10 years later...
Patrick is talking to his father asking about what life was about. His father replies with solidly with. "To die."
Patrick is shocked by this.
He never knew who his father really was, he knew he had a strange job but he never got as straight answer.
But today was different.
Today on his 16th birthday.
He got his answer.
"Dad what do you do for a job?" He asked
"I collect the damned and take then from life to death." His father said
What was his father saying? That he was death?
He must be going insane.
Patrick's brother Duncan came up behind them and asked what was happening and all he got in reply was.
We are the sons of death.
"Today you learn how to seize your abilities. You learn how to take a life." Death told them.
For the next 4 years the two of them were trained under their fathers instructions.
On Patrick's 20th birthday they were done. They were able to travel through limbo, the land of nothing, and our plane of existence. This was all to transfer the souls from life to death. The two of them were worried about why their father was teaching them because they were taught that he was immortal and had been doing this job since the dawn of time. So why did they need I know this. Because death was about to be give his power to his sons.
Death would be taken to limbo... By his own two sons. One half of him to heavens side the other to hells to experience both, never ending happiness and never ending torture for eternity. But would they be able to do it?
