Hi! I've decided, to get me out of hiatus mode, to only be writing this story for a while. I'd like to thank my two reviewers, three followers, and one favorite. Also, this was brought up in a review, someone asked if this story would be one where Riley runs away with the baby and Lucas doesn't know about it. Honest answer: I don't know. The way I write is improv, I barely have any plans for this story. I hope you guys like it!

Last time on Love Me As I Am...

"What would Ranger Rick like?" Maya asked, digging through the pile she had created on Riley's bed.

"Something appropriate." Riley told her blond friend. Maya let out a chuckle.

"Riles, have you met me?" Maya raised her eyebrows and continued digging through the pile. "Voila!" She held up a red crop top.

"Okay, I'll pick my clothes." Riley bounded towards her bed and pick up a flowy, floral dress and a pair of black leggings.

"I have to be home by nine!" Riley was putting on her dress, adjusting the sleeves so they weren't twisted around her arms. Lucas jumped out of bed and began getting dressed.

"I'll drive." He told her.

"Where were you?! You didn't call, you didn't write, you didn't-"

"She couldn't have written, it was only five minutes." Topanga interrupted.

"Fine." He grumbled, walking back to his room.

"I'm sick." Riley replied. Maya shook her head.

"You can't be sick! Without you there, I might get detention!" Maya groaned. "I can't do this 'life' thing without you. Up." Maya tried to pull the blankets off of her, but Riley held onto them.

"I'm sick Maya, you can handle life for a little while. Bring me my homework." Riley told Maya. Maya huffed, but left out Riley's door by herself anyway.

"I still need breakfast." Maya said as she walked down the hall towards the Matthews' kitchen.

One week later

Riley had stopped calling in sick the day after the first time. She ignored her throw up, it never happened at school, she usually felt fine. Though, this day, as she sat in her father's history class, the first class of the day, she felt a wave of nausea come over her.

"Oh no." She thought. She raised her raised her hand, she didn't want to attract more attention than she had to.

"Yes Riley?" Her father asked.

"May I go to the bathroom?" She asked, hopeful he would say yes.

"Yes." Her father said, handing her a hall pass. Riley walked out of the classroom, but she started to run when she reached the hall.

Inside the classroom, Mr. Matthews nodded to Maya that it was okay to follow her. Maya imeadietly rose from her seat and followed her best friend. She found her in the nearest bathroom, throwing up.

"Riles?" She asked, walking to the stall Riley was in.

"Yes?" A weak voice asked.

"Are you okay?" Maya asked, leaning against the stall door.

"Yeah, um, yeah." Riley replied, she brushed a brown strand of hair behind her ear and flushed the toilet.

"Have you been throwing up like this everyday?" Maya asked when her friend stepped out of the bathroom.

"Everyday this week." Riley admitted. She didn't meet her friend's eyes.

"Riley, are you late?" Maya asked.

"No, I'm always perfectly on time." Riley replied.

"No hun, is your period late?" Maya asked her friend, smiling slightly at her innocence.

"Yeah, it is." Riley replied after thinking about it for a moment.

"Riley?" Maya addressed her friend.

"Hmm?" Riley replied.

"I think you need to take a pregnancy test after school." Maya replied, she had never seen Riley look so scared.

"No." Riley gasped, her eyes wide.

"Riley..." Maya coaxed.

"I-it can't be." Riley replied. "I was on birth control, we used a condom, we-we-" she gasped. "I forgot to take my pill, the condom must have broken. Oh my god! Oh my god!"

"Riley, I'm here it will be alright." Maya watched her friend shrink to the floor.

"What's going to happen to me?" Riley asked.

"You're going to have a lot of people on your side." Maya replied, she hugged Riley.

Maya let Riley go straight home while she took the detour to the drug store. She went straight to the pregnancy test aisle and grabbed two. She tried not to draw attention to herself. She arrived at the cash register, only to find a judgmental, middle-aged woman.

"How un-traditional." The woman muttered.

"They're for my mom." Maya lied.

"Sure." The woman huffed.

"I'm not lying." Maya lied again.

Once she had gotten past checkout, with the tests hidden in a bag, she hopped into her car and drove to Riley's house.

Riley was pretty emotional the entire time, but rightly so. She went through it anyway.

"So, I just wait five minutes." Riley said, setting the tests on her dresser.

"That's what the package says." Maya replied. She guided Riley to her bed, sitting her on the end.

"What if it's positive?" Riley asked. She had tears in her eyes.

"We'll get through it Riles, we always have." Maya held her scared friend. Riley cried, this could ruin her life, how could she forget to take her pills?

"I'm so stupid." Riley sobbed.

"You made one mistake, that doesn't make you stupid." Maya soothed. Riley sat up, she stopped crying, but it was clear that she was terrified. "It will be okay."

The timer made a ringing sound and Riley stood up.

"One line for negative, two for positive." Maya told her friend, reading from the instructions on the box. Riley nodded and walked over to her dresser, picking up the pregnancy tests.

"Oh my god." Riley gasped, she dropped the test on the floor and sat down.

"What is it?" Maya asked, rushing towards her friend. She picked up the dropped test. There, on it, were two pink lines. "Oh my god." Maya gasped. She hugged her friend, her poor friend.

"We'll get through this Riles. Everything will be alright." Maya told her. Riley was shaking, her world had turned upside down.

I'm just going to leave that there. I'd like to say that I have lines separating the different parts of my story, but they keep disappearing. Lol. R&R.
