A/N – You guys crack me up. Virgy15…what's good for the goose. I'm sure Liz's picture is in his box of pain right now. Originally, Abby was Sam. But, I figured you'd all burn me at the stake and take away my Liason card. StoneCold7085 – Sorry but I'm not changing my story. I clearly listed the main characters. It's an Alternate Universe. So, you can't expect the characters to act exactly the same. Johnny doesn't even know Jason. Also, what is the fun of knowing the end at the start? I clearly state it's a triangle….for now. If you want to read into my character order then do what you must. Thanks for giving it a chance everyone!
Chapter 2 - Twisted
The next day, they dragged themselves into work.
"Epiphany, not so loud," Robin said holding her head.
"Look, it's not my fault you didn't get enough sleep after your drunken debauchery last night".
Kelly walked up. "Debauchery is way too big of a word for me to process right now."
Epiphany shook her head and went to the other counter.
Lainey approached them looking worse for wear. "I think I need an aspirin."
All three watched as Liz practically skipped over to them looking like nothing had happened.
"Good morning ladies," she said grabbing a chart and smiling.
They looked at each other. "What the f—"
Epiphany stopped her. "Really?"
Robin turned her head so she wouldn't see her laugh. Liz giggled and walked down a hallway running smack into the last person she wants to see. Clearly, the universe got the last laugh.
"Jason, what are you doing here?"
"Abby forgot her phone."
Liz forced a smile. "Well, see you later."
"Elizabeth, wait."
She hates being so close to him. Regardless of the hate that rose up in her, physically, he still is hard to resist.
"What is it?"
"I saw you at Jake's last night."
Now Liz is trying to stop herself from smiling.
"And?"
"You were dancing with Johnny Zacchara."
Zacchara… It kind of has a nice to ring to it.
When he didn't continue, she shifted her weight and tilted her head. "I'm not sure where you're going with this."
He pulled her into an empty room and leaned his hard body against hers. His head starts moving closer and Liz is frozen as she wonders if he is going to kiss her. Their breathing starts to quicken the closer he gets to her lips. They snap out of it when someone laughs loudly outside the door and Jason stepped backwards, running his hand through his hair.
"What is your problem, Jason?"
She wants out of the room because she can't take being alone with him. It just feels too raw.
"Johnny is in the mob and he's dangerous."
Liz laughed. "This is so rich. So, you don't want me, but I'm not supposed to have a life? Meanwhile you parade Abby around like she's the next best thing. Do you not care that it could be dangerous for her or is she expendable? We have been done for over a month now. Your choice, not mine..."
Jason recoiled as he felt her anger.
"I'm trying to protect you."
Liz threw up her hands. "If you say the word protect to me again… You're not trying to protect me, this is all about jealousy. You won't even admit to yourself that you still want me."
"Liz, you know we can't be together. It doesn't matter what I feel."
"You know what, just pretend that you don't know me. How's that? Clearly, I'm not good enough for—"
Before she could finish her sentence, he yanked her into his arms and kissed her passionately. She fought him at first, pushing against his chest, but then the kiss deepened. God, she missed his talented mouth and tongue so badly. She wrapped her fingers in his hair as he ravaged her lips, making her body tingle. Damn him! In the end, it was everything she could do to pull away from him, but she shoved him backwards and tried to catch her breath.
With tears in her eyes she glared at him. "Why are you doing this to me?"
Jason watched her storm out of the room and then hit the wall with his hand. "Dammit."
Abby relinquished her position around the corner. She had seen them go into the room and saw Liz storm out and is more than done with Elizabeth freaking Webber. The woman needs to go.

Johnny stood on the roof of the hospital. One of their men had been ambushed by Sonny's men and he had just visited him. He took a deep breath and enjoyed the fresh air.
At that moment, Liz came barreling through the door crying and very pissed.
He quickly made his way over to her.
"Liz? Are you okay?"
She nodded her head no and he pulled her into his arms, gently holding her until she calmed.
Liz backed away and wiped her face with a tissue.
"I'm sorry."
He smiled at her. "No worries. You want to tell me why you're so upset?"
"It's nothing."
"I would say it's a little more than nothing."
She slightly smiled. "It's complicated."
He leaned against the wall. "That sounds like a man problem."
"Sort of... "
"Was it an ex, or present case?"
"Ex…"
Johnny is glad to hear that.
"Why don't you let me put a smile on that beautiful face of yours? Let me take you out for dinner tonight?"
"I would love to go out to dinner with you, Johnny."
"Where should I pick you up?"
They exchanged phone numbers and Liz texted him her address.
"I have to get back to work, but thank you cheering me up."
"My pleasure…" He is really looking forward to seeing her later.

Liz went back to the nurse's station. She couldn't wait to put Jason behind her. He is way too much of a temptation. She grabbed a chart and quickly went around the corner and ran right into Abby.
"Watch where you're going," Abby growled.
She is the second to the last person that Liz wants to see.
"Sorry," Liz said brushing past her.
"Wait. I have something to say to you."
"With your vocabulary, this should be short," Liz said under her breath.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, what do you want?"
"I want you to stay away from Jason."
Liz gave her the bitchiest look she could conjure up. "Let me tell you something, maybe you need to keep your man away from me." She figured out that Abby had seen them. "He came to me, not the other way around."
Abby is taken aback by her abrasiveness, but as long as she has no interest in Jason, Abby is happy.
