Me: Oh damn. Been working on this for about a month or so between classes. I never really intended for this story to have a sequel but I was rereading a few of my old stories, reread this one and decided I wasn't quite satisfied with the ending. So I wroite this.
Hope you guys like it!
Dream Affairs (Sequel)
Slowly rising from the bed, a certain bluenette picked up her jeans from the floor and moved to put them on. As she did, a few coins in her front pocket slipped free and hit the hard wood floors loudly, spinning and twisting in distress before settling onto the ground. The woman mentally cursed and looked back to the bed. A topless red head lay there, and though she shifted slightly to hold the pillow beside her and bury her face in it, she did not wake. The standing woman quickly finished dressing and crept across the bedroom floor, down the hallway and out of the apartment entirely.
Out in the building's hallway, she crept along still, the sunrise beginning to light the room around her. She went to the end of the hall and stopped, opening the first door there and entering her apartment. She closed the door silently and crept through the nearly identical apartment, similar in every way to the one she had just been in other than the different furniture. She entered the bedroom there, seeing a topless brunette laying in a similar manner as the red head had been.
Stripping off her clothing, the woman pulled up the covers to the bed and slid in. She snuck closer to the brunette and slipped an arm under the woman's head. The sleeping woman awake slightly, but could only shift and snuggle closer to the source of heat behind her, "-stuki.." she muttered sleepily.
Natsuki took the opportunity to place her other hand on the woman's hip and pull them closer. She rested her head against the soft pillow and took a deep breath, reveling in the scent of rose and lavender than flowed off the woman in front of her, "I love you, 'Zuru."
The woman in front of her hummed in response, and soon enough, was fast asleep one again. The bluenette yawned widely before burying her face in the brown tresses before her, sighing happily as her mind and body grew increasingly heavy. She was exhausted from a long night of fucking and sneaking and fucking and sneaking. 'Whatever…' Natsuki thought, a happy smile overtaking her features, 'Worth it.'
Natsuki pulled at her sleeve, folding down the cuff on her shirt. She stood in front of her mirror and ran her hands down the front of her shirt, her maroon shirt, that Shizuru had picked out for her. Kami, it was hideous. In a couple days she and her fiancé were due for a meeting with a Mr. Kaung, the owner of the Beijing Trading Company. In order for her fiance's corporation to overtake their leading competitor, Natsuki had to be a shining example of a loving wife-to-be. Formally dressing herself was impossible though, and Shizuru was too focused on having them match as a good couple to realize no shade of purple or red would ever look good on the bluenette.
"Take that thing off already. No amount of fiddling will make it look good." Nao said from the bed. Laying on her back, she took her eyes off the magazine in front of her to smirk at the woman, "If this dinner is as important as you make it sound, don't go in that thing."
The bluenette grinned at the other woman and nodded as she began unbuttoning the shirt, "Don't worry, I won't. For all the things Shizuru can do she will never be allowed to dress me."
Rolling onto her knees, Nao abandoned the magazine in favor of her purse, "That's why I stopped at a couple shops before I came home from lunch with Mikoto. I guessed you're size but try these on." she said, tossing fabric at the bluenette.
Natsuki caught the shirt and blazer and glanced at them with a raised brow. Setting them on the mirror, she took off the maroon shirt and put on Nao's instead, a very light blue button up that left plenty of room for casual cleavage. Next she slid on a deep blue blazer with a white collar embroidered green thread. Now this was gorgeous. The bluenette smirked at herself in the mirror, admiring the reflection of the red head who smirked right back at her, "You have good taste."
"Hell yea I do." Nao said, her eyes dipping down the woman's back and legs in the outfit, admiring the woman's body, "It was easy, though. The lady that helped me in the last store looked almost exactly like you, except her eyes were orange. It was freaky."
Natsuki turned to stare at the woman, "What, did you have her try on the clothes for you to see what looked best?"
The red head shrugged, picking up her magazine again, "Yea, actually. I had to tip her a few thousand yen but it was worth it." she said, smiling blissfully at her girlfriend before laying back on the bed and burying her face in the magazine, "Especially since you look so damn hot in it."
Stepping away from the mirror, Natsuki's smile widened as she sat on the side of the bed and poked the woman's stomach, earning a grunt from the woman. She poked her again and was met with annoyed lime eyes, "Thank you, love." she spoke softly.
The lime eyes softened greatly. Nao lowered her magazine and sat up, leaning forward enough to briefly press her lips against the bluenette's in a chaste kiss, "Anything for you. Besides, I refuse to let you go out in public in that color."
Natsuki looked down at the red head's white sundress, then down to her own outfit. Actually, she and the red head matched quite well already. Lifting herself farther onto the bed, she laid down next to Nao, who immediately shifted to put her head on the bluenette's shoulder, and kissed the woman's forehead, "You all set for the dinner with your father tomorrow?" she asked.
Nao hummed and shrugged, "I suppose. I'll willing to give him a shot, but if he says anything about my personal life, I swear to god I'm walking out. You sure you wouldn't come...?" she asked quietly, glancing up at the other woman.
"You know I can't. Your dad's the one Shizuru's been complaining about all damn day for the past few days. I can't risk your dad recognizing me if I cross his path."
"I thiiiink," the red head started, twisting and kissing the bluenette's cheek, "That you should break up with her already and be my girlfriend for when my father meets with Mr. Kaung, and help us get the trading contract instead."
The bluenette raised her brows a bit, "Since when do you care about your father's business?"
"Since I realized my inheritance depends on his love for me." the younger woman replied, grinning widely after a moment and planting a kiss atop her girlfriend's lips, "I like living so close to you, and would rather not lose you. You'll have to break up with her eventually. I mean, you're not actually going to marry her, right?"
"Of course not." Natsuki agreed, pulling the red head closer to her. Thinking about having to break up with Shizuru scared her and always made her stomach uneasy. Imagining the woman's reaction filled her with horror. At least being with Nao made it easy for her to calm down and relax, "After she gets her chance at the contract. I at least owe her that."
Nao nodded as the woman attempted to snuggle with her further, "Sure, but I wish you'd help me instead of her. I know you think me reconnecting with my dad tomorrow will help us get the contract, but I'd be a shoe in if I had you."
The bluenette stared down into lime eyes for a moment, cupped the woman's cheek, then kissed her girlfriend lovingly, "You do have me."
Smiling back, Nao shook her head, "Not really," she muttered, running her finger's down the woman's and stopping above the diamond ring on Natuki's hand on her cheek, "I wish I didn't have to deal with all the bullshit drama that's coming up. Your dinner, my father, the contract, and your wedding next week are stressing me the fuck out."
"Uuugh I know!" Natsuki exclaimed, placing her hands on the red head's sides and drumming her fingers up and down, "I just wish I could relax!" she yelled again. Nao broke into a fit of giggles from the tickling and began trashing in the bed, trying to get the bluenette off of her. It only made Natsuki tickle her more, poking and pinching the girl's sides relentlessly until she was flipped on her back and her hands were pinned on either side of the bed. She threw her head back and laughed happily at the distraught woman above her, "I'm sorry…"
"Not yet you aren't." Nao said menacingly. She leaned down and bit the woman's neck, smirking slightly when Natsuki hissed in pain. Hearing a vibration beside her, she stopped and glanced at Natsuki's phone on the night stand. Releasing the woman below her, she grabbed the phone and unlocked it, sighing at the thing, "Fujino's done in an hour."
Natsuki groaned, "I better start dinner."
Raising her brows, the red head grinned at the woman under her, "Aww, I love seeing you be a little house-wife."
"Shut up." Natsuki muttered, pushing the red head off of her and sitting up on the edge of the bed.
Nao rose to her knees and wrapped her arms around the woman's shoulders, kissing her shoulder and cheek lovingly, "It's cute. I love how adorable you are, even if you like pretending to be a badass biker."
"I am a badass biker."
"Yes," Nao agreed, meeting the woman's emerald eyes and smiling easily, "But you're also a fluffy puppy. And I love that."
