Just in case you missed the update last week ( I recommend going back and reading chapter one). I've decided to rewrite this story, after months of bouncing ideas in my head I'm finally happy with the direction this story is going.

I've rewritten most of the story, changing things around a bit here and there. I hope you like this new version of It Doesn't Always End The Same. Please let me know what you think and feel about this.

**Most of the story is written and you should be expecting an update at least twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays).

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Academy, all rights go to Richelle Meads. I'm just having fun brining her characters to life in my own world.

Stopped at red light a couple blocks away from 1st street. Christian was being his usual secretive self, staying quiet for a bit as he turned into another sleepy street.

"So I've known you for a long time, right?"

Letting out a small chuckle Christian replied, "Right… So?"

"Why lie to me about having a friend that lives a few blocks away?"

Christian turned around giving me a faux pout before rolling his eyes. "First, you not knowing everything doesn't qualify as me lying Rose. I definitely omitted this part of my life, but I would never lie to you."

"You omitting something from me feel like a lie."

Christian turned around at the same time I did, briefly looking at each other before breaking out laughing.

"You're ridiculous Rose. Sometimes I'm allowed to hide things or people from you."

Rubbing my hand together before letting out an evil laugh. "Ooooo, Mr. Ozera who have you been hiding from me?"

"My real best friend."

"Ass." I leaned over to punch Christian's arm.

"Owww, remember you're stronger than me Rose."

"Fine, Just because I love you a little more than usual tonight; but I'd like to formally let you know. I dislike you greatly right now."

Christen let out a hearty laugh reminding me of his mother so much. "Noted."

The thought of Tasha brought a smile to my face. "Not my fault you never paid attention when Tasha was teaching us to fight."

"Not your fault? If I remember correctly you pushed ME off the tree that summer. Half the time she was teaching us I was in a cast."

"You're still not over that?"

"You're a jerk."

I blew Christian a kiss "And you love me. Going back to our original topic; are you going to tell me who it is?"

"Fine, ruin the surprise."

"It's what I do best."

"His name is Dimitri and our families are old friends."

"And, why have I never met him?"

"I've talked about him before with you. He went to live with some family for a couple of years and returned around the same time we stopped talking.

Thinking back to how uninvolved I was in Christians life especially last year, brought the usually wave of regret upfront. I had no one to blame but myself for some much lost time. Luckily this summer I came to my senses and started mending our relationship. Understanding that Lissa and Christian are two very different people and just because there relationship didn't work out, didn't mean ours had to end.

I should have never choses a side, especially the side that didn't have my brother/best friend in it. Staring out the window I softly whispered the title my best friend had given that chapter of our life. "The epic fall out"

"What?"

"Lissa titled, the months after your break up The Epic Fall Out."

"Ahh, definitely not a name I want to hear and not a topic I want to touch tonight. But with reference to the fire we just walked away from, it's definitely something we'll discuss over pizza, deal?"

Thinking about tonight made me sick to my stomach. Was my relationship with Adrian over? Do I care? I've feared this was the path our lives were headed for a while now, but I just can't help but feel content. Everything happens for a reason, right?

"Rose? You there?"

"Sorry, lost in thought. It's a deal if I get to pick the restaurant."

"Deal."

We fell into a comfortable silence once again, the hum of Christian's favorite song brought a smile to my face. Greeted by the soft street light illuminating the car Christian let out a long breath.

"Back to Dimitri, I really rhink you'll like him. I've wanted you two to meet for a while, things just never worked out."

"Really?"

"Yep, we were English partners last year in Stan's class too. You must have seen him; Dimitri is not someone you just miss, even though he tries really hard to."

"Mr. You really need to pass my junior class or you won't graduate high school Stan?"

"The one and only."

"That would make him a senior this year like me. What's his last name?"

"Belikov"

Nothing, I was pretty social in school due to the crowd I hung out with. He must try really." He must try really hard to go unnoticed, I've never heard of him."

"Well you're about to, we're hear."

We pulled up into a large driveway, nestled between a tall wall of trees. A few feet away stood a large two story house with an Iron Gate wrapping around the side leading into the seas of trees. Something about the Belikov house looked familiar, too familiar. I turned around to get a better look at the small fountain located near the front door when it hit me. Of course the Belikov house looked familiar, I'd been here before. How could I forget, behind that fence was the largest collection of rose bushes I had the pleasure of falling into. My own fault for not listening to Lissa and holding on to the back rail. And now I know why she knew the house was abandoned. Letting out a low whistle I leaned forward to get a better look at the house.

"Your friend lives here?"

"Yeah, why?"

"He's lived here for a long time?"

"A very long time? Why?"

"Nothing. The home looks very familiar."

"Oookay." Christian shut off the car and unbuckled his seat belt. I mirrored him leaning to my right opening the door.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"To meet your friend, where else would I be going?"

"You need to stay here, Dimitri doesn't like surprises. I'm going in first and then I'll come back for you."

I looked around at our surroundings. The mixture of the dark sky and tall trees were creeping me out more than the last time."Heck no! I'm going with you. It's 2 in the morning; someone could pop out of the trees and attack me."

