AN: Ok so here is another crackish drabble ;) I have to say thank you so much to MoonFox for dealing with my insanity and helping me so much with my stories and beta'ing this one. You rock! Hope you guys like this one and please review if you would like to. Oh and I don't (wish I did) own Merlin!

Torches-R-Us

Merlin and Arthur entered the dark cave. Merlin, without a thought, grabbed a torch from the wall near the entrance. He lit it as they made their way deeper into the cave.

Unbeknownst to Merlin, when he pulled the torch from the sconce, it removed the pressure from a small plate hidden behind the sconce, and set a series of events into motion.

Deep underground sat a small elf, with large emerald eyes that were barely visible through eyelids that were heavy with boredom. He sat in front of what appeared to be a large wooden frame backed with a wooden panel. On it were small glass bulbs, filled with a viscous liquid. They were arranged in a grid-like pattern and stuck on the wooden panel. Vines were attached to the back of each bulb.

Suddenly, one of the bulbs started glowing faintly, at first...but, became more luminous with each second. The elf on duty perked up, when he saw the bulb begin to glow and he pulled a large red lever.

Large bird-like creatures began screeching, when their cages began to shake, sounding like a mix between a horn and a screaming banshee. Multiple fairies appeared from around the corner, panicked at the sounds of the alarm.

The din of shouting brownies, along with the screeching birds, was deafening and caused the elf to jump up from his chair shouting, "SHUT UP!"

Immediately, the brownies stopped flittering around and ceased their chatter.

Sighing, the elf began giving instructions. "Look alive people! You all know what to do this is an important mission. We can't have silly humans wandering around caves in the dark getting themselves killed, or worse... messing with the faerie folk! Franky, you're up! White Mountains, cave B12 east entrance…LET'S MOVE FAE!"

Flying back around the corner to a large wall, the brownie pulled a small lever and a torch slid out of the wall. Quickly, she grabbed the torch and flew toward the White Mountains, with a determined look in her eye.