Together, the two rose from the bed and went to the kitchen to begin dinner. Mostly Nao sat back and drank wine, talking and watching her girlfriend move around the kitchen. Just a few days ago she'd learned that Natsuki had lived on her own for most of high school, and accordingly learned how to cook and clean for herself. Nao had a maid clean her apartment every few days, but Natsuki took care of everything herself. One second she could be fantasizing about the biker in that leather suit and the next be completely comfortable thinking of Natsuki in a pink apron. Both worked.
Natsuki tried to work quickly to finish the food. She wanted everything to be done before Shizuru came home, but she also loved cooking while Nao was there to help her. The red head was full of Chinese culture and made her recipes a little more lively, especially with her love for red hot chilies. Natsuki sprinkled a bit of chili powder into her stir fry, scrunching up her nose as the smell of the hot pepper burned in the inside of her nostril. But the vegetables smelled amazing.
Grabbing the wine bottle from in front of her girlfriend, Natsuki splashed it into a pan with two large pieces of charring beef, breathing the scent in happily before passing the bottle back. Shizuru may have liked sushi more but the bluenette wasn't about to give up her chance to have a good, thick piece of red meat. She'd gone all out and ordered real kobe beef for the occasion, and watching the perfectly marbled meat practically melt in the pan was entirely worth the expensive price tag.
"Whoa, you like beef?" Nao asked, leaning forward in her chair to get a good look at the cooking steaks, "Awesome. My mom loved it as soon as it started getting popular in Beijing, and got me hooked."
Natsuki glanced at the other woman with a small smirk, once again feeling a large appreciation for how much she had in common with the red head, "I love most things American, and they do beef well." she said simply.
"Oh, I know, I can tell by how much mayo you can guzzle in a single afternoon."
"It's addictive!"
"So is alcohol but I've never seen someone drink three bottles in a night!"
Sticking her tongue out, the bluenette flipped off the laughing red head and went back to her food. Just a side of some rice and dinner would be ready. Too soon, she got another text letting her know Shizuru was in the building. Gathering up her girlfriend, Natsuki escorted Nao to the door and held her there for a moment, enjoying their goodbye kisses and whisperings before the red head had to go, Nao calling for her to "End it already!" as she entered her own apartment.
Natsuki changed out of her new clothes and instead changed into a thin, comfortable sweatshirt. She went back to the kitchen and plated their food, setting it on the table along with the wine. Not long after she'd lain on the couch and turned on the radio did her fiancé enter the apartment. Shizuru dropped her bags by the door and took off her shoes, smiling into the room, "Ara, it smells delicious in here, my Natsuki-chan. What have you made?"
"Steak and rice and vegetables." the bluenette answered. She sat up on the couch and kissed her fiancé as the woman passed, Shizuru disappearing into their living room to put on more comfortable clothes. Natsuki rose and went to get them a couple glasses of wine.
Coming out of the bedroom, Shizuru leaned against the back of her chair at the table and smiled easily, "The shirt and jacket on the bed, did you get those for the dinner with Mr. Kaung?"
Handing her fiancé the wine, the bluenette nodded, "Yea. Like them?"
"They're perfect." Shizuru answered, sipping her wine and smiling widely, "I didn't know my Natsuki had such exquisite taste in formal wear."
The other woman chuckled slightly, turning to return to the kitchen in order to hide her face, "I uh, had some help. I asked Mai to come along and help me." she lied, placing the empty wine bottle on the counter, grabbing a new one from the rack and returning to the kitchen, "Anyway, let's eat. I'm excited for this."
"Very well, my Natsuki." Shizuru said as they took their seats. They began their meal in silence. Surprisingly, Shizuru found herself unable to stay away from the beef. It was gloriously delicious, most likely because of all the wine Natsuki must have used. At least, the steak tasted of wine, and the bluenette had used an entire bottle and didn't seem as if she'd been drinking, so it must have all gone into the meal. The vegetables took her by surprise however, the spices quickly filling her mouth with uncomfortable pain, "Oh my, that's hot." she muttered, taking a large gulp of her wine.
The bluenette smiled sympathetically, "Sorry– should have warned you. I used a spice blend from Beijing, so you'll want to mix it with the rice a bunch." she said, happily filling her mouth with the orgasmic food. Kami, it made her want to eat with Nao instead, knowing the red head would be talking endlessly about the high quality beef and perfect flavor mixtures.
"From Beijing? Have you gone grocery shopping today, too?" Shizuru asked curiously. They didn't have many spices in the house, and she was the last one to go shopping for food.
Natsuki shook her head, choosing to sip her wine before she spoke, "No, I borrowed it."
"Mai?" Shizuru asked knowingly.
"No, uh.. from Mikoto's friend, Nao. From down the hall." Natsuki spoke carefully, making sure she changed nothing about her behavior when speaking of her lover, "She let me borrow the spices after I told Mai what I was planning to make for dinner tonight."
Thankfully, the brunette in front of her simply smiled in return and took another bite of her steak and vegetables, "My Natsuki has been busy making friends. Have you invited Mikoto and her friends to the wedding?" she asked.
Natsuki nodded happily, "Of course. They're all excited."
"As am I." Shizuru agreed, reaching forward and placing her hand over Natsuki's. She stared into deep emerald eyes and smiled happily at her fiancé, "Soon, we're going to promise to be together forever. I can't wait to promise myself to you, Natsuki-chan."
The bluenette returned the smile slowly, running her thumb over Shizuru's fingers, "Me too."
Nao bit down hard on her lip to try and keep quiet. But feeling her girlfriend's lips in her neck, kissing and licking where she was most sensitive, was making it hard to keep it down. She let out small grunts or muffled moans every time Natsuki's fingers plunged into her. But then teeth bit down on her collarbone and the fingers inside her curled upwards, and she let out a loud moan that bounced off the walls around them.
"They'll hear." Natsuki muttered above her, referring to Mikoto and Mai who were watching a movie in the living room.
The red head panted heavily, feeling her lower abdomen tighten with heat. Her grip on the bluenette's shoulders grew rough, her nails digging into the skin there as she buried her face in the bluenette's neck, the heat overtaking her entire body, "Mutt, I–" she paused to moan, unable to finish.
Natsuki understood. She kept up her pace, curling her fingers within the younger woman and fucking her as deeply as possible. God, she loved how hot and wet Nao's pussy was, especially when she was about to cum. Moving her thumb up and pressing it against Nao's clit, she kissed her lover as passionately as she could while Nao shook against her and moaned into the kiss, her whole body rocked by her orgasm.
Pulling her hand free, Natsuki straddled her girlfriend while she licked her fingers clean. Laying down in the bed, she pulled Nao against her and buried her face in the red hair before her, breathing in the smell of sunshine and ginger that followed Nao, along with the sweat and sex that clung in the air, "I love you." she whispered.
"Oh my god I love you too." Nao muttered happily, snuggling into the woman behind her and lacing her fingers with the woman's, "Think they heard?"
The bluenette laughed, nodding, "Probably. But they're used to it by now."
Nao sighed, pouting a bit, "I'll have to buy Mikoto another apology lunch. I just took her out yesterday, too!" she complained.
"Sorry, I show no mercy." the woman behind her whispered, causing Nao to shiver slightly. Natsuki smirked and kissed the back of the woman's neck, rubbing her nose against the skin there in gentle nuzzles, "Besides, I love making you cum. Your voice, expressions, the way you cling to me–"
"Shut up, you're making me horny again." the younger woman interrupted. She twisted in her lovers arms and gazed into emerald eyes, kissing the soft lips before her. Natsuki kissed her back eagerly, moving their lips together in sync as she pulled the red head closer. But then she felt pressure on her clit and froze, moaning slightly against Nao's lips as she was teased. Hand on her shoulder, she was pushed on her back.
Nao winked at her and slid down, disappearing under the bed covers. She felt lips and a tongue circle her naval, cross her hip bones and then double back. Her legs were pushed apart and she felt warm wetness against her pussy, making her moan at the sensitive fluttering that flowed through her. Pressure and heat enveloped her clit and she moaned, throwing her head to the side and biting the fluffy pillow around her. Had to stay quiet. Kami, but it was so hard. And Nao was so good.
