The story became real for Miaka Yuuki the moment she turned the first page of the book.
One of the biggest adventures of her life began when she landed in the Empire of Konan, which was protected by the Phoenix God Suzaku.
Good things and bad things happened to her during her mission as the Priestess of Suzaku, but in the end she saved Konan and her own world from destruction and recovered her best friend Yui.
After the adventures inside the Universe of the Four Gods book, everything went back to normal and Miaka and Yui returned to their lives as middle-school students. They passed the exams and both were admitted to Yotsubadai High-School.
While Yui started a relationship with Tetsuya, Miaka was still waiting for Tamahome, her first love, who had promised to find her again in her world, no matter what. And he appeared three months later, as a new student in Keisuke's class.
Miaka's happiness couldn't be described in words and for the next six months her life was perfect, although she missed her other six warriors so much.
But the one she missed the most was Nuriko, who hated her at the beginning and then became her new best friend, Nuriko, who became a man again to protect her better and then fell in love with her and died so she could live and be happy with Tamahome.
His death broke her heart, a part of her died with him too, but she never realized it, until new feelings started to bloom inside her heart: feelings of love, the kind of love between a woman and a man.
She didn't want to accept those feelings, she was supposed to be with Tamahome and Nuriko was dead anyway. But her love for Nuriko grew more and more with each day that was passing by, to the point that she needed him so desperately that she couldn't deny it anymore.
Tamahome took the news better that she had expected and he told her that if he was reborn in her world, then Nuriko was out there too, for sure. He even promised to help her find him.
Three months later, Miaka was reunited with Nuriko and she found out that Tamahome met him a few days before he made his promise and asked him to stay away from her, which he did during the following three months until they finally met.
And so the story begins…
