As the doctors worked to save Cheryl's life, chaos ensued in the waiting room, where the group of teens had met with their parents.
"Personally I would have just let her die..." Hermione Lodge mumbled under her breath, but everyone still heard it.
"For the last time Mom, Cheryl is not Penelope!"
"She did bully Betty for a while," Alice Cooper chimed in.
Fred Andrews came to the defense,
"You two are unbelievable. There is a child back there, that might not wake up. And you are talking about how horrible she is? I don't know about you guys, but she has come a long way recently".
"I was actually there, at her house, and witnessed her family dynamic. Her mother hates her," Veronica stated, expanding Fred's arguement.
"That's true, Polly once told me that she overheard Penelope shouting at Cheryl how she wishes it were her that was dead," Betty added.
Archie was next,
"I was there too, and she told me and I quote, 'They hate me. And at school that is fine, but this is my family'".
"So do we call Penelope down here? We can't technically take any legal action unless Cheryl is willing to give a testimony, but aren't we supossed to bring Penelope down to see her daughter?" Sheriff Keller imposed to the group.
Fred Andrews butt in, " I say we bring her down here, but watch closely to make sure nothing happens".