Then she felt her girlfriend's fingers slip inside her, and her clit rise as it was sucked, and she had to raise her hand and bite her knuckles as she groaned to keep quiet. "Naoo.. more." she pleaded.
The red head complied, increasing the pace of her fingers and tongue against her girlfriend, and curling her fingers as well. Natsuki's legs were twitching before her, and the woman's moans were growing louder and more infrequent. Only a little longer and the bluenette would cum, whispering her name and shaking, just like Nao loved.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Nao?" Mikoto's voice called through the door, making both women stop their actions and curse angrily, "Sorry to interrupt but there's someone here for you… I think it's your dad." the girl's voice said uneasily.
With eyes the shape of saucers, Nao jumped from the bed and ran into her walk-in closet – bed cover fluttering to the floor behind her – quickly began looking for acceptable clothes. She poked her head out of the door and grinned nervously at the frustrated bluenette in her bed, "Get dressed. Chop chop!" she said, disappearing once again.
Natsuki rolled her eyes and got off the bed, gathering her clothes from around the room, "I thought your dad wasn't picking you up for..." she paused, glancing at the clock, "two more hours!" she complained.
"Me too!" the red head's yelled a she left the closet in fresh pants and a loose black blouse and went to her vanity, quickly fixing her hair and touching up her makeup as she spoke, "He's not supposed to be here yet. I'm sorry." she said, meeting her girlfriend's eyes in the mirrors reflection.
Rising from the bed, the bluenette quickly crossed the room and hugged the woman from behind, kissing her cheek gently, "It's okay. Good luck with him tonight, though. I hope you two can patch things up." she said, resting her chin on the woman's shoulder.
Nao quickly finished her makeup, then spun in the older woman's arms and wrapped her arms around the bluenette's neck, pulling her down for a quick kiss, "Thanks. I know he's mainly doing it for the business, but it's a good start. I just hope he'll take back everything he said after my mother died."
"I'm sure he will." Natsuki said confidently, smiling widely at the woman to ignore the sad thoughts of how Nao's father had broken emotionally after his wife's death and tried to blame his daughter for the ordeal, "I mean, if you disappeared from my life for a few months, I'd drop everything until I got you back." she said, earning herself a wide smile and a kiss from the woman before her.
"Wait, Mr. Zhang, I don't think you should–" Mikoto started from the hallway.
The door to the room opened slowly, an older man pointlessly knocking on the open door as he leaned his head in. He saw the two women wrapped up in each other and sighed at the sight, opening the door the rest of the way and smiling at his daughter, "Nao, my dear, I'm so glad to see you again."
Both women blushed heavily and stepped apart, Nao moving away to speak to her father, "Daddy, I thought you were coming to pick me up later." she said.
The man, with short graying hair and a soft face, covered in soft white fuzz, smiled at her and nodded, "I know, but after you told me where you were staying I couldn't contain my excitement; I had to come see you." he said, stepping forward and pulling his daughter into a hug, holding her tightly, "I've missed you, so much…"
Nao quickly relaxed and returned his hug, resting her head against his familiar chest and sighing, "I missed you too, daddy. I'm sorry for running away."
"No matter." the man said as they separated, "I must apologize for my behavior as well, though I'd rather we discuss things over dinner." he said, glancing around the room. His eyes stopped on Natsuki. Immediately, he stepped forward and raised his hand toward her, "Hello, I am Mingyu Zhang. My daughter didn't mention a new lady friend." he said somewhat awkwardly, attempting to keep up his smile.
Behind him, Nao giggled and smirked at her father, "Girlfriend is fine, dad."
"Girlfriend, then."
"I'm Natsuki Kuga." the bluenette replied, shaking the man's hand and bowing lowly to him as well, "Nice to meet you. Nao's very excited to have dinner with you and reconnect."
Mingyu widened his smile towards her greatly, "Wonderful. You'll be joining us as well?" he asked hopefully.
Natsuki dropped her smile and raised her hands defensively, "I'm sorry, but I can't join you." she said quickly, looking towards the red head for help.
Nao tugged on her father's arm to get his attention and smiled up at him, "Daddy, she can't come tonight. She has things to do."
"But why not?" the man asked curiously, looking between the two women in earnest, "Thanks to my meeting with the B.T.C next week in Tokyo, I only have a short time here in Fuuka, and I'd like to know as much about your life here as possible, Nao." he said, focusing his attention on his daughter, "I may not have seen much but I saw enough to understand that Natsuki here means the world to you. If she's that important, then as your father, I reserve the right to make sure she'll take good care of you in the future."
The red head paused for a moment, her cheeks brightening to an adorable shade of pink, "W–Well, yea, she's important to me, but she has her own life and stuff, and–"
"I'd love to join you." Natsuki interrupted.
"Excellent!" Mr. Zhang exclaimed, nodding towards the two women, "Now then, when shall we go?" he asked.
Nao moved in front of him and smiled, "Daddy, can you give me a moment alone with Natsuki? We'll meet you in the living room and leave right after, okay?" she asked. The man readily agreed and left the room, closing the door behind him. As soon as he was gone the red head turned to her loved with raised brows, "The hell, Mutt? Don't you and Fujino have wedding shit to take care of?"
The bluenette nodded with a soft shrug, "Well, he didn't recognize me at all, not even my name. And you, me, and Shizuru all know I hate that shit. I can't sit with wedding planners for hours on end looking at hundreds of different napkins!" she said loudly, putting her hands on the red head's shoulders and looking at the woman pleadingly, "Please, don't make me endure the torture that is periwinkle pink!" she exclaimed as she shook the woman.
Laughing and brushing the offending hands away, Nao smiled at her girlfriend and nodded, "Okay, fine. You call Fujino and I'll get you a nicer shirt. Deal?"
"Deal. Thank yooou." Natsuki said happily, returning to the bedside to call her fiancé.
Thankfully, Shizuru was very understanding of her fiancé's dislike for periwinkle and agreed it'd be better if Natsuki discussed her groomsmen with her old high school best friend. Though she would have preferred Natsuki know more of the intricate details pertaining to their wedding, she knew forcing the bluenette to take an interest would be impossible.
Thankfully, her plans for the meeting with Mr. Kaung were running smoothly. She, Natsuki and her Father would meet the man for a dinner to get to know each other. The two men could discuss business to their hearts content, and all she and Natsuki had to do was be as in love as they normally were, and the Beijing contract was theirs. Plus, the outfit Mai helped Natsuki pick out was perfect. Together, they would look like the perfect elegant couple sure to win over the trust of the Beijing Trading Company.
Even better, their wedding was sure to be the event of the year. Her father was taking care of certain aspects, such as the location and parts of the guest list, as well as the formality of it all. Napkins, flowers and dishes were a chore, one that she tolerated more than Natsuki, but they had to be done and Shizuru was happy to do them. So long as her special day was perfect, and she and Natsuki were able to live happily ever after, she would be happy.
Mingyu laughed happily and slapped his knee, smiling widely at the woman across from him, "And how did that work out for you?" he asked, glancing at his daughter, who was stifling giggles behind her hand.
Natsuki pouted and crossed her arms over her chest, "I knew the chances were slim but it was a dream! The name Ducati will be mine!"
"Of course it will, love." Nao said, putting a comforting hand over her lover's, "We'll rig the lottery for you, okay?"
"Ah ah, Nao, that wouldn't be right." her father said, raising a single finger at her with a sly smile, "It'd be far less risky to simply buy the majority of tickets and allow Natsuki here her share in the winnings."
The bluenette grinned and began nodding her head in agreement with the man, "Yes, that, let's do that. Can we do that?" she asked, turning towards Nao.
The younger woman smiled in return and nodded, "Anything for you, my love."
"Yes!" Natsuki cheered for herself.
Mingyu smiled at his daughter and her girlfriend, the two of them together filling him with pride. Indeed, after his wife died from a short, but painful battle with cancer, he had turned on his family and blamed his daughter for her death. Nao had never visited her mother in the hospital, mostly out of fear, and resentment grew within him for his daughter's lack of empathy. But now that they'd discussed things, he knew now that she didn't visit because she didn't want to see her mother in such a state. The woman wanted to remember her mother as she had been, healthy and happy, and for that, the man could not blame her.
