During breakfast, Joyce asked Buffy to take Dawn school shopping. Buffy complained, Dawn complained, everybody was mad. Joyce ended up taking Dawn school shopping. Then Buffy met Dracula. Dawn remembered that the morning after Dracula got into the house, Buffy came downstairs wearing a scarf. As predicted, Buffy came downstairs wearing a scarf. After breakfast, Dawn confronted Buffy in the kitchen.
"Buffy, you have to be on your guard. I saw a bat sneak into your room last night. You don't know what diseases it had."
"Absolutely none!" Here Buffy lowered her voice. "The bat was Dracula," she whispered.
"And that's supposed to make me worry less?!" Dawn also lowered her voice, though it was hard to. "Buffy, if Dracula got into your room, one: how, and two: NO! Dracula being in your room makes me worry more! Did he bite you? Is that why you're wearing a scarf?" Before Buffy could answer, Dawn pulled the aforementioned scarf off of Buffy, revealing a (you guessed it) fresh bite mark, over the Mater's and Angel's. "What, he's the third vamp you've let drink from you? I'm SO telling Giles! And Willow and Tara! And Xander and Anya! And Spike!" Before Buffy could do anything, Dawn ran out of the house, going to Spike's crypt.
