Bari yawned a bit as he rubbed his tired eyes, the bright, warm sun shining into one of the windows of the ship he was currently in. It was still slightly hard for him to believe that last night he had been sitting in a jail cell, awaiting his sentence he felt he deserved. That is, until a certain headmaster of Beacon offered him a spot in his academy. Long story short, Bari Cantus said goodbye to the city of Vale and hello to Beacon Academy….all because he was on a probationary education now.

The young DJ growled a bit as he once again looked at the crumpled up paper that got him into the Academy, him rereading it for the 20th time that morning. "I still can't believe they gave me this piece of garbage." He would mutter to himself. Yes, he did understand the need for a punishment for the actions of his past, but he definitely knew that he did NOT need a babysitter. Once he felt the ships engines power down and said vessel land, he would pick up the bag of what little possessions he had before walking out and into the bright morning.

As he walked, he would see dozens of people. Although one caught his eye, a very young girl more precisely. She had a bit of a brunette colored hairstyle with red tips, but his thoughts on her were quickly extinguished when he spotted a man with gray hair. Even though his parted hair was graying, he still gave off a sense of authority. His attire was what Bari would think was standard for the teachers at Beacon, it consisting of a burgundy double-breasted suit, his pants tucking into his olive green boots while his gold buttons shined in the morning sun.

Yet it wasn't the way that he seemed to tower over the students that got Bari's attention onto him; it was his moustache. Every time the unknown teacher would talk or move, it would slightly bounce up and down, which each time bari's right eye would slightly twitch. Now he had another goal besides trying to find his "babysitter"; finding out about the man's mysterious boisterously bouncing moustache.

"Um….hello?" Bari would ask as he approached the teacher, his brow slightly raised as he kept an eye on the middle-aged man's moustache, his eyes seeming to track it as if he were waiting for it to move.

"Oh? Why hello there young lad! I see that you're simply demanding to be molded into a fabulous hunter just like myself!" The slightly overweight Professor Port beamed at one of the many newest additions of Beacon Academy. "I could tell by the way you were staring at me!" He chuckled a bit haughtily, his belly jiggling as as he chuckled. "Now then, what is your name lad! Every magnificent huntsman and huntress has a name that shall follow them into the heat of battle!"

"U...um….B...B-bari! Bari Cantus Sir…" He would stutter as his eyes were torn away from the puzzling piece of facial hair known as a moustache.

"Ah yes!" He smiled proudly. "I have been assigned to be your probationary officer at this fine school. I was even able to fiddle with paperwork to get you to be in my class for your first period, now aren't you such a lucky young man!"

"...no…...no…..I refuse to accept it, Reality. Nope…." He pinched himself to ensure that he wasn't dreaming, to which his eye twitched in frustration when he felt the annoyance known as pain. "Please….let this be a dream…."

"Why yes son, it's certainly a dream come true!"

"W-where do I go to get far away from here as possible?!" Bari looked around with a panicked expression, it seeming like a nightmare had become reality in his eyes.

"Ah, I see that you are eager to test your skills in the great and magnificent hunter activities that are housed at Beacon!" He would grin, each and every movement his mouth making would cause the patch of gray hair on his lip to bounce. "But unfortunately, I will not be able to show you around this magnificent training facility, for there are dozens of other young minds that need my help. And I shall give it to them, for their minds shall be molded into the huntsmen and huntresses of tomorrow!" Professor Port would then gesture with his extended arm towards the front door of Beacon Academy. "All I can give you this fine day is directions to the front door. Until your first period Bari, I must say Fare thee well!"

Bari would quickly say his goodbye to his new probationary guardian before rushing towards the front door, most of the students having filed into the school already. Although, he was soon stopped when he heard a squeak as his foot stepped onto something, him looking down now. The Dj would lift his foot and raise his brow, his hand picking up a small, soft object.

"A….cat toy?" He would look at the purple and black toy, him curiously looking at it as he wondered why or how a cat toy even got onto Academy grounds. Although his train of thought would soon be interrupted when he felt a very light body jump onto his back, the sudden impact causing him to fall face first into the ground, which would cause him to groan in pain.

Bari looked up to see a blue clad faunus going straight for his hand. Her ears and hair were striped purple, scraggled tufts of fur at a hole in her left ear. On her back sat a massive spool of thread that had a thin, purple string connecting to a an eyelet, although only half of it was there as it sat snugly in a holster.

"Oh, hi there! Sorry about landing on you and making you fall, but you have my toy, so…" She whistled nonchalantly as she plucked the toy from his hand. Her attire consisted of a powder blue dress and skirt along with a symbol on an apron she wore over her dress. Said symbol was a purple spool and thread with a needle going through it, the mystery faunus putting her cat toy into the pocket that had the insignia on it. "There we go!"

"Great, now could you get off of me?" Bari's amber eyes would look into the purple eyes that belonged to the faunus, his irritation growing each second his body was on the ground.

"Oh, alright!" She smiled kindly as she got off of him, her stretching a bit as her ears swiveled in a few random directions before laying still. "So, what's your name Mr?"

"Bari. Bari Cantus." The DJ would smile a bit at her, his irritation now ebbing away as he offered her his hand to her, him not being able to be that angry at the adorable faunus in front of him. "And you?"

"The name's Sophia!" She smiled brightly, her smile turning into a bit of a grin, which would cause the flame haired DJ smile a bit more. "Oh! And is this yours?" She would tilt her head as she held a familiar instrument in her hand, which would make Bari immediately grab it and start inspecting it.

Eventually, he would sigh. "Thank god, she's not scratched." He smiled a bit as he turned it on, its lights flickering for a few moments before the panels would fade to a neon blue.

"Why thanks!"

"Not you Sophia. I meant Tranquility." He would make his point known by engaging his instrument into its melee form. His arms would fit snugly into each end before the lock on the middle disengaged, the weapons blades snapping into their appropriate places as he stood in front of her. "See? It's a custom made synthesizer. When it's not in its regular music mode, it becomes these two beautiful instruments of death."

"Cooool." She smiled as she took the half eyelet out from her holster before pulling a trigger on its interior. Within a matter of seconds, the eyelet had folded out into half of a needle, a sleek, slender barrel protruding from the end of the half-needle. A scope would spring out of the top of the once compact gun, an ammo clip shaped opening appearing on the underside. "This is Whisper! I built her myself."

Bari's curiosity started to get the better of himself as he inspected the weapon, Sophia doing the same to his weapons as well, although they would soon be interrupted by the chiming of the bells of Beacon Academy, which would make Bari curse slightly under his breath as he had Tranquility return to its instrumental form.

"Dammit, we're gonna be late for the assembly." he would begin to walk as Sophia collapsed Whisper into its dormant form, her trying to keep up with the slightly taller male. Although the DJ would soon feel a tug on his shirt, which caused his head to look backwards.

The sight he was met with made his heart tighten up with emotion due to the current sight of the cat faunus slightly behind him. Her ears were tucked against her head while her eyes were as big as they could be, her slightly whimpering in a cutesy manner.

" Carry me?"

"...alright, but just this once." At that, Sophia would cheer happily before hopping onto Bari's back, her body slightly hanging due to her being delicate with Tranquility.

Now with his new acquaintance in tow, Bari decided to run towards the large doors of his new home, him putting the light faunus down as they began to wade through the crowd of people.