When Nao contacted him in an effort to reconnect, he jumped at the chance. His workers had been looking for her throughout Tokyo for months, and knowing his daughter was safe and happy in Fuuka relieved him more than anything else. He'd treated her so shamefully, and felt so regretful about his behavior, but having her back meant the world to him. Especially seeing her so happy in the hands of a woman that seemed reliable, respectful and loving. He hadn't seen her smile in such a way since she was a small girl in Beijing. Mr. Zhang raised his hand and waved at a waiter, mouthing an order of champagne.
Looking back towards his daughter, he saw her and Natsuki leaning closer to each other, whispering and giggling to themselves. He swelled with pride again, knowing that even though he'd messed up in the past, Nao had found happiness in Fuuka. A few moments later, the waiter returned to their table with chilled champagne and three glasses, setting them down as he opened the bottle.
"Mr. Mingyu Zhang." a man spoke, approaching the table. He stopped nearby and smiled down at them all, "I saw you across the room and brought myself over to offer a hello. I didn't expect to see you before our meeting in Tokyo."
Nao's father quickly stood from the table and shook the man's hand with a wide grin, bowing a bit, "Mr. Kaung, what a nice coincidence meeting you here." he spoke. Natsuki felt her stomach instantly drop in fear as she gazed up at the man before their table. She was supposed to meet him tomorrow, with Shizuru, as the woman's fiancé, not here, now, with her mistress! "Allow me to introduce you to my daughter, Nao, and her girlfriend, Natsuki Kuga."
The bluenette quickly snapped out of her thoughts and bowed to the man across the table, offering him as pleasant a smile as she could muster. Mr. Kaung offered them all a pleasant smile, his attention zeroing in on Nao, "So nice to meet you, Ms. Zhang. I'm sorry to say that I had heard a few nasty rumors as of late, but I'm glad to see that they were not true."
Mr. Zhang raised a soft hand and bowed his head, "Actually sir, they were not all untrue. Though I don't know what you had heard, Nao and I both recently lost her mother to cancer." he said, pausing to accept the other man's sympathetic smile, "It caused a great rift between my daughter and I, but I would sacrifice anything for her happiness. At first I was saddened by her choice to dismiss the family business, but as you can see, she has found happiness here in Fuuka, and I could hope for a better outcome to our hardships."
The other man smiled softly at nodded at him, "My condolences for your wife, Mingyu-san. It is comforting to know that you and your daughter have worked everything out."
Nao leaned forward to gather the man's attention, smiling up at him, "Thank you, Mr. Kaung. It was actually Natsuki here that convinced me to resolve past transgressions with my father. Thanks to her, our family is whole again." she said, smiling lovingly at her girlfriend, regardless of the fact that she was taking complete advantage of a shitty situation.
Unable to help herself, Natsuki blushed and relaxed a bit, returning her lovers smile as she laced their fingers atop the table. Before she could respond, Mr. Kaung interjected with his own comment, "My… nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy couple, especially two young women so obviously in love. There is no greater meaning to mankind."
Nao took her eyes off her love for a moment to smile at the man, "Would you like to join us for dessert, sir?"
"I'd love to." he responded, nodding towards her, "Simply allow me to pay the check at my other table and I'll join you shortly." he said, bowing slightly before leaving them again.
With the man gone, Natsuki pulled the red head beside her close and spoke in hushed whispers, "Nao, what the fuck am I supposed to do?! I can't meet with him tomorrow! Not if he already knows I'm with you!"
The red head rolled her eyes and responded in whispers as well, "No shit, Sherlock. Look, I'm sorry things ended up like this, I really am, but I can't change anything now. You need to tell Shizuru that you can't help her with the contract anymore, break up with her, and move on." she said simply.
"But–"
"But nothing." Nao interrupted, glaring slightly, "You can't keep playing this game, Natsuki. I know you don't want to hurt Fujino, and you still love her in a way, but you're mine now. You told me I was the woman of your dreams and made me fall in love with you – harder and faster than anything I've ever felt before." she spoke, softening her gaze a bit and tightening her hold on the woman's hand, "If any of that is true, you need to tell Fujino the wedding is off. Tomorrow."
Natsuki sighed. Nao was right – blunt and rude, but right. She'd been dragging out the breakup with Shizuru for over a week now and she was running out of time. Her wedding was Friday, and she couldn't marry a woman she was no longer in love with.
'I'm so fucking dead.' she thought.
Natsuki opened the door to her apartment slowly, waving goodbye to Nao at the end of the hall. Dinner had gone perfectly. She was as charming and loving as she knew Nao wanted her to be. She'd spent days prepping for the dinner with Mr. Kaung and, even if her character had a different partner, she'd played her part perfectly. Granted, she'd been practicing with Shizuru, but none of that mattered now. The old man loved her, Nao's father loved her, Nao loved her, and tomorrow, her fiancé would hate her.
Running her hands down her face, she took off her shoes, wobbling forwardly slightly as the alcohol in her system threw her balance off. Her cheeks were warm, and most likely red, but she was exhausted. If she was lucky, Shizuru would be asleep and she could just pass out as soon as her head hit the pillow. Strewn over the dining room table were pictures and catalogs filled with pink napkins, making her sneer slightly. It was as if their presence directly mocked her as being a failure of a fiancé and lover. Approaching her room, she saw the door was cracked with a thin light escaping into the hallway.
She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before stepping forward and pushing the door open. Shizuru was laying in bed, reading a book by the light of her bedside lamp. The brunette looked up at her and smiled easily, "Ara, welcome home, my Natsuki-chan. I didn't hear you come in." she spoke.
The bluenette shrugged, quickly pulling her shirt over her head as she crossed the room, "Sorry for coming home so late. You didn't need to stay up." she said, sitting on her side of the bed.
Shizuru closed her book and set it down, leaning towards her fiancé. She'd been waiting up for her Natsuki to come home since she needed to know how many groomsman were coming. She wasn't sure if Mikoto or any of the bluenette's new friends had been added to the wedding. In fact, Natsuki didn't talk about the wedding at all… at least, not if she wasn't asked about it. 'I hope my Natsuki-chan isn't getting cold feet…' she thought to herself.
Scooting behind her fiancé, the brunette placed her hands on the woman's shoulders and pressed her thumbs into the muscle there. Natsuki's head lulled back almost immediately, a soft sigh escaping parted lips. Shizuru continued her massage, applying more and more pressure as she worked her way down the woman's back, grunts or sighs of approval coming from her fiancé often. Leaning forward, the Kyoto woman smirked as she prepared to whisper into her lovers ear, but stopped. Natsuki smelled like perfume. Natsuki didn't wear perfume. Smile falling, Shizuru mentally slapped herself. Natsuki had gone to dinner with Chie, so perhaps Aoi had come along with them, and a bit had rubbed off on her Natsuki. Regaining her confidence, she kissed the bluenette's ear and whispered, "Finish undressing and lay down."
Natsuki followed her commands, albeit a bit slowly; usually the bluenette was more than eager for any type of massage. But nevertheless, Shizuru couldn't contain her endless excitement at the sight of the naked bluenette laying on the bed before her. Hoisting herself over the smaller woman, she continued her work on the woman's lower back, taking her hands down to the luscious thighs below and began massaging them as well. The bluenette sighed once more, sinking further into their bed.
Sliding her hands lower, Shizuru massaged her girlfriend's calves, smirking slightly when the bluenette's legs twitched apart slightly. Unable to stop herself, she leaned down and planted soft kisses over the back of the woman's thighs. Delightfully, Natsuki's legs spread a little more, this time of her own doing. The brunette above her licked her lips hungrily, moving her hands to her fiancé's hips and pulling her up slightly, leaning forward and licking the lush pink pussy before her. The bluenette sighed gratefully, urging her on by raising her hips and spreading her legs further.
