Chapter 2

1 year later...

Jack could never get that night out of his head. Every night, when Jack laid down and looked up at the stars, the little girl kept crawling back into his thoughts. He always pictured her sapphire eyes, white hair, and pale face. Even though he tried to think of other things, she always seemed to be the thing that he thought about.

The first night he saw her, he was wandering around with no exact destination. He liked to explore other countries, for he remembered waking up somewhere in America. On that night, he was exploring along the coast of Norway. He had come across a large castle connected to a large kingdom. He flew down to the castle and looked into all the windows. Every window was boring. It either had nothing but furniture and dust, or people sleeping. Just before he left, one small thing caught his eye. He came across a window, where a sapphire-blue gleam of light flashed through. He walked over to the window and peered in. He saw a sleeping baby in a crib inside that room. One look at the baby girl, and he found himself lost in the thought of a beautiful world of ice and magic. He knew from the time he looked at her, they shared one thing-the power of ice magic.

Ice Magic. The simple thing that the two shared. Jack was so lost in thought, he didn't realize that time was running out. He didn't want to leave, but he had no choice. But before he fled, he promised that girl one thing. He would come back.

Jack found himself flying back to the same castle. He wanted to see her. He felt as if if he didn't see her, he would be lost. He flew as fast as he could to reach her. When he finally got to the old castle, he stood on the ledge outside her bedroom window. Last year, he thought, on this day, was the first time I saw her. Jack slowly opened the window and crept in. He flew over to the side of her bed, which was still a crib. He gazed upon the same pale face he had seen just a year ago. Instantly, he felt a wave of relief go over him. He leaned up against the rail and smiled.

Elsa's eyes fluttered open, revealing her sapphire eyes. She looked up at him with a confused look.

"Hey, it's me, Jack. I told you I'd come back." he whispered. "Remember me?"

She giggled. She stood up and wrapped her arms around his neck. He gripped the bar as he tried to process what happened. He didn't expect her to hug him, but it felt good. He relaxed his shoulders and wrapped his arms around her. His staff fell silently to the floor, making no sound at all. Jack picked her up and held her under her arms.

"Last time I saw you, I asked you for your name. You never said." he whispered.

"E-el-e-e" she tried, for she was only a little over a year old, she couldn't talk well.

"El?" he asked.

"S-sa!" she exclaimed.

He frowned. "El-sa?" he asked.

She nodded vigorously. Jack chuckled. He finally got her name. She finally said something to him.

"Do you remember my name? I told you it about a minute or two ago." Jack said.

"Dada!" she said.

Jack eyes widened. He wasn't her dad. Not even her brother. He was just a friend.

"No, not dada, Jack." he protested.

"Dak." she said.

"Jack. J-ack. Jack." he said slowly.

"Dada Dak!" she giggled.

He sighed. Arguing with a one-year-old was pointless. Jack brought her closer and held her like he did last time. She kept hold of his finger as she drifted off to sleep. Jack paced around her crib until the sun rose. Once the sun came up, he carefully set her back down and gazed at her. She looked up at him.

"Dak..." she said quietly as she fell back asleep.

"Hey, I'll be back soon. I'll see you again. But right now, I have to go." he chocked.

Jack didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay. But he had lots of other things to do. At that time he made the Guardians mad by ruining their stuff, so he was constantly trying to hide from them.

"Bye, Elsa..."

9 months later...

Jack flew back around Norway again to see Elsa. He was there about 9 months ago, and was impatient to see her again. For him, time flew by quick. For her, time flew by a bit he rounded the coast, he came to the castle where Elsa lived. He flew down to the window sill and looked in. Elsa was sound asleep in her crib. It was already dark out, so no one would see a window randomly opening and shutting by itself. Once Jack began to crawl in, he heard,

"Dak!"

Jack looked up to see a slightly bigger Elsa standing in her crib, holding her arms out to him. He smiled and walked over to her crib. Once he got the the side, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. He did the same. He picked her up and held her like a baby, which he always did. She held his hand and giggled.

"Wanna see something cool?" he asked. She nodded.

He carefully lifted himself off the ground and floated. She gasped in awe as he got higher off the ground. He laid back in the air and sat her on his chest. She giggled.

"How dat?" she asked pointing to the ground.

"This?" he asked.

"Mhmm!" she nodded.

"Well, you see, I just can. The moon, that big white circle in the sky," he pointed out the window,"he gave me this power to do this."

She frowned. "I do?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. He laughed.

"No, you cant. Your not able to."

She folded her arms and stuck out her lip. She mumbled something, then changed her expression. She giggled. Jack smiled back. He folded his hands under his head and watched her look around her room. She then started moving. Jack put his hands closer to her so she didn't fall of of him. She laid down on his chest and closed her eyes. She soon drifted off to asleep.

He lowered himself to the ground and put her into her crib. He looked out the window. The sky was already getting lighter as the sun began to come up. He sighed. He'd have to leave again. He touched her hand once more and walked to the window. He opened the glass window and stole one last glance at her, and fled.