Christian started looking around and banged his head on the steering wheel. It was quiet for a few seconds and out of nowhere he started to laugh. Swinging his door open, he got out of the car and walked over to my side opening the door.

"Really Rose someone is going to come by and attack you. You're so full of shit sometimes. Get out and be quiet." I gave him my cheesiest smile.

Closing the door behind me and locking his car, we slowly started walking up the stone path way quietly. Christian started to nudge me every so many steps throwing off my balance. Reaching the front door it looked so much bigger than the last time. The rich red door surround by iron lanterns radiated Do Not Disturb. Lifting his first in direction of the door, he paused and looked at me.

"Oh and one more thing n-"

"What? Don't embarrass you?"

"No Hathaway, be nice."

I made a loud pft sound while rolling my eyes "You act like I have no manners. I can practice self-control when I need it."

Christian knocked on the door while giving me another nudge. "I'll believe it when I see it. Now just follow my example."

"Got it Captain." Suddenly Christian phone started to vibrate.

"He's so lazy." Christian pulled out his phone scanning the screen, quickly typing something out. Christian rolled his eyes, reaching out he turned the door knob.

"I should at least give him some credit; he took time out of his life to text me more than four sentences."

"Four sentences? He sounds pretty awesome."

"Play nice."

Christian opened the front door slowly unfolding a very dark hallway. As we stepped inside the aroma of food and spices wrapped around me like a blanket. Christian started to chuckle at the sound of my stomach growling.

"Fuck You" I whispered

He continued to softly laugh, as he led me up the first flight of stairs. Rounding the corner we continued to walk into another dark hallway. Bumping into the wall once again, I couldn't help but feel like a light would be helpful.

"Um Christian."

It was quiet for a few more steps before he responded. "No, it's too late."

Christian had this ability to live inside my mind, seeing the world through my eyes and knowing exactly what I was going to say before the words could escape my mouth. It was annoying 70% of the time and I wouldn't have it any other way. I crossed my arms in mock defense, pausing my steps next to him.

"At least let me ask the question before shooting me down."

"Fine, go ahead and ask. My answer is still going to be the same."

More like 90% of the time. "Can we turn on some lights, this place is full of turns and the dark isn't helping."

"No, It's 2am and Dimitris mom is sleeping."

"Fine, but if I hit myself one more time, it's your fault."

"Fortunately for you, we've arrived at our final Destination." Christian gave the door three soft knocks before whispering. "Dimka you better have some clothes on, I brought company."

"I can wait outside. Definitely not how I want to meet my replacement."

"Oh so now he's your replacement. I'm joking with him Rose, come on."

We walked into the room when a deep slightly Russian accent called out through the darkness "Hey Christian."

"Shit its dark in here Dimka, don't be cheap and turn on a light for your company"

"Yeah, Yeah, you know where the witch is at. I'm in the middle of a very important mission."

Dimitri was sitting on a smaller gaming chair, his back facing towards us. The television illuminated the room causing him to look huge compared to the room. I quickly turned to face Christian; the soft glow highlighting the stupid grin on Christians face. With the softest whisper I could muster, I quickly scolded my best friend. "I just got over telling you the same thing and now it's okay?"

"It's not the same, outside of this door is the lovely Belikov home. One this side we have largest junk space, possibly in the world."

"Your walking on thin ice."

Christian made his way to the wall behind me.

"Or as we like to call it "Dimka's Room."

"Dimka?"

"Shut up Chrisitan, for being such a junk yard, you spend a lot of time here."

Just as the light switched on, Dimitri's room came to life. I couldn't help but scan the room; A few pictures here and there of a young family. The room had a lot of red and black to it, and a corner next to his window that looked like a mini library packed with cd's, movies and tons of books. I got a little closer to check it out. He didn't have bad taste in music, just a little outdated. I could hear Christian saying something to me in the background but I was too busy to care. I knew this night would come full circle bringing me back here. This was the room I had snuck in here when Lissa and Natalie were snooping around. Everything was the exact same, frozen in time. Quickly looking towards the window I could see the balcony I had fallen from. I turned towards the night stand recognizing a book from our summer reading when I was interrupted by someone clearing there throat. I turned around and there stood Dimitri in a snug tee that fit his upper body perfectly and some lose sweats.

"You should at least introduce yourself before touching my stuff."

I pulled my hand away from the night stand; I could feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment. Dimitris eyes piercing through me.

"I'm sorry, your room is hypnotizing. I'm Rose, nice to meet you."

"Dimitri Belikov," his body stance becoming more inviting by the second. "It's nice to officially meet you Rose."

Dimitri extended his hand waiting for mine. I quickly mirrored his image offering a soft smile. His hand swallowed mine, rough and soft all at once. Finally focusing on Dimitri, his six foot something frame towered over me. Those brown eyes partially covered by the length of his hair; a light brush of facial hair standing out against his tan skin. It took a few seconds before I noticed he was staring right at me, a little too happy about the current situation. I quickly realized I had been holding on to his hands a little bit longer than what's appropriate. I let go of Dimitri hand, quickly crossing both hands across my chest.

Dimitri broke the silence with a small. "It's really nice to finally meet you, Roza."