Shizuru hadn't been so sure of her Natsuki just a week ago. The bluenette kissed her differently, tasted different, and seemed so distant. At the same time, however, her fiancé was racked with dirty dreams nearly every night, and yet their sex life didn't improve much unless she herself initiated it. But over the past few days, Natsuki had been much more attentive to her. The bluenette seemed happier, less bored, and took Shizuru to bed nearly every night; especially last Saturday when their bed was kept warm and messy from noon to the next day.
Pushing her tongue inside her fiancé, Shizuru smirked to herself when she heard a muffled whimper, and so began swirling her tongue about to taste as much of the bluenette as possible. She was rewarded with a hearty moan and a husky voice, "'Zuru, stop teasing… I'm already frustrated as it is…" Natsuki pleaded. Emerald eyes over flushed cheeks were looking back at her, dark and completely coated in lust.
Frustrated? They'd had sex just two nights ago. 'No, Shizuru, stop doubting her. My Natsuki-chan has come back to me. I must have no worries.' she thought to herself as she nodded at her fiancé, "As you wish." she said softly. The brunette fingers and ran them over the pussy before her, making sure they were plenty wet before lowering them to the woman's clit. Finger on either side of the small bud, she pressed them together and swiftly moved her fingers back and forth. Natsuki's hips bucked almost instantly, and she moaned several times in quick secession into the pillow before her. "Stay still." Shizuru ordered, leaning down and returning to tongue to its favorite place where it was pushed and warmed by the pulsating muscles around it.
"So, what's up this time, Kuga?" Chie asked as she sat down on their small table in the diner. Her best friend had made an urgent phone call sometime in the early morning essentially ordering her to come out for breakfast. Natsuki sounded like a zombie on the phone; a literally empty shell of a person. Across from her, the soon-to-be-wed woman had bags under her eyes and a deep set frown, "I take it the wedding plans are killing you?" she asked.
The bluenette sighed heavily, letting her shoulders slump forward, "I'm calling off the wedding this afternoon." she said slowly.
"What?!" Chie nearly yelled.
A woman in a blue uniform stopped beside their table, raising two extremely thin eyebrows at the women, "...So what can I get you two?" she asked, pulling a notepad a pen from her waistband.
Natsuki answered her, "Two coffees." she said with a wave of her hand.
The woman nodded and walked away, leaving the taller woman to sit there staring at her friend with her mouth agape, "Why now? I thought you were going to try to wait until after that important dinner so Fujino could get his precious contract." she asked.
Their server returned with two mugs and a pot of fresh coffee, forcing them to stay quiet as she poured their drinks and gave them a bit of cream and sugar. When she was finished, she fished out her notepad once more and looked at the women, "So, what else can I get for you?" she asked.
"Not hungry..." Natsuki muttered.
All eyes on Chie, the charcoal haired woman shrugged and picked up the menu before her, "I on the other hand actually have an appetite." she said, flashing a charming smile on their server as she went on, "Can I get your traditional American breakfast, with extra cheese on the eggs?"
"Toast or breakfast muffin?"
"Muffin. No butter. Strawberry jam."
"You got it." the woman said with a nod, snapping her notepad closed and leaving the women in peace once more.
Clapping her hands and rubbing them together, Chie leaned forward onto the table and gave her friend a reassuring smile, "So, tell me what happened. You look like you didn't get any sleep. Up all night pacing to warm your cold feet?"
The bluenette shook her head guiltily, dropping her eyes, "'Zuru was pretty energetic last night."
"You're still sleeping with her?" the other woman asked with narrow eyes, "Oh man, you're going to blindside her."
"I couldn't help it, Nao got me worked up that afternoon." Natsuki muttered, taking a moment to take a few large gulps of black coffee, "I came home a little drunk last night and couldn't refuse her. I can't control myself when she starts those massages.."
Chie smirked slightly and leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms over her chest, "You do realize I'm going to need an exclusive on this, right? She's going to lose her shit."
"I know!" the bluenette agreed, "She's going to kill me!" she yelled. Chie simply laughed at her and urged her to relay what exactly had happened to make her call off the wedding before planned. "Well... I was with Nao yesterday at her apartment and her dad came over early–"
"Daddy Zhang?"
"Yea. He came over early and saw us together, so I had to introduce myself. He didn't recognize my name or anything and asked me to join them for dinner. It was either dinner or helping Shizuru pick out napkins–"
"Oh, boring."
"Can I talk?" the bluenette asked with raised brows. Her friend raised her hands in defense and shrunk into her seat, but nodded, so Natsuki went on, "Anyway, by sheer dumb luck or cosmic force, the CEO of the Beijing Trading Company just happened to be at the same restaurant and recognized Nao's dad, and came over to talk." she said, raising a finger to stop her friend stop speaking up before Chie interrupted again, "So... I couldn't lie in front of daddy Zhang and had to introduced myself to Kaung as Nao's girlfriend, and spent the night eating chocolate cake and drinking champagne with them. I mean it was great, and meeting Nao's dad went ten times more smoothly than meeting Mr. Fujino, but I'm still in a shit storm. The dinner with Shizuru was supposed to be tonight, but I can't be her fiancé if the man already knows I'm with Nao. So… I have to end everything today."
"Here you go." their server said as she approached the table. She put a large plate of eggs, breakfast meats and hashbrowns in front of the taller girl, who licked her lips eagerly. "Anything else I can get you two?" she asked quickly.
Chie smiled at the woman but shook her head, "We're good for now." she said, watching the woman walk away before turning back to her friend and smiling easily, "So, you've dug yourself a pretty big grave. Eight days before your wedding and you need to break it off because you helped your mistress get a contract Fujino's been clawing for."
The bluenette sighed heavily, setting her forehead slam against the table in front of them, "I know." she muttered into the table.
Eating a bit of egg and bacon, the taller woman reached forward and pet the blue hair in front of her, smiling at her distraught friend a bit, "...So how's Nao? I bet she's pretty excited for you to call everything off."
"Yea, she's been bugging me two for a while now." Natsuki spoke, her words muffled by the table before her, "She thinks her dad will get the contract now that Kaung met me as her girlfriend."
"I wouldn't doubt it, that guy's known throughout the business world for being a love-story-sucker; I did an article on him when the B.T.C started doing business in Japan. You and Nao are so adorable to each other. I'm surprised he's still planning on meeting the Fujinos at all." she admitted, sipping her coffee. Removing her hand from her friend, she went right back to her meal, stuffing her cheeks full of muffin and sausage.
Natsuki raised her head, glancing out the window for a while, "That's because he thinks he's meeting Shizuru and the oh-so-perfect fiancé."
Chie offered her friend a pity smile, "You really need to stop beating yourself up over this."
The bluenette responded with a flat glare, "How can I not? Shizuru's going to freak, she'll hate me, and they're going to lose the contract! I've ruined everything."
"Okay, yea, you fucked up." Chie said, glaring right back, "You shouldn't have gotten so comfortable with Fujino that you wouldn't realize you'd fallen out of love with her. You shouldn't have let her push up the wedding. But you had no control over the dreams you had, or who was in them. Nao makes you happy, doesn't she?"
Hanging her head a bit to hide her blush, Natsuki nodded, "Yea..."
"Then fuck everything else." Chie said, running a hand through her hair and smirking at her friend, "Don't ruin a chance to be happy with your literal dream girl just to spare Fujino's feelings. Seriously, life is way better when you stop relying on other people for your own happiness. Tell that to Fujino when you brutally snap her heart in two."
"I can't tell if you're helping or not." Natsuki said, narrowing her eyes a bit at her friend.
Chie smirked right back at her, a wide grin break out over her face, "I'm your best friend. I'll support you through thick and then, but you're still being really shitty." she said, growing serious and leaning forward, putting a hand on the bluenette's, "Go easy on Shizuru, man, she's loved you since high school. This is only okay because you're genuinely doing it for love."
"I'll do my best." Natsuki responded, slapping the other woman's hand away with a light laugh. Shizuru could no doubt do just fine without her, and her father had built himself an empire so he could handle not getting a single contract. Nao did make her happy – so ridiculously happy – to the point where she was often reminded of the mentality she'd had in high school. Finding her was a dream come true; in so many wonderful ways.
