Chapter 2 the perfect day or so I thought
I was staring out the window it was a rainy day I wanted to go on a run but I couldn't the rain prevented me from doing so tails my best friend was making a plane that can survive any type of weather however it was a prototype and he wanted to test it out. I decided to go into his workshop and watch the prototype in flight however I was scared that something might go wrong and he might get really hurt as I entered tails saw me come in and said "hey sonic check this out". I looked at his prototype the extreme surviver Mac 1. Once I looked it at it looked amazing it was a red, white, and blue bi-plane with 2 turbo engines with also a bullet proof window shield. I decided to tell tails what I thought about the plane "well he said". I smiled and said" well it seems you put a lot of work into this tails I really like it a lot". He smiled at what I said but before he said anything i said" I like it tails however this a test prototype so I want you be really careful with it and be safe kid". He said " don't worry sonic I'll be fine". Then tails entered the plane and flew it out of the workshop into the air I whispered under my breath "I hate when he says that and be careful tails i'd never forgive myself if you were seriously hurt". I watched as he flew the plane ever so carefully around the island we lived on however the hope in my eyes went away when a flash of lighting hit the wings of the plane and the engine. It felt like I was hit in the heart because the plane was hit and tails was in it. Then I watched in horror as the plane crashed. Before I knew what I was doing I was running toward the crash site to see my best friend to make sure he was okay but what I didn't know is that this is my worst nightmare coming true!
