Disclaimer: I wish I could say that I owned Harry Potter, but if I did I'd be lying.

Authors Note: I finished this about 30 minutes ago and wasn't going to put it on until tomorrow, but when I saw I already had 2 reviews and was on an author alert list I decided it wouldn't kill me to put a chapter as short as this up a little early. Enjoy!

Chapter 2: Final Plans

Draco was too stunned to speak. He hated Potter and his friends. After all, it was Potter's fault his father was arrested and he was given the task of killing Dumbledore. However, to Draco, hating someone didn't automatically mean that they should die. Besides, it wasn't as though he was completely dedicated to the Dark Lord either. He still didn't know what to make of that situation. But Draco saw no way out of it. Not only would he be killed if he could not complete his new assignment, but his parents would as well, and Draco simply could NOT let that happen. He had already let them down once, and was determined that it would not happen again.

"This should not be that hard for you, Draco, since no killing is involved this time." Some of the Death Eaters chuckled. Voldemort held up a hand, and the room was silent once more.

"I….alright. I mean, yes, I'll do it," said the boy, with a sinking feeling in his stomach that he could not quite understand.

"I would think you would be more grateful. I am offering you a chance to redeem yourself."

"Yes, I am. Thank you." Said Draco, not sure whether he was lying or not.

Voldemort turned to face his followers. "I don't want anyone intervening this time, helping the boy or not. This is Draco's task alone." His words were followed by silent nods of agreement. "You have exactly a month, Draco. Once you have Potter and his friends, bring them here. You know how to apparate, so it should not be difficult. And don't even think of running and hiding. I have your parents here to make sure that you don't get any….foolish ideas."

Draco nodded at these words. He had no idea how he was going to find Potter, or how to transport all three of the golden trio back at once, but he mustn't let his doubts show.

"I would advise you to wait for them to say my name to find them. Once one has said my name, than you shall feel a slight burning on your Mark." Draco had to suppress a shiver at these words. Last time his Mark had "slightly burned" he had nearly blacked out from the pain. "Simply apparate and let the Mark guide you to find them." Draco nodded. It was a good plan, and he was grateful that it had been suggested.

"I'll do that. Thank you, my lord" said Draco, trying not to sound too stiff as he said this. Draco did not particularly like calling Voldemort "my lord" but knew that it was one of the required titles he must use.

"I believe that is all, then. Do not fail me, Draco." With a melodramatic sweep, Voldemort left the room, his black cloak swishing out the door after him. The Death Eaters began to disperse, and Draco slowly made his way out the door opposite the one Voldemort had left to head to his room. He saw both of his parents hurrying after him, but only quickened his pace and sped up the stairs. Draco all but ran into his room, swinging the door closed behind him. He bolted it and collapsed on his bed.

Authors Note: Sorry if the chapter was sort of short and boring. I wanted to include all of this, but I liked the semi-cliffhanger at the end of chapter one and wanted chapter 3 to be a different section, so I had to leave this as a sort of half-chapter. I hope you don't mind. Please review!