Looking up at the building before her, Natsuki took a deep breath in a sad attempt to slow her heart. Inside, everyone greeted her as usual. She didn't visit Shizuru at work often, but when she did, everyone treated her as if she herself was an executive board member, the same position as her fiancé. This time, however, their respect and admiration made her feel sick. When she left the building, it was going to be in shame and misery. The elevator ride to the top of the building was way too long, the cheery music playing in the background made her head hurt, the people coming on and off as she made her way to the top, with happy smiles and eager conversations, made her anxious, and the thought of Shizuru's reaction made her constantly feel like her stomach was sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Nothing about this was going to be okay.
In an empty elevator, Natsuki watched the numbers climb to her destination. When the doors dinged and opened, she was tempted to hit the Parking Lot button and flee, but forced herself to step off. Down the hall, beyond many offices and cubicles, she found herself staring at the door with her fiancé's name on it. Slowly raising her hand, she knocked twice, hearing an almost immediate answer from within, "Come in."
The bluenette opened the door slowly, quickly finding Shizuru. The brunette stood alone in the large office before a mirror, trying on her dress of their dinner. It was a long, black dress, simple and elegant. Around her waist was a thin red leather belt that accentuated her curves beautifully. The woman turned to see her fiancé there staring at her and smiled widely, her wine colored eyes lighting up excitedly, "Ara, my Nat-su-ki-chan has come to visit. What do you think?" she asked, lifting her dress just a bit and twirling around.
Natsuki stepped into the office and closed the door behind her, smiling a bit at her fiancé, "You look beautiful..." she said, slowly crossing the office and stopping a few feet from the other woman, "Listen, I wanted to talk to you about tonight. And, some other stuff…"
The brunette nodded obliviously, closing the distance between the two and reaching for her lover's hands, "What is it, love?" she asked, leaning down to peck the bluenette's lips quickly. Natsuki didn't respond, but the older women paid no mind and moved to sit behind her desk, "Everything is ready for tonight, my love. All you need to do is meet me and my father at the restaurant before Mr. Kaung comes to visit."
"About that..." Natsuki muttered, following her fiancé to the desk, "I uh... I can't make it tonight."
Shizuru stopped all her movements immediately, raising her eyes to stare at the other woman in confusion, "And why not?"
That complex and over analyzing stare unnerved her to no end. Natsuki shifted on her feet and struggled with an answer, unsure of what to say without unleashing the rage she knew resided within the usually calm Kyoto woman. Without saying a word, Shizuru stepped around the corner of her desk, reaching towards her. The bluenette flinched, but felt a small tug on her shirt collar. Looking down, she saw that Shizuru was running her thumb over a barely visible mark on her shirt, her thumb tinted red when she pulled it away, "I don't believe I own this shade of lipstick." she muttered softly, the mysterious perfume reappearing in her mind, the disappearing wine, the world famous designer her biker girlfriend would never, ever know about, "My Natsuki is keeping secrets, isn't she?"
With great difficulty, the bluenette leaned away and swallowed the large lump in her throat, "Yes." she admitted. Jesus, how could she not notice the lipstick on her collar? What other things had she managed to let slip before her fiancé?
Stepping back, Shizuru calmly sat down behind her desk and stared at the other woman with a completely blank face, devoid of any and all emotion, "Is it Chie?" she asked.
Natsuki blinked, shaking her head immediately, "N-No..." she paused, quickly deciding the woman didn't need to know anything about Nao, "I... I'm sorry, Shizuru. I didn't mean to hurt you, I j–"
"I thought you were mine." Shizuru interrupted, her voice as flat as her expression, "You were so distant and cold, for so long. I thought that you'd come back to me. Instead you were knuckle deep inside some whore." she said. The bluenette bit down on her tongue to keep quiet. She wanted to argue, defend Nao, and make her point, but there was no use. Shizuru was masking her emotions to seem in control – Fujino's know their business and know control. "Since when?" the brunette asked.
Natsuki lowered her eyes a bit as she answered, "...Just over a week."
The stoic woman nodded slowly, eyes darting to meet the guilty emerald ones across her desk, "Do you love her?"
"...I do." the bluenette answered, "I don't expect you to understand, Shizuru. I feel like shit for lying to you, and doing this to you. I'm so sorry I took so long to call off the wedding but–" she spoke, her words running on even though Shizuru heard nothing. The older woman heard nothing after wedding. She'd lost her. Natsuki was everything she'd wanted, even since high school, and now she had nothing. Her one love… gone.
"Get out." Shizuru said lowly, interrupting her still rambling ex-fiancé. Natsuki paused, confusion flowing over her features as she stood in front of the desk. Slamming her palms against the wood before her, Shizuru stood, knocking over her chair in the process, "Get out!" she yelled. The bluenette took a single step back, but wasn't moving fast enough. "Out! Get out!" Shizuru screamed, grabbing pens off her desk and throwing them at the other woman.
She threw pens, pencils, her coffee mug, smashing ceramic against the door as the bluenette slipped through and closed it behind her, running with her tail between her legs. Shizuru threw things long after she was gone, emptying her desk of her mouse, its pad, her keyboard, and even pushing her computer off the ledge of the desk and using the keyboard to mash it to bits. She ripped every drawer out of her desk and emptied their contents by flinging them across the room, and pushing her now empty desk over. Around the room she went, ripping pictures and paintings off the walls and smashing them. The love seat on the corner of the room was stabbed with pens and ripped open, covering that section of the room with stuffing and ripped fabric. Picking up her forgotten chair, Shizuru swung it in her arms and let it smash against the window, causing the thick glass to crack loudly.
Her room a mess, items and electronics smashed to bits, and rage depleted, the newly single Kyoto woman slowly sank to her knees, wrapping her arms around herself, and began to sob.
Nao took a mug from her cabinet and placed it on the counter beside her stove, twisting around and quickly moving towards her fridge. Jeez, Natsuki was being such a crybaby. She'd come back about an hour ago blabbering about the break-up, that Shizuru hated her and that the brunette had a screaming meltdown. Opening the small door before her, the red head retrieved her milk carton. Kicking the door shut, she then when to her pantry and found a tea packet, honey and bread for some toast.
The red head put the packet in the mug and smothered the bag with boiling water from her stove, poking it with a spoon as she dove further into her thoughts. Until about an hour ago, her day was going swimmingly. Her father had called her early that morning and they met for tea, her old man droning on endless about how much he and Mr. Kaung talked after the girls had left. They were given compliment after compliment from the business man praising the connection the two women had and how nice of a family they made.
Duh. Nao didn't need some old geezer to tell her that. But what did make her happy was knowing that Natsuki got her father's approval. In fact, her dad was already asking her when the two of them would be moving home. By home, he meant Beijing. It'd still be hard to return to that city without her mother there, but now that her father had apologized and put an effort into their relationship, she didn't have much of a reason to stay in Fuuka... other than Natsuki.
And Natsuki didn't have a job, a fiancé, and not too many close friends besides the tall whore. Stupid suave bitch trying to make her jealous. "Kami, Nao, try thinking about puppies. You look like you're ready to curb stomp a baby." Mai called from the living room.
Mikoto, who was getting a head massage from the older woman as she laid across the couch, turned over onto her back and sat up to face Nao, "Try one of Mai's massages! They'll put you to sleep!" she said happily, throwing her hands up and flopping onto her stomach again in such a cute way Mai had to bite her lip to contain her aww's.
"Yea, something like that..." Nao muttered. She leaned forward onto the counter and looked at her friends pleadingly, "How am I supposed to console her? I don't think I can hide the fact that I'm fucking ecstatic that she broke up with Fujino, or that my dad's going to be raking in millions from Beijing."
Mai just shrugged at her, "No idea. I mean, its not like she's lost anything. She didn't love Fujino anymore, right? Plus, she has you. Just give her time to forget."
The red head looked towards the ceiling and smiled guiltily, "So my daddy's pestering me to move back to Beijing now that we're all happy and dandy…"
"Oh, so you're leaving her." Mai said in a hushed tone, glaring down her friend, "Seriously, Nao? I'd rather you curb stomp a baby than break that girls heart twice!"
