Chapter 02 – The Jarl of Solitude
We are now in the gates of Solitude my father will be named Jarl of Solitude, we left Volkihar and I don't think we will see it again, I saw a group of guards waiting and I also saw the ones that he named his stewards, Orthjolf and Vingalmo, the first time I saw them was in the High King's party three years ago, I don't know why I don't trust them, they escorted us to the Blue Palace, and the ceremony started, It was a great ceremony, my father got crowned as Jarl and I'm his heir.
The party after the ceremony was boring, Orthjolf and Vingalmo are licking my father's boots, and my mother is with the social stuff. But I got surprised when I saw her coming with another woman, she wanted to introduce me the woman, as the gentleman they taught me to be I will show my courtesy, my mother was wearing her favorite red dress and the other woman was wearing a yellow dress, and a crown like the one of my father.
"Harkon, please come here, she is Serana the Kind-Hearted, she is the Jarl of Whiterun", said mother, I greeted her and told her that it was an honor to meet her, and that stuff, I knew that my mother was trying to compromise me, if you let me guess with her daughter, that's the kind of stuff she does. They were talking with me, and I pretended that I cared for what they said, but then I saw a girl who was coming she went to the side of the Jarl, she was about to introduce us but it wasn't necessary, I knew her, she was the girl that I met 3 years ago.
-Valerica- I said, I didn't imagined that shewas the daughter of the Jarl of Whiterun, I mean, I knew she was highborn, but I was surprised to see her in the party.
"Hi, Harkon", she said, she remembered me, she remembered the boy who explored with her the Palace of Kings three years ago.
I'm pretty sure that my mother and the Jarl didn't expect to be this easy to get their kids together, but I didn't cared, all that mattered was that I saw Valerica again.
