Peering into the room, Jean saw something that had shakenherto the very core.

She saw the professor sitting on the floor, head leaning against the bed, crying. No he wasn't just crying he was sobbing.

But it wasn't that that had shaken her. It was the fact that he was surrounded by is own blood with a blade laying on the floor, that had shaken her so badly.

Jean was shocked to see happy, carefree professor in such a state. She slowly walked up to him,and placed a hand on is shoulder.

He let out a yelp when he felt a hand on is shoulder, and wassurprised to see it was Jean out of all people that found him like this. Actually, if he thought about it it wasn't that surprising that it was Jean that found him, because she was a powerful
telepath and he couldn't keep is guard up all the time.

"Why", Jean asked.

He wasn't sure how to answer her question. He didn't want to tell her the truth, but he couldn't exactly lie to her directly, because she would find out he his lying with her telepathic powers.i thought about erasing her memories of what she just saw
but he immediately discarded that idea.

He was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn't notice Jean calling out is name until she mentally screamed his name in his head. He was so startled by the scream that he slipped into the small puddle of blood when he jumped up.

Jean helped him up and apologized for scaring him. She then proceeded to bring him to the bathroom that was connected to the room and clean the blood off his wrist and wrap them up in bandage.

When they both were back in the room and sitting on the bed she repeated her question, "Why professor? Why would you do this.

After a little bit of hesitation he decided it would be best if he told her the truth. He looked and her and then when he was looking at her directly in the eye, " Jean, my dear,I hope you have time becauseI am about to tell you a long story." he said.
