Colorful and Sweet
Those candies are
Pink, and green, and blue
Some day I'll buy the whole store
And even save some for you
My friends just tease me
Saying I'm fat
They laugh and shake their heads
"Grow up" they say, "grow up"
But I just don't give a damn
On Monday's I skip
Right to the shop
Right to the very back
I find my favorite candy of all
It's name is "Cherry PEZ"
On Tuesday's I prance
As fast as I can
And find some Boston Baked Beans
I take those home and lay down
And then they're in my dream
On Wednesday's I run
Right to the shop
Right to chocolate bars
I skim along the many signs
Then come across the Mars
On Thursday's my mom
Gives me a buck and says
"Buy yourself something sweet"
I waltz along the dusty road
With the clouds covering my feet
On Friday's
My friends wait for me
In our favorite spot
"Still haven't laid off the candy, I see"
"Someday you're going to drop"
On Saturday's I stay
In my bed
With a bowl of sweets beneath me
I chew and swallow 'til I have to stop
My stomach feels too queasy
On Sunday's I wake up
With a cramp
And find my way to my friends
I knock twice and go on up
"I'm never eating candy again!"
