Chapter Two

We had been driving for half an hour in silence. Questions were racing through my head. Where we going? Who was he? How did he appear in my dreams and then know that I had dreamt about him before I had ever met him?

'So care to tell us where you're taking me?' I said calmly.

He looked at me searching my face for something. What I didn't know

'Were going somewhere.' He said hesitantly 'do you remember anything?'

'Remember what?' I said confused 'you mean the dream?'

He sighed 'we have a lot of work ahead of us'

He looked sad when he said this. I grew more confused the more we spoke. It was like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle there was a key piece that was missing and without that piece nothing would fit properly to make the full picture. What was I missing?

'So if you're not going to tell me where going, can you explain what is going on you seem to know more about me that I do about you I see that as unfair disadvantage' I said quizzically

'if I were to tell the truth outright you might panic and do something' he replied softly

What?! I thought. Nothing about this situation was normal I had gone of with a complete stranger which was not like me at all, and the only reason I could give myself for going with was this familiarity and comfort I felt around him.

'Okay try me, you never know I might be surprised' I said calmly, trying to hide my eagerness for the truth.

He continued driving for a minute without a reply. He looked deep in thought. Finally he sighed and pulled over on the road. He turned to look at me.

'Are you sure?' he said quietly with a calm soft voice.

'Yes' I replied in the same quiet voice.

He stroked my hair away from face, and cupped my face in his hands. I felt a little apprehensive.
