Chapter 2: This is my life

Somewhere in the forest, there was a small cabin with a small river flowing behind it. Inside was a nice living room, a tidy kitchen, a small but good-looking bathroom, and a bedroom where Briar was sleeping. She has been living in that cabin ever since July. Today was October, and it was her 6th week of being in school.

Briar was sleeping in a king sized bed with her matching grey and red dotted pajama's. She was having the same dream she loved; Killing people she hated and think they can own her. She loved the taste of their blood in her sharp mouth and killing her tormentors again and again. Her alarm clock rang and Briar responded by slamming her hand gently on the clock to stop.

She got up and stretched her arms and back, yawning, "Well, that ended the fun."

She went to her dresser and got clothes for the day and took a quick shower. She didn't like icy cold showers because back in the orphanage, The headmistress only let her take cold bathes while the others get warm showers. Plus, the cold water makes her skin sting.

She got out and put on a grey sleeveless shawl that reached her thighs, a red tank top with a candy apple covered in red syrup and a piece of bloody meat with words saying, "So sweet, fresh meat", black tights and brown loose ankle boots. She combed her choppy bob hair a bit, and brushed her teeth before heading down for breakfast.

She ate sausage and waffles, before she gathered her stuff and put it in a black book bag with red designed roses and white butterflies on it. She made sure the doors and windows were locked and left through the front door. She ran all the way down to the road with her fast speed she gained and reached the sidewalk near the school. She made sure no one was looking or witnessing her powers and sighed in relief as it was clear for her to be okay now.

She made it to her school and went inside. She headed up to the 2nd floor and got to her locker. She grabbed her textbook for her first class and headed to her homeroom. She sat down and read a favorite book of hers and was silent for five minutes until the first bell rang. She putted away her book and got out her pencil case and textbook for class.

After morning, lunch came. She was heading out doors to go purchase lunch and come back to the school with her speed. But as soon as she reached to the doors, a voice spoke up to her.

"Hey, Rosie!" the voice said tauntingly

Briar stopped her tracks and didn't turn around to see who it was. She knew who it was because of that utterly ridiculous name, Rosie. It was a girl she knew, Micah. She was a spoiled and self-centered brat in her grade. She's only popular because her dad is a business partner of Mr. Morbucks and her mom is an actress for plays. She and Briar met when she asked her to do something for her and Briar rejected her that offer. Others were shocked because Nobody rejects her.

Others started to like Briar as followers and was in a tie breaker between Her and Micah for title as queen bee of this school. Briar sighed and asked, "What do you want, Micah?".

She grinned and said, "Oh, nothing, Just wanna ask where you're going?"

Everyone started to gather around Briar and Micah to witness their arguement. Briar looked back at Micah and grinned wickedly before chuckling, "Away from you, you spoiled and ugly mutt."

Everyone gasped as they saw the look on Micah's face. She doesn't like being called a mutt, and it was true on being ugly because she wears makeup for a girl at her age.

"You... I told you to never call me by that name!" Micah shouted as her face started turning red.

"Oh, I'm sorry~, I don't remember you owning me as a servant of your dog house!" Briar said sweetly before changing my tone to sarcastic anger.

"Oh, i do own you if you don't going rouge on me, or you'll have no choice, but to grip on my wrist until it breaks!" Micah snapped.

Briar grinned as she heard what she said at the end. Break.

"Hmm, you know what," Briar said as she walked up to her and grabbed her wrist and lifted it up in the air.

"That's what i'll do." Briar said as she squeezed hard, trying not to shatter her wrist that bad.

Everyone started a soft panic and watched as Micah struggled to free herself. Briar grinned and pushed her on the floor, freeing her. Micah started to tear up quietly as Briar opened the school doors.

Briar looked back, "Oh, and if i were you, I would shut my yapping mouth already." Briar then went outside and closed the doors.

Briar walked outside the school gates and used her fast ability to run to the store. She also wanted to get something else, pastry puffs. They were on sale everywhere, so she'll take the one at the park. She headed across part of the town and made it to the park. There were leaves turning orange and most have fell to the ground.

She walked around the park to find the pastry puff stand until she saw three girls surrounding a strange looking man. She got closer and can describe the three girls. One had pink eyes and orange hair with a red bow on her high ponytail, the other with blue eyes and blonde hair held up in pigtails, and the last had green eyes and messy, short, black hair. The three girls wore the same clothes, but each had a different color; red blue and green.

The man they were surrounding looked like a monkey, but with green skin, Black hair all over his body, and on the top of his head was a white helmet with purple stripes. He had a dark purple cape on too. Those three girls were pinning that poor man or monkey down, with cruel expressions on their faces. He must be in trouble. Like how Briar was all her life. Except nobody came, And she dealt with it. She's not letting some people do that mistake like her tormentor's did.

Briar ran toward's the three girl's and pushed the red one away, "Get off of him!"

The girl in red fell down and the other two got off the man and helped out their friend, while Briar helped out the monkey man.

"Are you okay, mister?" Briar said with a worried expression on her face.

"Mojo is fine. Except being accused of something and my pastry puffs being ruined." Said the monkey man, or Mojo, he calls himself.

Briar looked at the four pastry puff boxes, almost worned out and the pastry puffs all over and squished. Briar went over and cleaned up the mess, before handing them to Mojo.

"Here, I'm sorry if this happened to you, but I'm sure i can replace those for you." Briar said, reaching for her wallet.

"Thank you, tiny human. Your the kindest one out of all the others so far." Said Mojo.

"Help! Someone stop that guy!" A voice cried out from afar.

Briar watched as the three girls ran off without an apology. She handed her money to Mojo and got him and her feet up standing.

"Quick! Go find some place safe! And i hope it's enough to replace your pastry puffs!" Briar said, waving goodbye as she ran.

"I won't remember you! Thank you!" Mojo said, going towards the other way.

"Huh, That little human was so nice, I didn't catch her name..."

Briar ran to the commotion to see people on the ground near the pastry puff stand, in complete wreck. The ingredients were everywhere, the boxes were all over the place, and the pastry puffs were nowhere to be found. Briar ran towards one of the injured and helped them get up.

"What happened here?" Briar asked

"A mummy came out of nowhere and threw everyone away and ate all the pastry puffs!" An injured man replied.

"Oh dear! Where is it now?"

"It ran to the left and the powerpuff girls are following it's tracks right now."

"Ok. You go and get some help, I'll help out the others and keep track of that mummy!"

" 'Kay, Thank you young lady!" The man said as he ran off for help.

Briar nodded and ran off to find this 'mummy'. You see, Briar has lived under sneaky challenges and can easily slip through them. Briar isn't just looking for survivors of the rampage.

She's looking for new fresh meat to taste.
