level, unable to be accessed. He'd been here for a few days now, so the memory loss had long since taken effect. It was unfortunate as she'd hope to see his reaction to her face. The other one was fairing a little better. It was time to check up at that experiment in fact. She got up and left the small room behind the one-way mirror. Stepping into the hall her features came into light and her blonde curly hair was easy to make out. She wore a black pencil skirt and a lavender polo shirt over her womanly figure, all of which were cloaked in a white lab coat. The small heels of her black penny loafers clicked against the white tile floor of the hall as she made her way to the room that was down the hall. Minerva Paradizo opened the door to the roof and looked at her other "guest". The girl looked different than she had when she got here. Upon arrival the little pixie had had long black hair, ivory skin, brown/black eyes, and was only about two feet tall. The last time Minerva had seen her she'd altered the pixie clone's DNA to incorporate human DNA, and it was having a much more preferable result on the fairy than it did on humans. She'd grown considerably, being about four foot eight now, and her hair had gotten shorter, most likely due to the rapid growth of the body in relation to the normal growth of her hair, which was about to her shoulders now. Her eyes weren't open, but according to data they're changed as well. Gone were the black sclera, replaced by human white ones, and a bit of lightening occurred to the extreme dark brown of her iris. Her skin was a little more peachy. Unfortunately a pair of wings had begun to grow from her shoulder blades; they were somewhat purple/blue in hue while being semi-transparent with a pattern that looked like a galaxy and her ears retained a slight point. The wings irked Minerva. She didn't understand them! Pixies didn't have wings and neither did elves, so why were her subjects growing wings when these were the DNA samples she was using?! It didn't make sense… (Unfortunately for Minerva the answer to her pressing question would never be found. The Author decided to give these characters wings because he thought they'd look cool, so everybody gets to blame Sky for this inconsistency in the story.) The blond dismissed the thought and moved on, getting her things in order and recording the results of the Nopal experiment.

"WHAT?!" Holly exclaimed into her communicator. Butler had just gotten through to her and given her the news that Artemis was gone. Holly's mind had jumped to the right place: he'd been kidnapped. Unlike the Fowl family and the Butlers she had found the only logical conclusion to the reason the Fowl boy was not present at home and why they couldn't contact him. Immediately the elf flew to Fowl Manor to try to get things sorted out. She touched down on the front lawn and deactivated her wings. Butler stood on the front steps and approached the fairy officer.

"Anything new since you called?" she asked.

"No. Nothing." He answered. Butler was frustrated by this situation. Like any bodyguard he blamed himself for Artemis's kidnapping. He was supposed to protect the boy and if he' been doing his job then Artemis would still be here.

Holly punched him in the arm, "Don't blame yourself, Butler. Artemis gets himself into plenty of trouble regardless of you trying to stop him. He's 15 but the kid has plenty of enemies."

"I know, but which one would kidnap him?" Butler sighed.

Holly thought for a minute then said darkly, "Maybe it's Opal."

It wasn't a question. It was phrased like one but it didn't sound like one in the least.

"Holly." Foaly's voiced came through her communicator.

She put him on speaker and answered, "What is it, Foaly?"

"I think I found Artemis."

"You think or you know?!" She asked, a little too quickly.

Foaly paused, checking his scanner, "I think. I tried running a DNA trace on him but all I got was interference, so I tried tracking your DNA signature and got two results. There's you, and you're at Fowl Manor. Your signal is strong, but the other one is weak. It would be your eye."

"Well where is it?"

"I was getting to that. The signal is coming from a lone building on an island in the middle of the Pacific."

"I'll get one of the plane's ready and we'll get moving as soon as possible." Butler stated.

Foaly spoke again when Butler was about to go, "No need. I'm on my way to the manor with a shuttle right now."
