She was asleep, but she didn't look it. For her eyes were wide open, focusing on the demons that were haunting her sleep. She was clawing madly at her chest where all her pain seemed to be. She wished that it was gone; in fact, she wished it never happened in the first place. Suddenly her hands dropped, she had stopped clawing and the thrashing stilled, she had woken up. She sat up and turned the lights on quietly, carefully. She was so scared of finding something there that shouldn't be. She was so afraid that she would wake up and this would all just be a blissful dream, away from the painful reality where she was still being hunted down by her foe. She knew that she should feel safe, but there was no way she could feel safe. Not after feeling afraid for so long.
She wanted ever so badly to call him, and ask him to come save her. She felt safe when she was around him- that was one of the reasons this experience was so terrifying. He wasn't there to protect her, when she needed him most. She didn't blame him for that; it was just the way it happened. She was alone in a foreign country, where no one knew her name. She thought that she would be happy here, but she wasn't. She was hurting, she was weak… she was broken. She smiled when she thought of him, but it was of pain. She laughed when she thought of them, but it held back many tears. She cried when no one was looking, but she wished she could scream out to the world.
"I'm falling apart, I'm barely breathing…with a broken heart, that's still beating."
A/N: Hey guys, here is the incredibly short second chapter. I wasn't going to post it yet - I was going to add more- but I decided this would suffice for now. I just wanted to show you how Emily is doing. I'm just letting everyone know now, I apologize if my summary spoiled anything for you. It shouldn't have, -technically- but if it did, I do apologize.
