The first time Conner attempted to cook something was for M'gann's birthday, and he accidentally set the kitchen on fire. She rushed in, spoiling the 'surprise' that was supposed to be her dinner, and fell over laughing.
Conner sheepishly explained that it was for her birthday, and she had flung her arms around him, smiling brightly, and told him it was super sweet.
They went out to dinner that night, and when they came back Conner was grinning—grinning—and M'gann was gushing that it was the best birthday ever.
Later that week, the two could be seen in the kitchen; Conner treating multiple burns and M'gann on the floor in hysterics.