"Meany Nao!" Mikoto agreed.
"Thanks so much." the red head deadpanned. Now Natsuki was curled up in her bed, probably still crying, and was a completely wreck. And wanted tea. Nao sighed and went to retrieve the toast, smothering it in honey before stirring a large glob of the golden nectar and a bit of milk into the tea. Holding the snack carefully, she went to her bedroom and kicked the door open slowly, seeing blue hair poke out from under her bed covers, "Oi, Kuga, up and at 'em." she said bluntly, putting the plate and mug on the bedside table.
Natsuki pulled the covers down and yawned, lazily running fingers through her hair to contain the mess, "Sorry, I fell asleep."
Looking at her girlfriend's puffy eyes, Nao smiled sympathetically, "It was inevitable, you know. There was no probable scenario in which Fujino came out of this happy." she reasoned.
The woman on the bed just groaned in return, "I know but that doesn't mean I'll feel less shitty."
"Well hurry up and try. I made you a snack since you told me about avoiding all food today. Eat it soon so you'll be hungry enough for drinks tonight." the red head said.
Natsuki groaned again and let her head fall back, "Why can't you just let me wallow in it." she whined
"Because you're making me sad and I hate it. I hate when you're sad. It pissed me off." Nao said with narrowed eyes.
The bluenette on the bed sipped the tea and eventually nodded, "Okay. Sorry for being such a depressing pain."
"Apology accepted." the red head responded with a smile. After a few moments, Natsuki smiled back, though it didn't reach her eyes. Sighing once more, the red head crawled onto the other side of the bed and laid there, putting a hand over the bluenette's free one and lacing their fingers, "Listen, I don't know if I can love you as much as Shizuru; she worshiped the ground you walked on. But I can make you a million times happier. All I need is for you to let her go, and focus on me instead. I can't make you happy if you permanently inhabit my bed."
The bluenette chuckled a bit as she chewed her toast. Slowly, she slid down the bed and wrapped herself around her girlfriend, nuzzling her nose against the back of Nao's neck, "I'll try. But I need you to give me time, okay?"
Nao giggled at the sensation and nodded, pushing herself closer to the woman, "Deal. Now keep eating."
"You sound like Mai."
"Shut up, Mutt."
"Fuck off, Spider."
"...I love you."
"Nao, quit it with the sauce!" Mai yelled, trying to to grab the small white bottle from the red head before all of their food was ruined. She managed to take hold of the woman's wrist and pull the bottle free, but it was quickly taken from her by Natsuki, who immediately gave it back to the red head. Mai crossed her arms over her chest as the beef kabobs were smothered in spicy sauce, "Don't come crying to me when your tongue burns black."
Nao smirked in return, "It's just spice. Not like anyone's going to lick the grill." she teased, making sure to leave two kabobs on the end of the grill for the busty woman.
"Just keep it away from the last of my chicken." Chie said, pushing the nearly done beef to the side to make way for her favorite. She smothered them in soy sauce and pretended not to notice the glare she was receiving from a certain woman. Instead, she focused on her friend and grinned, "Damn, so good to hang out with you, Kuga. I'm kinda surprised you're not sulking like you used to in high school." she said, tipping a bit of sake through her lips.
The bluenette chuckled slightly and nodded, "I wasn't allowed." she explained, motioning towards her girlfriend, who grinned proudly, "Thanks for coming out," she said, patting her food baby proudly and grinning lazily towards her best friend, "You too, Aoi."
Blue eyes beside Chie smiled happily at her, "I'm happy to come out, Natsuki. I can't remember the last time I had gyu-kaku this good." she said happily, taking a bite of vegetables and rice.
"Mmmm this looks done." Nao muttered, taking one of her kabobs from the grill and smiling eagerly.
"It looks good…" Mikoto muttered. The red head woman smirked and took another kabob, handing it to the drooling girl. The two grinned at each other and toasted with their kabobs, taking huge bites. Almost immediately they both spit it onto their plates, yelling "HOT". Mikoto took the nearest cup and drained it all, trying to quell the spiciness of the food. Nao's tongue was stuck out in the air, cooling off from the temperature of the food, but not the spice.
Mai smirked triumphantly at the red head, "What's wrong, Nao, I thought you liked it hot?"
Beside her, Mikoto lowered her glass and hiccupped, smiling up lazily towards her girlfriend, "Mai, I feel sleepy..."
Holding back her laughter, Natsuki took the large white bottle from the small woman and pouted as best she could, "Well, there goes the last of the sake."
"Aw, man!" Nao whined. She retrieved her kabob once more and blew on it for a bit, then took a large bite and grinned happily as she leaned against her girlfriend, "I guess we'll just have to hit a bar next."
Mai smiled a bit sadly at her friend, "You guys go ahead, I should probably take Mikoto home." she said, pointing down at her lap. The cat-like girl was curled up on her thighs, already deeply asleep. The woman smiled a bit and ran her fingers through the black spiky hair, "Sake makes her cuddly and sleepy."
"Makes me thirsty." Chie muttered, drinking the rest of her small glass and turning towards her wife, "What do you say, round two?" she asked.
The brunette smiled and nodded, kissing the tall woman quickly, "Sure."
Chie smirked and looked towards Nao, "Sweet. We're in." she said, grabbing the last of her chicken and quickly finishing it.
All the woman cleaned up, finishing the last of their food and drinks to continue their adventure. Mai said her good-byes and pulled Mikoto along, the smaller girl barely able to keep up without swaying and snoozing for a few seconds. The rest of the women relocated to a nearby bar just down the street. Natsuki opted for taking it slow and just got a beer, though Nao decided it was time to try and show up Chie by challenging her to a drinking contest. Against Aoi's wishes, the woman agreed. Three beers, two shots, a cup of warm sake for each woman and Nao had to drop out after her first taste of tequila.
Chie shot up from her seat in victory, wobbled slightly, then smirked at the dizzy red head, "The victor is me!" she exclaimed, dropping back into her seat and smiling drunkenly at her wife, "Victory kiss?"
Aoi ignored her and rolled her eyes, instead looking towards Natsuki, "They're idiots."
"At least yours doesn't hold a grudge." the bluenette said, wrapping an arm around her girlfriend's waist and keeping her woman stable. Her phone on the table lit up and vibrated. Leaning over, Natsuki saw that she had one new text from Shizuru and immediately released the red head, picked up her phone and checked what was there. "…I need to get my things from the apartment by tomorrow night or she's tossing it all." she muttered sadly, lobbing her phone back onto the table in a huff.
The phone slid across and fell onto Chie's lap, the taller woman handing it back to the bluenette sadly, "Need some help packing?" she asked.
"She couldn't give you more time?" Aoi asked, "Can you move everything in a single day?"
"Well, it is just down the hall." Nao added, shrugging slightly, "I bet we can do it,.."
"When you're sober." Natsuki told the red head, who stuck her tongue out in return.
Chie raised her brows at the woman, "I just realized you've had three beers, Kuga. This night is supposed to be about getting you drunk." she said, quickly raising her hand and calling over a server, "We need four double scotches and a round of shots."
Two hours later, a very drunk Natsuki helped an even drunker Nao into a cab, waved goodbye to Chie and Aoi, and plopped herself on the seat. She told the driver her address and then leaned her head back, attempting to rest. But as soon as she did it felt like she was floating through space, her equilibrium completely thrown off and her stomach dropping as if she'd been on a rollercoaster. Jumping upright with a start, she sighed and leaned forward slightly.
When she opened her eyes again she saw Nao was half-asleep on her lap and they were already halfway to their apartment. Drunk. So very, very drunk. Reaching over, she ran her fingers through the red hair before her and smiled lazily, her happiness growing when two lime eyes opened and stared at her, "Hey."
Nao hummed, rolled onto her back completely and returned the woman's smile, "Hi. We got–... um... drunk."
Natsuki nodded, grinning drunkenly and nodded, "Yea..."
