Part 2: By his Bedside

She sat down next to where he lay. There was no sheet she could pull up, no pillow to rest his head on. There was just the white matress. There was just him, lying motionless. Was he sleeping? Did he dream of the ocean as she did? Even now, she could hear it.

"Number XIIII, why do you dawdle here? You have missions to complete." Saix chastised her, nudging her towards the door.

He was such a troll! She thought bitterly. Outloud she could only protest, though she knew his cold lack of a heart would chastise her.

"But...what if he..."

As expected, the ice trollface folded his arms and shook his head, shoving her out roughly.

"Namine is working. Roxas's state will not change regardless of your presence, or lack thereof. Now go."

She went, but bitterly. Then she looked at her mission and smiled. Destiny Islands...

"Fine, Xemnas pet. If I can't stay near Roxas, I will bring him a gift for every day he's out. That way, he'll know I was there."
