This may be a bit short, but I figured it was better than nothing. Enjoy~!
Shiki
Shiki took a deep breath.
The warm sunlight filtered through the white clouds and trickled down to his head, warming him up. The fresh air tickled his face, teasing him.
Mikan had been right. He really had needed an excursion. It was doing wonders to him already. He felt like he could handle anything in the world now.
"Middle School Principal~!"
…well, almost anything. Shiki turned around and let a fake smile break out over his face. "Narumi-sensei."
Narumi pouted. "Ohh, such a cold tone! Don't be like that. After all, we're old friends~!"
Shiki cringed inwardly. To him, the two were not exactly friends. Heck, they didn't even have the typical sempai and kohai relationship. The only times the two had ever teamed up together was to fight against the former Elementary School Principal and to plan an impromptu birthday party present for Mikan when he accidently forgot her birthday.
(He didn't count the times he sold Narumi Yuka's pictures in exchange for some alone time with her after a long day at work. What Narumi did with them, he didn't want to know.)
"Is there a reason you're here, Narumi?" asked Shiki.
"Hmm, yes, as a matter of fact, there is a reason I'm here. I'm here because of my daughter! I need to think of a way to thank her for her Father's Day gift to me!"
"…you have a daughter?" Shiki pitied the poor girl who had this madman for a father.
Narumi giggled. "No, silly! I'm talking about our lovely Mikan-chan!"
"…Mikan gave you a Father's Day gift?!" Shiki could not believe his ears. He must have misheard Narumi. There was no way Mikan had given this sado-narcissist a Father's Day gift.
…Right?
"Yes, she gave me this shirt! Looks good, eh?"
Good? Good? How-how could Mikan give this man a shirt with the words BEST TEACHING DAD IN THE WORLD? How could she even consider this man her father?
…and she only gave him a replacement earring. It wasn't even a new model.
"She gave you a what?"
Oops, he had said the words aloud. Shiki looked at Narumi. He could have just denied what he said, but he suddenly felt the need to establish his superiority to Narumi and assert Mikan's affection for him. He squared his shoulders and looked Narumi in the eye.
"Mikan gave me an earring for Father's Day."
...Jealous, Narumi? Don't worry, you'll get your POV next time. :)