Blue hair moved above her face and tickled her ear, making the red head shift slightly and giggle, "Quiiit." Realizing what she was accidently doing, the bluenette leaned further down and moved her head around, earning herself more giggles and squeaks. Nao stopped the movements and leaning up slightly, kissing her girlfriend before plopping her heavy head back down, "Hi." she repeated.
"Hey." Natsuki responded. She continued to smile a she looked up and out the window. It was slightly fogged up, and everything outside was shiny, but the city looked pretty. Just across the street she could see the restaurant where she was supposed to be eating dinner with the Fujinos and Kaung. Oh no, they were outside. The woman strained her eyes to see her ex-fiancé outside of the restaurant, smiling and shaking hands with the Beijing Business man, alongside her father. They looked happen enough Maybe the contract talks went okay.
The image of the three disappeared as the light before them turned green and the cab pulled away. The window grew foggier, and the city shiny, and her thoughts hazier, and Natsuki wasn't sure if anything she'd seen was real anymore. But Nao was there on her lap; that was real.
Leaning against the kitchen counter, Nao sipped her water eagerly and sighed when she finished off the whole glass, turning towards the fridge to get more. As if moving wasn't enough of a chore, her head was pounding with a raging hangover. 'I guess I'm not as good of a drinker as I thought…' she thought to herself, remembering how Chie had finished everyone's last drink and still managed to walk herself to the cab. It was easy to forget her jealously over the charcoal-haired woman after that. Chie was just impressive as all hell.
"Nao, get in here!" Natsuki called from the bedroom.
The red head quickly downed as much water as she could before jogging to the bedroom. There, she found Mikoto sitting on top of a bulging suitcase that looked like it might launch the small girl through the ceiling. "Hop on!" Natsuki instructed her. She and Mai were holding the top of the suitcase down themselves. Nao quickly ran over and jumped on top, the bag barely moving down at her weight.
"Shit." Mai panted out, her arms weary from holding the bag closed, "Didn't think you'd have this big of a wardrobe."
"I don't, but I moved in with a tiny suitcase and Shizuru's bought me a lot of clothes over the years." the bluenette muttered, looking down at her things. She sighed and looked towards her girlfriend and Mikoto, "Okay, you guys bounce and we'll pull the zipper when you go down, alright? Just keep it steady." she said.
The smaller girls followed her instructions perfectly, she and Mai pulling the zippers closed on either side every time the bag dipped down from the two girls combined weight when they jumped. When it was finally done, Mai fell forward onto the bed in front of her and Natsuki fell back onto the floor, flexing her red and burning fingers. Nao high-fived Mikoto as the two climbed off the bag, going to help their girlfriends. Grabbing the bluenette's sore hand, Nao helped the woman up and grinned, "Is that the last of it?" she asked.
Natsuki looked upwards as she thought, "I think so… I never bought anything so it's not fair that I take anything besides my clothes, makeup, shoes and stuff."
"And your mayo reserves are at my place, anyway." the red head answered, making the woman before her grin happily.
A knock came to the bedroom door, and the four women turned to see Shizuru staring at them uneasily. Every one of them froze at the sight of the woman, Natsuki responding first with a nervous stutter as she quickly moved towards the door and away from her red head, "H-Hey 'Zu– ah, Fujino-san," she muttered awkwardly, "I just finished packing."
The brunette nodded, her eyes scanning the women in the room with extra time spent gazing at Nao, "I had assumed you'd be staying at Harada-san's home for the time being, or with you, Mikoto," she said, directing her attention to the two women on the bed and then to Nao, "I don't believe we've met."
Nao stepped around her bluenette and offered an extended hand, "That apartment is mine, actually, Mikoto's just staying with me. Mai's a perk. I'm Nao Yuuki. Nice to finally meet you, Fujino." she said with a confident smirk.
Shizuru shook the hand lightly and smiled pleasantly, her uncertainty of the situation dissolving as she took on a professional persona, "Please to meet you, Nao. I find it odd that I could have met Mikoto before you when she was living in your apartment this whole time. Have you known each other long?"
"Years." the red head said, smirking at the girl on the bed, who smiled bashfully, "I was actually in Tokyo for a while with my dad so she's been squatting for a few months. I feel pretty lucky to meet such a prominent business woman such as yourself." she said, smiling sweetly.
The brunette returned the smile and attempted to look thoughtful, "Well, thank you. Are you interested in the business sector?"
Nao nodded as a small smirk grew on her face, "Somewhat."
"Well, we should get going!" Mai said loudly, grabbing the red head and her girlfriend and quickly pulling the two of them from the room. Nothing about Nao's smile at that point made her feel comfortable and she got the feeling the woman was about to saying that she would very heavily regret.
Natsuki sighed in relief as Nao was dragged from the room. She turned her attention to Shizuru and smiled very awkwardly, moving towards the bed, "I'll get out of your hair…" she said, grabbing her suitcase. The other woman said nothing as she left the room.
As she grabbed her keys off the counter, Shizuru's voice rang out, "Natsuki." the brunette called. The bluenette paused and turned back, seeing cold and unforgiving wine eyes staring right back at her, "Leave the Ducati keys."
The bluenette stared, feeling her stomach clench and her heart twist painfully. That's low, Shizuru… Very carefully, she removed the Ducati key from her key ring and dropped in on the floor in front of her. She also took off her engagement ring and threw it across the room, letting it bounce off the wall behind Shizuru. The then turned and left without another word, slamming the apartment door on her way out.
Nao brushed her finger tips down her girlfriend's shoulder and back, the sleeping woman's muscles twitching beneath her. Grinning widely, she continued, pulling down the blanket enough to dip her fingertips down to the small of the woman's back, across her waist and back up her side. The sleeping woman shifted slightly, muttering into her pillow.
The red head pulled her hand back and leaned down instead, placing a few kisses along the woman's shoulder. Stirring a bit, the bluenette on the bed looked up with heavy emerald eyes and sighed, leaning up just enough to kiss her girlfriend before snuggling back into her pillow, "What time is it?" she asked.
Nao looked behind the bluenette and outside the windows to their penthouse apartment. Before the black sky backdrop were dozens of skyscrapers with lights of all colors twinkling brighter than any star. Kami it felt good being back in the city. Fuuka was fun, but... boring. It was good to be home. "I have no idea." she said, slowly looking down at her girlfriend again, "Four in the morning or something?"
"Is that a question?" Natsuki laughed. She rolled over on the bed, stretching her back out. As if on instinct, the red head slid down and began tracing shapes over her breasts. The bluenette raised her brows and chuckled a bit, "You should get some sleep, at least. Meeting tomorrow at noon."
The red head stopped her movements and pouted slightly, "I left Tokyo so I wouldn't be weighed down my responsibilities! And now we're in Beijing and I have responsibilities... I don't want to go." she whined, flopping onto her pillow pathetically and throwing her hands up.
"You literally have one meeting every two weeks."
"Go for me."
"And do what?"
"Easy!" Nao yelled, quickly sitting up and grinning widely, "Charm Kaung like you always do and make Fujino wish he was better at drafting business plans."
Natsuki frowned a bit, "He is good, that's why your father hired him."
The red head rolled her eyes, "Yea, with fifteen perfect profits. And that's only after I convinced daddy to consider offering Fujino a piece of the contracts."
"My Spider has a conscience after all." the bluenette joked. She pulled herself forward and placed her head on the woman's lap, smiling when Nao instinctively began running her fingers through her blue hair, "Thank you for doing that, though. Shizuru always complained that losing the contract would ruin their chances of expanding past Japan."
Nao leaned down and kissed her girlfriend's cheek, smiling as she pulled back a bit, "Well, I did steal you away after all. Kami, I'm glad I convince Mikoto to get your attention."
Natsuki immediately sat up and glared at the red head, "You made her almost run me down with that cart?!"
"You looked hot..." the red head defended, "Besides, I am the woman of your dreams, aren't I?" she asked, smirking a bit.
The bluenette smirked back and kissed her girlfriend quickly, "Yea, you are.." she muttered, falling on top of the red head as they kissed, and cuddled, and made out, and made love.
